ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

When Mulan finds herself in a very difficult situation, her ancestors send someone to protect her - but her protector appears to be very "little" help!

A sentry stands guard over the Great Wall of China.  Suddenly, a grappling hook sails through the air and over the wall.  As the sentry moves to investigate, hundreds of hooks join the first.  The sentry calls out a warning that China is under attack and he runs to get help.  He arrives at the warning beacon in time to light the signal and alert the rest of the guards, but the leader of the Huns, Shan-Yu, is there to see it.  Sentry: "Now all of China knows you're here."  Shan-Yu smiles evilly as he burns the Chinese flag: "Perfect."

Fa Li waits anxiously for her daughter, Mulan, to arrive at their appointment with the matchmaker.  (This is a critical time for a girl, and the impressions she makes with the matchmaker will affect the rest of her future.)  Fa Li, worried over Mulan's tardiness: "Of all days to be late!  I should have prayed to the ancestors for luck."   Mulan's grandmother walks up to Fa Li, carrying a cricket in a cage: "How lucky can they be?  They're dead.  Besides, I've got all the luck we'll need."  Grandmother holds up the cricket.  To test the cricket's luck, she closes her eyes and blindly crosses the busy street.  She passes by carts, huge cattle, wagons, and other dangers, arriving safely on the other side.  Although she has left a disaster of wrecks in her wake, Grandmother pronounces the cricket lucky.

Mulan's meeting with the influential town matchmaker doesn't get off to a good start.  Following the woman into her office, Mulan is subjected to a critical examination.  The matchmaker voices her observations, making notes: "Too skinny.  Not good for bearing sons."  A cricket jumps out of Mulan's dress and she hides it in her mouth before the matchmaker can see.  However, it is at this moment that she is asked to recite the required knowledge for marriageable girls.  She hides her face behind her fan and spits out the cricket, reciting the knowledge from her notes written on her arm.  The matchmaker, suspecting Mulan of cheating when she misreads a word, grabs her arm to check her fan.  Satisfied that the girl has nothing written on her fan, the matchmaker releases Mulan's arm, not realizing that ink from Mulan's arm is now all over her hand.  The two sit at a table to demonstrate Mulan's skill at pouring tea.  Mulan, however, is distracted by the beard of ink that is now on the matchmaker's face (she touched her face with her hand) and she pours the tea onto the table.  Finally successfully getting tea into the cup, Mulan looks down with horror to see the cricket taking a luxurious bath in the tea.  The matchmaker takes the tea.  Mulan tries to warn her, but she is silenced.  Mulan tries to take the tea back, but she only succeeds in spilling it down the front of the matchmaker's dress (along with the cricket).  The matchmaker dances around, trying to get the cricket out of her dress, and she inadvertently knocks over the hot coals for the tea.  She trips, falling onto the coals and burning a hole in the backside of her dress.  Mulan tries to put out the fire, but she only succeeds in fanning the flames larger.  The matchmaker's screams can be heard by the mothers and daughters waiting outside.  The matchmaker rushes outside, her behind on fire, yelling for someone to help.  Mulan throws the pot of tea at the flames, but misses and hits the matchmaker's face instead.  Matchmaker, makeup dripping over a deep scowl: "You are a disgrace!  You may look like a bride, but you will never bring your family honor!"

Mulan's parents are devastated by her decision to run away and join the Chinese army.  Her grandmother prays to their dead ancestors for her protection: "Ancestors, hear our prayer.  Watch over Mulan."  Meanwhile, inside the family temple, where the tombs of the ancestors lie, Grandmother's prayers awaken the spirits of the dead.  The gravestones light up and the spirit of an elderly man rises up from the ground.  The spirit man awakens a dragon, who offers to protect the family.  The spirit man, however, gestures to the stone idols looking down on them from the ceiling, telling the dragon that the idols are the guardians of the family.  The dragon's job is to awaken the rest of the ancestors.  Dragon, sighing: "One family reunion, coming right up."  He hits his gong, and all around the temple, spirits of Mulan's dead ancestors begin to rise.

Captain Li Shang has been given the task of training an inexperienced group of men (and one woman) for battle.  While the men are put through rigorous training exercises, a song sung by the Captain plays in the background: ♪ "You're the saddest bunch I ever met, but you can bet before we're through... Mister, I'll make a man out of you!" ♪  At first, the men fail at most of the tasks set before them.  Mulan, in particular, is having difficulties performing the very physically demanding feats.  She fails so miserably, in fact, that the Captain dismisses her from service.  Determined not to dishonor her family, Mulan sets out to prove her ability to the Captain.  She spends all night working at a challenge no other soldier has been able to win.  As the sun rises the next morning, with sweat pouring off her face, Mulan succeeds where all others had failed.  She wins back the Captain's approval and soon she and the rest of the recruits are running, fighting, and shooting like real soldiers.

The evil Shan-Yu is searching for clues as to the location of the Chinese army.  His falcon drops a small doll into his hand.  Taking the doll to his men, Shan-Yu asks them what they see.  Man #1, looking at the stain the doll has left on his hand: "Black pine...from the high mountains."  Man #2, pulling a hair off the doll: "White horse hair.  Imperial stallions."  Man #3 sniffs the doll: "Sulfur, from cannons."  Shan-Yu compiles their observations to form a conclusion: "This doll came from a village in the Tung Shao Pass, where the imperial army is waiting for us."  The men determine to use their newfound knowledge to launch a surprise attack on their enemies.

Mulan is posing as a man to take her father's place in the Chinese army.  Wanting to get cleaned up, Mulan decides to take a bath in the deserted lake after nightfall.  Mushu tries to dissuade her, afraid that she'll blow their cover, but Mulan is determined to get clean.  She enjoys her solitary bath until three of her fellow soldiers surprise her by taking flying leaps into the water.  They try to get her to engage in their water play, but Mulan, embarrassed, makes excuses to leave.  Mulan hides her face as the men continue to try to get her to join in the fun.  Finally, she is able to move toward the edge of the lake and sneak out under cover of her horse.  Mulan: "Boy, that was close.  I never want to see a naked man again."  Just as soon as the words are out of her mouth, the rest of the soldiers run by in a blurry herd, joining the rest of the group in their skinny dip.

Captain Li Shang and his tiny army are confronted by the evil Shan-Yu and his army of Huns.  Outnumbered by a large amount, Shang's men bravely face the advancing hoard, determined to fight with honor.  Mulan suddenly realizes that if they aim their last cannon at the snowy cliffs overhead, they can bury the Huns under an avalanche.  She quickly takes the cannon before anyone can stop her, and runs toward the enemy.  She plants the cannon in the ground and takes aim, but the Huns are almost on top of her.  Seeing her bravery, the rest of the army is inspired to assist her and they rush forward to help.  Just as she is about to be killed by Shan-Yu, Mulan fires the rocket.  Shan-Yu glares in fury as he sees his men struggling to escape the river of falling snow.  He swipes at Mulan with his sword, wounding her, and then turns to help his men.  Soon, Shan-Yu and all his men are buried under feet of snow and Li Shang's army is hidden safely under a rocky overhang.

Mulan has just been dismissed by the Chinese military for impersonating a man.  Mushu laments over his failure to succeed in his mission to help Mulan.  He sees his promises for a promotion from the ancestors disappear.  He sits dejectedly next to Mulan, who is also struggling with her own sense of discouragement.  Mulan: "I should never have left home."  Mulan had been hoping to prove her worth to herself, but instead she is left feeling disgraced and defeated.  Mushu sees his friend's despair and tries to cheer her up by confessing his own weaknesses.  He had lied about being sent by the ancestors and he did it for selfish purposes.  He comforts Mulan, who is afraid to go home and face her father: "Don't you worry, okay?  Things will work out.  We started this thing together, and that's how we'll finish it.  I promise."  The two friends embrace and Mulan is encouraged by Mushu's support.

General Li has come before the throne of the Emperor to warn him of a coming Hun attack:  "Your Majesty, the Huns have crossed our northern border."  Chi Fu, advisor to the Emperor, blinded by pride: "Impossible.  No one can get through the Great Wall."  Li: "Shan-Yu is leading them.  We'll set up defenses around your palace immediately."  Emperor, standing up from his throne: "No.  Send your troops to protect my people."  Emperor, addressing his advisor: "Chi Fu?"  Chi Fu: "Yes, Your Highness?"  Emperor: "Deliver conscription notices throughout all the provinces.  Call up reserves and as many new recruits as possible."  Li: "Forgive me, Your Majesty, but I believe my troops can stop him."  Emperor, sagely: "I won't take any chances, General.  A single grain of rice can tip the scale.  One man may be the difference between victory and defeat."

Mulan is upset that her father has been ordered to fight with the army against the invading Huns.  Unable to hold her emotions in any longer, she begins venting her frustration.  Mulan, slamming her cup on the table: "You shouldn't have to go!"  Mother: "Mulan..."  Mulan, ignoring her mother and continuing to rant: "There are plenty of young men to fight for China."  Father: "It is an honor to protect my country and my family."  Mulan, upset: "So, you'll die for honor?"  Father, standing up, losing his patience: "I will die doing what's right!"  Mulan: "But if you..."  Father, interrupting with a yell: "I know my place!  It is time you learned yours."

Li Shang and his troops, having defeated the terrible Huns, are being honored in a parade.  Mulan, expelled from the group for masquerading as a warrior named Ping, has tracked down Shang to warn him that the Huns have survived.  Mulan, riding her horse next to Shang's: "Shang!"  Shang, surprised: "Mulan?"  Mulan, urgently: "The Huns are alive!  They're in the city!"  Shang, embittered by Mulan's past deception: "You don't belong here, Mulan.  Go home."  Mulan, unwilling to give up: "I saw them in the mountains.  You have to believe me."  Shang: "Why should I?"  Mulan, blocking Shang's way with her horse: "Why else would I come back?  You said you'd trust Ping.  Why is Mulan any different?"  Shang, allowing his anger with Mulan to cloud his judgment, ignores her warning and continues to ride.

Mulan, having defeated Shan-Yu, has saved China and the Emperor.  For her heroism she has been awarded the Emperor's crest and Shan-Yu's sword.  Father, shocked by his daughter's return: "Mulan!"  Mulan, bowing and handing her father the sword: "Father, I brought you the sword of Shan-Yu.  And the crest of the Emperor."  Mulan, taking the crest from around her neck and giving it to her father: "They're gifts, to honor the Fa family."  Father, dumping the gifts on the ground and embracing his daughter: "The greatest gift and honor is having you for a daughter."
