ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

As the cages begin lowering and being consumed in the fiery pool, Donkey Kong strenuously reverses the chain pulley and raises the prisoners away from harms way. Unfortunately, Luigi looses his grip and plummets toward the lava as Mario - using a Tanooki Suit - swoops in and saves his brother just in time! Donkey Kong is also able to rescue his father, King Cranky Kong.

After an explosion creates a vacuum that causes everyone and Bowser's castle to be transported to Brooklyn, a great battle rages, with Bowser's army moments away from victory. Mario, while laying in a cafe bruised and beaten, happens to see his Super Mario Bros. Plumbing TV ad. Inspired, he continues his fight against Bowser, and with Luigi, eventually nab the Super Star! Becoming invincible, they finally defeat Bowser and the Koopas, saving the borough!


Bowser softly (and expertly!) plays his piano and sings a weird love song about Princess Peach: ♪ "Peach, you're so cool, And with my star we're gonna rule! Peach, understand, I'm gonna love you till the very end! Peaches, Peaches, Peaches, Peaches, Peaches…" ♪ (full Lyric video found in the Bonus Features section)


Mario, Peach and Toad arrive in Jungle Kingdom and demand to see King Cranky Kong. Blondie Kong accommodates, giving them a wild kart ride to the palace!

Reaching Princess Peach's castle, Mario and Toad are halted by two palace guards who deny entrance and give them the run-around. Toad, undeterred: "So they're messing with you, and I don't like it," as he pulls out a...spear? knife? sword? Nope, a frying pan! ...and quickly starts a fire and asks, "Um, what do you want to eat? Anything your heart desires! I am ready to scramble it up..."  Distracted by the meal, Mario easily sneaks into the castle.


Mario must defeat Donkey Kong before the Kong Army will join their battle against Bowser. To assist both, King Cranky Kong has placed special Power-Up blocks throughout the arena, which Donkey Kong scoffs at. The battle begins atop steel girders with Donkey Kong flinging barrels (reminiscent of the classic arcade game!) and easily overpowers the much smaller Mario. Not giving up, Mario finds and uses his first Power-Up, which unfortunately turns him teeny-tiny. Fighting through this and other set backs, Mario finally ingests a Cat Power-Up, allowing him to finally defeat Donkey Kong in cute-kitten-style! 


King Bowser's floating island fortress arrives at the Snow Kingdom's castle, emptying an army of Koopas and Bowzer himself. Penguin soldiers greet them and fire dozens of snowballs at Bowser's army to comical (no) effect. The Penguin King steps forward and threatens: "That is but a taste of our fury! Do you yield?"  Bowzer, chuckling: "I do not..." as he melts their icy castle with blasts of his blazing breath, stealing their Super Star!


In Bowser's lair, the most retched hive of scum and villainy, the Koopa King raises from his throne and reveals his plan: "After years of searching for the Super Star, it is finally ours! (Cheers!) I am now the most powerful turtle in the world! (Cheers!) Soon, we will arrive at the Mushroom Kingdom! (Cheers!) Where, after years of being sworn enemies, I will ask their princess to marry me in a fairy-tale wedding!" An awkward silence settles in as someone asks: "Did he say marry their princess?"  Another asks: "Doesn't she hate you?"  Bowser: "Of course she hates me. But that makes me love her all the more. Her heart-shaped bangs, the way she floats in the breeze, her immovable tiara. And when she sees this star..." chuckling, "...oh, wedding bells!"  And when a brave Koopa asks, "Well, what if she says no?" he is quickly blasted into a dead zombie.  Bowser: "Then I will power up with this star and destroy the Mushroom Kingdom! (Cheers!)  Prepare yourselves for the best wedding ever. It's gonna rock!"


Thinking they have won, Mario and Donkey Kong are hit with the dreaded blue-shell on their kart, breaking the Rainbow Road and sending them to their apparent watery death below. As they fall, Mario and Kong continue their dislike for each other as they hurtle objects and blame. When they hit the water a tire knocks Kong out cold.  Instead of just saving himself, Mario works hard to swim toward his nemesis, grab his tie, and barely save him from the jaws of a sea monster. Finally dragging him to the surface for air, Kong sputters and says: "Mario, you saved my life!"  Mario: "I won't tell anyone."  Kong: "Please don't."


After being sucked into a Warp Pipe and separated from his brother Mario, Luigi finds himself in the Dark Lands. Turning on his flashlight, he fearfully walks over flowing lava, dodges flying enemies, and finally encounters Zombie Koopas. Realizing they can't be killed, he flees and takes refuge in a foreboding castle, thinking he's safe...not realizing Shy Guys are waiting in the dark to abduct him!

Mario and Luigi arrive at their first plumbing job - a very high-end town house - to fix a small drip. The owners ask: "You'll be careful about making a mess?"  Luigi: "Ma'am, I can assure you, we don't make messes, we fix 'em!" But while walking to the bathroom, Luigi accidently breaks their dog's bone, angering the canine. Inside the bathroom, they easily fix the drip, but when the angered pet enters, chaos ensues, causes extensive damage to the immaculate bathroom. When the owners open the door and gasp, Mario - with the dog stuck to the end of his plunger - replies: "Found the problem!"


Mario and Luigi excitedly watch their plumbing ad on TV for the first time (as the classic Super Mario Bros. theme plays)... ♪ "We're the Mario Brothers and plumbing's our game! We're not like the others who get all the fame! …Forget-a the expensive a-plumbing companies, a-where you're just a face-a, With-a Super Mario Brothers-a, you're family!" ♪


Mario and Luigi arrive home from their first day at their dream job (Super Mario Bros. Plumbing!) and sit with their family for dinner. Their two uncles immediately start ridiculing them about their new commercial: "They give an Oscar for worst actors?" "I wouldn't quit your day job!"  "Oops, he already did!"  Mom, however, offers her support: "Don't listen to them. The world laughed at Da Vinci, too."  Luigi: "Um, I'm not sure they did, Ma..." Mario then asks Dad for his thoughts.  Dad: "I think you're nuts. You don't leave a steady job for some crazy dream. And the worst part? You're bringing your brother down with you."  Mario, as he leaves the table: "Well, thanks, Dad. Thanks for your support..."  Dad: "What'd I say?"

As Mario, Princess Peach, Toad and the Kong Army speed away on their karts to fight Bowser's army, Mario notices the giant ramp they are racing toward has a problem: "Um, no one panic, but the road is about to end."  Cranky Kong: "Well, then you better step on the gas and buckle up!"  They all do, flying off the ramp, into the clouds, and landing on a magical rainbow road - causing Mario to yell in delight!

After watching their plumbing TV ad in a café, the two brothers are confronted by their old employer, Spike. "Well, well, well, if it isn't Brooklyn's favorite failures, the Stupid Mario Brothers…" After continued harassment, Spike insults Luigi, "Good luck running a business with this idiot!"  Mario, standing up for his bro: "Say that again about my brother and you're going to regret it!" Spike stands, easily lifting Mario by his shirt, threatens him, and tosses Mario to the floor before walking out in laughter. Luigi: "Are you insane? He's three times your size!"  Mario: "Luigi, come on! You know, you can't be scared all the time?"  Luigi: "Mm, you'd be surprised..."


After being sucked into a Warp Pipe and separated from his brother Luigi, Mario lands in Mushroom Kingdom. He meets Toad who insists on taking him to see Princess Peach. Struggling to make their way through the crowded streets, Toad yells: "Excuse me everybody, coming through! Got a big adventure happening right now! Just clear a path for us. Excuse me, everybody! This guy's brother is going to die imminently! Out of the way, please!"  To Mario: "Just clearing a path... He's gonna be fine."  They ride a lift to an upper area, navigate floating platforms and floating bricks, zoom through multiple clear pipes, until finally being spit out of a green pipe, right in front of Princess Peach's castle, dazed and confused.  Toad: "Here we are. Palace doors. Bing, bang, boom!"


Meeting Princess Peach, Mario explains losing his brother Luigi in the Dark Lands and the desire to rescue him. The Princess sees his plight and is up to the mission, when Mario asks to come with her. She refuses, referencing his size and inexperience, but Mario stands firm. Princess: "Okay, let's see what you're made of," as she takes him to a training course, containing all the classic Nintendo obstacles. Princess: "If you can finish this, you're coming with me," as she quickly works her way through the course, swooping down on the flag at the end. She shows Mario how to acquire special abilities (mushroom power-ups!), making him grow in size. Realizing he looses his special size with each fall, Mario still tries and fails hundreds of times throughout the day and night. The next morning, Princess happily moves on: "Well, we have a long journey ahead of us, Mustache."  Mario: "But, I didn't make it?"  Princess: "You almost did! No one gets it right away."  Mario: "How many times did it take you?"  Right away, she reveals.


The voice actor for Princess Peach, Anya Taylor-Joy, provides five Leadership Lessons from the movie. (1) Be compassionate. The Princess demonstrates this when first listening to Mario's problems.
