ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Movie Ideas, Movie Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show thousands of movie titles and TV shows from a number of producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 4,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including all the titles that  part of the ScreenVue Vault.

All such service providers are contractually required to keep your data safe, use it only for the purposes agreed, and delete it when it is no longer required. They have agreed not share it, nor use it for their marketing purposes.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Movie Ideas, Movie Views, and Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of content: 
- *Movie Ideas*: Has the "light-bulb icon," where you would use your own movie (Digital, Stream, Blu-ray, or DVD you already have access to) with our cues and details; as this idea is not available as a View or Download.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including movie content? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include movie content, the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming movie content - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream movie content inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include movie content, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

The Grinch gets ready for a miserable day with Max's help, while the classic song plays.


“All this excess and nonsense, it was all about greed; about meaningless stuff that they didn’t even need,” states the Grinch as he begins to steal Christmas from a Whoville house!


The Grinch is relentlessly pursued by cheerful carolers through Whoville — singing “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” — which highlights his growing frustration with the town’s festive spirit.

The Grinch gives back everything he stole from Whoville - admitting he was the thief.


*A friendly store clerk greets the Grinch as he walks through the door, but the Grinch holds up a finger to silence him.  Scowling, he stalks down the aisles, filling his wagon with enough food so that he will not have to return to civilization for months.  Browsing, he spots a jar of spicy pickles in a lady's basket.  With her back turned, he swipes her jar of pickles and tries one.  His face registers disgust.  He spits the pickle back into the jar and puts it in a different customer's basket.  Walking down the next aisle, he spies a short woman trying to reach a jar on a high shelf.  Her arms are just too short to grab the jar, the last of its kind on the shelf.  The Grinch snags the jar for himself, looking at the label.  Woman, kindly: "Excuse me, are you getting that?  I need it for my Christmas stuffing."  The Grinch cares nothing for the jar of chutney, but doesn't hand it to the woman.  Instead, he puts it back on the shelf, just out of her reach.  Woman, indignant: "Well, that's not very nice!"  On his way out, the Grinch nudges the shelves just enough so the jar of chutney falls to the floor and breaks.  The Grinch's face cracks into a smile. (*Starts at 1:40 in video)

After working the night shift, Donna is home getting breakfast for her three small children.  While tackling a clogged drain with a toy arrow, she talks on the phone to a friend: "No, I can't today.  I have a list of errands a mile long and the babysitter left the sink backed up.  No, I'm not complaining.  I'm venting.  There's a difference."  With amazing levels of multi-tasking, Donna proceeds to unclog the drain, make oatmeal for two unruly twin babies, referee fights, and toss two pieces of bread across the room and into the toaster.  Like a skilled pro, Donna has obviously done this a lot.  Still, signs that she is weary are evident.  She sighs heavily, shoulders drooping, as a baby dumps out his oatmeal.  She groans when the clogged sink spills suds all over her sweater.  She stops to breathe for just a moment before tackling the next thing.  But, she puts on a bright, smiling face for little Cindy Lou as she comes downstairs and greets her mother.  Cindy sniffs the air: "Something's burning.  Mom, the toast!"  Without missing a beat, Donna flings the arrow at the toaster, striking the button that pops the toast.  Two pieces of toast fly into the air.  With lightning speed, Donna grabs two plates, catches the toast, spreads jelly, and pops them in front of the twins.

The Grinch walks through the happy crowd of festive Whos, looking distressed and overwhelmed.  All around him, people are smiling, laughing, and celebrating the Christmas season.  But, to him, it is a frightening sight: "It took him right back to his earliest years, to that lost, lonely boy who cried all of those tears."  In his mind's eye, the Grinch returns to that cold, empty orphanage where he spent his childhood.  Narrator: "That lost, lonely boy, isolated and sad, with no home of his own, no mom and no dad."  The small grinch looks sadly out of the orphanage, separated from the rest of the town by large iron gates.  Narrator, speaking of the present-day Grinch: "And as the Grinch looked around, he felt downright scared, as he remembered that Christmas where nobody cared.  Where nobody showed, not even a flea.  Where there were no cards, no gifts, and no tree."  Little Grinch walks into a big room at the orphanage, imagining it is festively decorated like the rest of the town.  But the image disappears as he walks into the room, leaving it cold and empty.  Later, he stands outside, watching happy children play in the snow with their parents.  Narrator: "And, as he watched other kids, one thing became clear:  that this was the single worst day of the year."  The little orphan turns away from the happy scene and returns to the lonely orphanage.

When Cindy Lou announces her plan to trap Santa Claus, her friends aren't exactly interested.  Ozzy: "Why would we want to do that?"  Axl, thinking the plan is to steal Santa's toys, gets a little excited.  But, when he hears that Cindy Lou just wants to talk to Santa for "personal reasons," he loses interest in the idea.  Ozzy agrees: "I don't want to do it if you won't tell me why."  Axl: "What are you talking about, 'personal'?"  Cindy Lou: "Axl, when you asked to borrow $16 and my mom's suitcase, did I ask you why?"  Ozzy smirks until she turns to him: "And what about you, Ozzy, remember when you got stuck in that - -"  Ozzy interrupts, embarrassed: "All right, all right, okay!"  Cindy Lou: "I did it because you're my friend.  And when something matters to you, that means it matters to me."  The four friends look at her, amazed at her profound description of friendship: "That's beautiful."  Axl: "You convinced me."  Ozzy: "Count me in, too!"

The Grinch shows Max and Fred his plan to rob the Whos of all their Christmas goodies, telling them time will be of the essence.  Grinch, warningly: "Believe you me, there will be temptation."  He raises a curtain, revealing a model of a home decorated for Christmas.  Underneath the tree are piles of presents.  The Grinch picks one up and lovingly caresses it: "You will want to unwrap it and play with it."  He flings it away: "But you must not!"  Grinch, continuing toward a small table: "If you can get past the present, the only obstacle left is...THE COOKIE!"  The Grinch holds out a beautifully frosted Santa-shaped cookie: "Look at it in all its red, sugary splendor."  Fred and Max inch toward the treat, noses quivering and tongues hanging.  The Grinch pulls it back, protectively: "No, no, no!  Look at yourselves!  Discipline!  We must - -"  The Grinch, who had been waving the cookie around as he spoke, is silenced when Fred unceremoniously chomps down on his hand, inhaling the entire cookie.  Fred, still chewing, looks at him defiantly.  Grinch, finishing his sentence: "Resist."

The Grinch, about to destroy all of the toys he stole from the Whos, is distracted when he hears the sound of singing coming from the village.  Walking to the cliff edge, he looks down and sees the Whos gathered together in the town square, hands joined and voices raised in song.  Grinch, flabbergasted: "They're singing?  Don't they know what I've done?"  Pulling out a telescope, he focuses in on little Cindy Lou, who sings the Christmas song with a contented smile on her face.  Narrator: "As he watched the small girl, he thought he might melt.  If he did what she did, would he feel what she felt?"  And the Grinch closes his eyes, letting the song fill his heart.  Narrator: "And the luscious sound swelled, reaching up to the skies.  And the Grinch heard with his heart, and it tripled in size."  A smile of pure joy comes over the Grinch's face.

The Grinch is surprised when he hears a knock on his door and even more surprised to see it is little Cindy Lou.  The friendly girl introduces herself and then tells him why she's come: "I just came to invite you to our house for Christmas dinner."  The Grinch is stunned: "What?  Me?  But I took your gifts.  And your trees.  I stole your whole Christmas!"  Cindy Lou, smiling: "I know you did.  But we're inviting you anyway."  Grinch, quietly: "But, why?"  Cindy Lou: "Because, you've been alone long enough."  As Cindy Lou leaves, the Grinch stands there, looking dazed and...touched.

When Donna calls everyone in to dinner, Cindy Lou takes the Grinch by the hand: "You're sitting next to me."  Smiling, he allows her to lead him and sits down at the full table.  He looks around, touched by the sense of togetherness he feels.  When Donna asks him to do the honor of cutting the roast beast, he asks if he can say something first.  Standing, he looks around at the people who were once his enemies: "I've spent my entire life hating Christmas and everything about it.  But now I see that it wasn't Christmas I hated.  It was being alone.  But I'm not alone anymore.  And I have all of you to thank for it.  But especially this little girl right here."  The Grinch smiles down at Cindy Lou.  He looks at her mother: "Ma'am, your daughter's kindness changed my life."  Cindy Lou smiles: "Merry Christmas, Mister Grinch."  Grinch, smiling back: "Merry Christmas, Cindy Lou."  The Grinch raises his glass in a toast: "To kindness and love...the things we need most."

Fred and Max complicate the Grinch's plans.


The Grinch's plan to catapult Whoville's tree misfires in a big way.
