ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Lt. Colonel Moore is in charge of a new group of officers who will be trained to lead soldiers into battle via helicopter drop.  He greets his new officers and introduces them to the program, showing them the helicopters they will use.  Moore: "I can assure you that neither the new technology, nor your status as officers will keep you above the danger.  I come from the paratroopers, where the officer is always the first one out of the plane.  Because, to follow your instincts and to inspire your men by your example, you have to be with them, where the metal meets the meat."

Lt. Colonel Hal Moore enters his children's bedroom, where all five are laughing together.  After ascertaining they have yet to say their prayers, Hal kneels at the bed and prays with his children.  Hal, a Catholic, begins the traditional 'Hail Mary,' but stops after a few moments when he notices his daughter, Cecile, isn't praying with him.  Moore: "Cecile, I don't hear you praying, honey."  Cecile: "I don't wanna be Catholic.  I wanna be a 'Nethodist' like Mommy."  Moore: "You do?  And why is that, honey?"  Cecile: "So I can pray whatever I want."  Moore's oldest son: "That's a sin!"  Moore is quick to reassure his children that it is not a sin to pray in your own words to God.  Moore, to Cecile: "God just made you hard-headed.  It's not a sin.  I'll tell you what...you wanna pray and thank God for our family?"  Cecile: "Yes, sir."  The family resumes their prayers.

2nd Lt. Jack Geoghegan, a young officer, is watching his men hike up a hill after a long march.  He notices one man, Godboldt, lagging far behind the others and limping.  When the men stop for rest, he orders Godboldt to take off his boots.  The man, wincing, complies.  Lt. Geoghegan kneels, taking Godboldt's foot in his hands.  He carefully examines it, noticing a terrible open wound.  Telling Godboldt to draw fresh socks from supply and to keep his feet dusted with powder, he orders the rest of the men to take off their boots and examine each other's feet.  Watching from a distance, Lt. Colonel Moore smiles, turning to the Sergeant Major: "Now that young man's a leader."

Julie Moore, wife of Lt. Colonel Moore, has gathered a group of military wives together for mutual support and encouragement.  (They are all new to the base and their husbands are about to be shipped to Vietnam.)  The ladies share tips on local shopping before discussing the Laundromat situation.  Catherine naively mentions the local Laundromat only allows the washing of white clothes because their sign reads, 'Whites Only.'  The sole black woman in the group tells her the sign meant only white people could use the Laundromat.  Catherine, shocked and disgusted: "That's awful!  Your husband is wearing the uniform of a country that allows a place to...to say that his laundry's not good enough when he could die for..."  She looks around at the other ladies, who are visibly uncomfortable.  Catherine apologizes for her anger, but the woman reassures her: "That's okay.  I know what my husband's fighting for, and that's why I can smile."  (Caution: 'g-----n' used once as profanity)

Second Lt. Jack Geoghegan is praying inside the chapel of a hospital.  His first child has just been born.  Knowing he is about to be shipped to Vietnam, Jack worries about his dual responsibilities as father and soldier.  His Lt. Colonel walks into the chapel and Jack shares his concerns with the father of five.  Jack: "What do you think about being a soldier and a father?"  Lt. Colonel Moore: "I hope being good at the one makes me better at the other."  Jack shares some of the reasoning behind his struggle.  After college, he and his wife worked in Africa, starting a school for children orphaned by the leader of a rival tribe.  Jack: "I know God has a plan for me.  I just hope it's to help protect orphans, not make any."  The Colonel suggests praying to ask God for direction.  They pray together.

Lt. Colonel Moore is reading stories to his young daughter before bed.  Knowing her daddy is a soldier about to go to war, Cecile asks him what a war is.  Moore: "A war is...it's something that shouldn't happen, but it does.  And it's when some people in another country, or any country, try to take the lives of other people.  And then soldiers like your daddy...it's my job to go over there and stop them."  Cecile, her brow furrowed with concern: "Are they gonna try to take your life away, Daddy?"  Moore hesitates briefly: "Well, yes, Cecile, they're gonna try.  But I'm not gonna let 'em."  She smiles and he hugs his daughter.

Lt. Colonel Moore is about to leave with his troop to fight in Vietnam.  The soldiers are standing at attention in a stadium, their families watching from the stands, while Colonel Moore gives a speech encouraging the men before they enter the battle.  Moore tells the men to look around them and see all the different ethnicities that are represented in their troop.  Moore: "All Americans.  Now, here in the States, some men in this unit may experience discrimination because of race or creed.  But for you and me now, all that is gone.  We're moving into the Valley of the Shadow of Death.  Where you will watch the back of the man next to you, as he will watch yours.  And you won't care what color he is, or by what name he calls God.  They say we're leaving home.  We're going to what home was always supposed to be.  So, let us understand the situation...we are going into battle against a tough and determined enemy.  I can't promise you that I will bring you all home alive.  But this I swear...before you and before Almighty God...that when we go into battle, I will be the first to set foot on the field.  And I will be the last to step off.  And I will leave no one behind.  Dead or alive, we will all come home together.  So help me God."

2nd Lt. Henry Herrick has been mortally wounded in a battle in Vietnam.  His fellow soldiers try to stop the bleeding, but he is already going into shock.  Shaking and shivering, Henry gives final instructions to his next-in-command.  His shivering slows and the young officer speaks his last words: "I'm glad I could die for my country."  Henry dies.  The doctor, his hand covered in Henry's blood, closes Henry's eyes.  (Caution: intense scene, with blood)

Sgt. Savage is the ranking soldier in his troop now that his superior officers have been killed.  Most of the troop, in fact, are dead, having been ambushed and separated from the other troops near the beginning of the battle.  Sgt. Savage and a few others, mostly wounded, are lying in the dark forest, hoping for rescue.  Sp4 Galen Bungum whispers to Savage that he can smell the enemy advancing on them.  Savage, disbelieving, tells him it's the smell of the dead bodies.  Bungum, however, is insistent and Savage radios for illumination to be given at their coordinates.  Suddenly, a large flare lights up the sky in front of them, revealing a group of enemy soldiers mere feet in front of them.  The soldiers open fire, and bullets are exchanged while Savage radios for artillery backup.  Miraculously, it appears none of Savage's men have been injured in the skirmish, but it has left them even more aware of their perilous position.  Savage radios his captain: "Captain, if you guys are coming (to the rescue), you gotta let us know.  It's pitch black out here.  I don't want to shoot any of our own guys."  The captain, his own troop of soldiers held back by the enemy from rescuing Savage, radios back: "We can't make it tonight.  Don't worry, you're gonna make it.  We'll come get you in the morning."  Savage, horrified at the thought of spending the rest of the night in their position, stares at Bungum.  Bungum, his own face terrified, watches Savage in return.

Lt. Colonel Moore's troops have fought a long, hard battle.  It is now night and there is no end in sight to their hardships.  The men lie half-buried in ditches, taking cover behind the bodies of dead enemies.  The young men's faces are dirty and weary.  Some struggle to stay alert, and all are frightened.  Gunfire and explosions sound all around them.  The Colonel walks among his men, stopping to encourage each one.  He places his hand on one soldier's back: "Hey.  You're doing a fine job, son.  Don't worry.  We gave them more than they gave us today."  He moves on to the next group, patting their helmets: "How you boys doing?  You keep doing what you're doing, we'll be fine."  He greets his lieutenant, giving him the same encouragement he gave the other men.  He receives a call from his commander off-site.  He asks for a current count of the dead and wounded.  Colonel: "I got to know where all my boys are."

Julie and Barbara, both officers' wives, were so disgusted with the way the military was notifying wives of their husbands' deaths (the wives received telegrams delivered by a taxi cab driver) that they decided to deliver the messages personally.  Having just delivered a heart-wrenching message, the two ladies return to Julie's house to find a whole stack of telegrams delivered in the short time they were gone.  Stunned to see so many so suddenly and also scared that one of the telegrams might be for them, the ladies decide to deliver them together for moral support.  Holding hands, they walk to the first newly-widowed woman's house.  House by house, women and their children receive the terrible news that their husbands and fathers have been killed in action.  An American flag waves in the background of the tear-stained faces as the wives mourn for their husbands.  By the end of the afternoon, Julie and Barbara are emotionally drained, but both are committed to continue delivering the messages themselves, to support their fellow wives.

The soldiers are lining up the bodies of the dead, killed in one of the early battles of Vietnam.  Lt. Colonel Moore kneels beside the fallen men, praying to God.  Amidst the darkness, the gunfire and explosions, and the dead, Colonel Moore prays Psalm 130: "Out of the depths I cry unto Thee, O Lord.  Lord, hear my voice.  Let Thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.  Thou, O Lord, shall mark our iniquities.  Lord, who can abide them?  With Thee there is mercy."  Colonel Moore believes in the merciful God, despite the suffering he sees around him, and he prays for the Lord to give rest to their souls.

1st Lt. Charlie Hastings is the communications officer in charge of giving planes the coordinates needed to deploy bombs and artillery on target.  Charlie's troop is currently under serious fire and a group of planes has just arrived to help them fight the battle.  As the soldiers on the ground fight, Charlie radios coordinates to the planes, who then drop napalm on the enemy soldiers below.  Charlie calls out several sets of coordinates and the planes drop right on target.  Rivers of flames from the napalm engulf the enemy soldiers.  Suddenly, Charlie mistakenly gives the wrong coordinates.  Lt. Colonel Moore hears him and looks up in fear at the sky.  He orders Charlie to call off the drop, but it's too late.  The napalm lands close to Charlie's group and they watch in horror as several of their comrades are engulfed in the flames.  Charlie's face is filled with remorse as he watches the terrible scene.  Almost crying out loud, Charlie is about to lose control when Moore puts a hand on his shoulder.  Moore: "Charlie, listen to me.  You're keeping us alive now.  You forget about that one!  Keep 'em coming in.  You're doing well, son."  Charlie, shaking, resumes his radio controls.  (Caution: scene of intense battle, 'g-----n' used once as profanity, 'b---h' used once as profanity)

After a fierce three-day battle, with many casualties, Colonel Moore and his men have finally routed the enemy.  The Colonel and Joe, a reporter who endured the battle with him, are standing next to a pile of bloody garbage.  Helmets with gaping holes, empty I. V. bags, and used bandages...all coated in blood...are a reminder of the lives lost the past three days.  Both men look like they've been through a fire.  The Colonel sees the pile and struggles to hold back tears.  Colonel: "I'll never forgive myself."  Joe, confused: "For what, sir?"  Colonel: "That my men...that my men died and I didn't."  Joe nods, understanding.  Joe, blown away by all that he has seen and experienced in the last 36 hours, tells the Colonel that he has no idea how to write the story for the American people.  The Colonel tells him he must write it...he must tell about the sacrifices of his men for the good of their country.  Both men have tears in their eyes.  Colonel: "You tell them how my troopers died."  Joe walks away.  The Colonel, alone for the first time in days, breaks down and cries.
