ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

Alex is dreaming that he's all alone in the plains of Africa.  Calling out for his friends, he suddenly sees Marty limping along on a treadmill.  When Marty turns around to face him, Alex cries out, surprised to see his once robust friend toothless and gray-headed.  One of Marty's eyes is clouded over with a cataract.  Next, Alex falls on top of Melman's leg.  Melman cries out, but then laughs, telling Marty he hasn't had any feeling in that particular appendage for years.  Alex gazes at his friend in amazement.  Melman is in a wheelchair, his long giraffe-neck held up by braces.  He is hooked up to an IV and his sparse hair is white.  Alex, whispering in fearful confusion: "Melman, why do you look like that?"  Alex turns around when Gloria steps on him with her walker.  With her gray hair in a bun and a crocheted shawl over her drooping shoulders, Gloria looks nothing like the hippo Alex remembers.  Gloria snaps at Alex's surprise: "Look who's talking?"  Alex, backing away from her in horror: "Gloria?  Why are you guys so elderly?"  Gloria: "Now, when was the last time you looked in a mirror?"  Alex, confused: "What?"  He backs into a mirror and turns to face it.  Alex screams when he sees the gray-maned, elderly lion looking back at him.

Alex, Gloria, Melman, and Marty are hidden in a casino, watching penguins play roulette.  They hope to capture the penguins without alerting the casino patrons to their presence.  Alex, looking at a clock, reminds his friends of the short window of opportunity they will have when the lemurs cut the power to the casino.  Alex outlines the plan to Marty, preparing to lower himself into the game room: "I drop down, grab the penguins, you crank me up, and we are out of here."  Marty tells Alex he wants to be the one to grab the penguins, but Alex quickly vetoes his suggestion on account of his lack of fingers.  Alex: "These are things a leader has to think of."  Marty, pushing Alex: "Why should you be the leader?  Why not me?  Who voted you Grand Phase Master anyway?"  Alex: "Me!  I voted me!  'Cause I'm the leader!"  Melman suddenly steps forward: "Maybe I should be in charge.  I am a doctor."  Marty, excitedly: "Why can't we all be leaders?"  Gloria interrupts impatiently, walking toward the group: "Enough!  I'm gonna lead."  Distracted by the argument, Gloria unthinkingly walks out onto the glass ceiling atop the casino.  Suddenly, the ceiling breaks under her weight and she and her friends crash down into the game room below.  Their plan to remain covert is ruined by the screams of the casino patrons.

King Julien, Maurice, and Mort are just entering a darkened circus car, believing it to be empty.  The three lemurs look around the car and begin to see signs of its occupation.  A half-gnawed tire, a wall full of claw marks, and some scary-looking restraining devices all serve to make them suspect a terrifying creature may be hidden in the darkness.  Whimpering and shaking, the three stare with wide eyes into the shadows.  Suddenly, they step on fresh fish bones.  Crying out in terror, they notice a trail of bones leading into the darkness.  A guttural growl makes them squeal again.  Now completely terrified, they can only watch as a creature begins to move into the light.  Teeth chattering, Maurice and Mort hide behind Julien and the background music builds to a fearful crescendo.  Suddenly, the music stops and light invades the car, revealing the source of all of their fears...a bear in a pink tutu riding a tricycle around in circles.

Alex and his friends are regretting their decision to buy a dying European circus.  Having bought the circus to obtain passage to New York, they find themselves stuck with the circus, but no closer to New York.  Marty, discouraged: "We could at least have bought a circus that knew how to circ."  Penguin: "I don't even know why we bought a circus in the first place.  We had enough dough for a plane."  Melman's jaw drops to hear how wealthy the penguins were.  Gloria: "You must have some money left over."  Penguin, proudly pulling out a pair of golden dentures: "I used it to buy teeth and then have them capped in gold.  Now I can eat apples!"  He pops the dentures in his mouth, scratching his head: "Sadly, I discovered that I don't like apples."

Stefano is showing Alex around a room filled with trophies and posters of the many past achievements of the Circus Zaragoza.  Alex -- familiar with only a struggling, mediocre circus -- is surprised at the success Zaragoza once enjoyed.  Stefano tells Alex the story of the circus's star, Vitaly, and how his pride led to the destruction of his career.  As Stefano tells the story, Alex sees a young Vitaly in his mind's eye, dazzling the crowd with his incredible stunts and exalting in the adoration of the public.  Vitaly's thirst for achievement made him take bigger and bigger risks with his act.  Stefano: "He would not stop pushing...and, one fateful day, he push too far."   During a performance, Vitaly's recklessness led to a terrible accident.  One which scarred him physically as well as emotionally.  Stefano: "He fly too close to the sun and he got burned.  And he lost everything.  His wife...she run off with a musician.  He lost his dignity, his fame, his passion, and his fur."   Vitaly and the circus were never the same again.

Alex and Stefano have been discussing the past glories of the Circus Zaragoza, as compared with its dismal present.  Alex, suddenly excited, suggests changing the entire format of the circus: "We will come up with something fresh, something amazing, something brand-new."  Although Alex's friends are excited by the idea of change, the performers themselves react with anger at Alex's suggestion.  Vitaly, thrusting his fist aggressively at Alex: "Circus has been same for generations!  We make good, classic family entertainment."  Stefano suggests that, perhaps, families aren't quite as entertained as they used to be.  Alex agrees that the act is stale: "You're just going through the motions out there.  It's missing passion.  Fact is, you guys, you got stuck in a rut.  You stopped pushing.  You stopped taking risks.  But those days are over.  Because, now, we're going to completely change the show."  Freddy protests: "Then it wouldn't be a circus, would it?"  Alex: "Circus is not about the acts you do."  He pokes Freddy in the chest with a finger: "Circus is in here.  Circus is about following your passions, wherever they take you."  Vitaly snorts: "Bah.  You cannot change circus.  There is long tradition."  Alex: "That's what everybody thought, Vitaly."  Using the example of a very popular modern circus, Alex shows that re-thinking long-held traditions can be a good thing.  Alex's enthusiasm inspires the others and they excitedly agree to take their circus in a new direction.

In an attempt to impress his girlfriend, Gloria, Melman climbs up onto the tightrope.  Looking down, he is suddenly overcome with terror.  Hearing Melman's screams, Gloria rushes to join him, speaking soothingly to allay his fears.  She slowly walks toward him along the tightrope, encouraging him to move towards her.  Paralyzed by fear, Melman feels helpless to make a move toward Gloria.  Putting his arms on her shoulders, Gloria encourages Melman to think of his steps as dancing.  With Gloria's support, Melman soon finds himself dancing along the tightrope.  He gives a joyful shout, realizing that Gloria has helped him do something he never thought himself capable of.

Just before the debut of their new circus, Alex learns that Vitaly is quitting the show.  He goes to Vitaly's dressing room to confront him, finding the tiger is packing his trunk and preparing to leave.  Insisting that the show will succeed without him, Vitaly ignores Alex's pleas to reconsider.  Alex: "Listen, man.  You may have given up on yourself, but your friends haven't given up on you.  Are you just going to turn your back on them...?"  Vitaly, apparently mulling over Alex's words, still struggles to believe that he is capable of performing his act.  Alex reminds him of the passion he once had for his performance.  Suddenly, Vitaly's eyes light up as he recalls his former glory days.  Suddenly renewed by a sense of purpose, Vitaly agrees to stay with the circus and perform his act.

Gia and the rest of the circus animals have just discovered that Alex and his friends have been lying from the beginning of their relationship.  She stares at her supposed friends in shock and disappointment.  Alex, eyes wide with sorrow and guilt, tries to explain the reason behind their deception, but all Gia and Vitaly can hear is that their trusted friends lied to them.  As a result of the deception, Gia calls into question everything Alex has told her, discovering more of the lies he told to gain her help.  Stefano is crushed.  He sobs on Gia's shoulder, feeling his world crumbling around him: "I don't feel safe!"  Gia, a comforting paw on Stefano's head, looks reproachfully at Alex: "We trusted you."  Shaking her head, she turns to leave.  The rest of the circus performers follow her.  Stefano calls back to Alex: "My tears are real!  You are not."  Alex and his friends are grieved by the pain they have caused.
