ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

## How We Use Cookies

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

Forge reveals his true villainy, admitting to betraying Edgin and taking his daughter for his own.  Forge admits he didn't initially care about being a father, but he came to find he enjoys being idolized: "I have truly come to love her as my own.  I never actually saw the appeal of being a father till I became one.  But to have another person look up to you and allow you to shape them in your own image...it's a bit like a god!"

The heroes are fighting the sorceress Sofina.  Her magic is powerful and it takes the unique gifts of each member of the team to defeat her.  When Sofina conjures a giant hand to crush them, Simon uses his own magic to forge a hand to fight hers.  Holga's brute strength is her asset and she wields her axe against the evil witch.  Doric can shape-shift and uses her slingshot to attack.  And, Edgin comes up with the plan that will eventually defeat her.  When Sofina uses a time-stop to freeze them in place, they pretend that Simon's magic hasn't freed them.  Then, while Sofina gloats, Kira uses her invisibility to put magic handcuffs on her, sapping her power and allowing Doric to defeat her.  (Caution: frightening images)


Xenk leads the group to a ruined city suspended over a river of lava.  Beyond the city is the treasure they seek.  But, to get there, they must cross a perilous bridge following precise steps.  Xenk proceeds to give them the increasingly complicated instructions: "Starting from the center, use odd-numbered blocks only, moving forward with each step, except for every fifth step, which must be a lateral move.  Left or right, it matters not, so long as the leader and the laggard remain equidistant."  Xenk is very obviously losing his audience with his convoluted speech.  But he appears not to notice: "After which, proceed.  Again, odd-numbered blocks only.  However, at the mid-point we switch to even-numbered blocks.  Same pattern, except now a lateral move after the fourth step, until we reach the three - -"  His words are cut off by a loud explosion.  The entire bridge falls into the lava, removing their only way across.  Everyone stares at Simon.  He lifts his foot off the first stone of the bridge, embarrassed: "I...may have...put my foot on the bridge.  Didn't realize that's where it technically started.  So...sorry."


When the group finds out that Simon can't use the magic helmet, it threatens to break them apart.  Doric and Simon want to leave and even Holga is discouraged.  Simon, to Edgin: "Aren't you sick of failing?"  Edgin: "No!  That's the whole point!  We must never stop failing because, the minute we do, we've failed."  Edgin points out that all of them have made mistakes in life but that they need to keep going to redeem them.  Edgin: "I'm the champion of failures!  I've lost everything that ever mattered to me and it was all my fault!"  He confesses that his wife's death was the result of his theft from a Red Wizard.  Edgin: "I failed the Harpers, I failed my family, I failed all of you...which is exactly why I can't quit!"  One-by-one, the others realize he's right.


Justice Smith

When the second plan to enter the vault fails, Edgin announces they are moving to Plan C.  Simon: "What's Plan C?"  Edgin: "Plan C is we go back to Plan A."  Holga: "Why don't you just call it Plan A?"  Edgin: "Plan A has a stink on it."  Simon is frustrated because Plan A requires him to successfully use his magic, which almost never works.  Edgin reminds his friend of all the times Simon was able to extricate himself from a difficult situation with his powers.  He may not be consistent, but when the rubber meets the road, he delivers.  Edgin: "You are at your strongest when you think you're at your weakest.  You're gonna get into that vault.  Not because you can...but because you must."  (Caution: d-word)

Sofina has ordered Holga and Edgin to be executed.  As the soldiers lead them to an alley, the two discuss their fate.  Edgin: "You got this, right?"  Holga: "I know you don't."  The executioner forces them to kneel, pulling out a large axe.  Holga stalls for time while she surreptitiously digs a brick out of the cobbled street: "Handsome blade.  Is that the work of Ghelryn Foehammer?"  The executioner looks surprised: "How'd you know?"  Holga, continuing to dig: "The inlay on the haft."  The executioner looks down at the axe, suspecting nothing.  Holga asks several more questions about the weapon, which the executioner takes the time to answer before losing his patience.  He swings the axe in the air but Holga stops him: "Wait!  What do you clean it with?"  Executioner: "You're about to lose your head!  This is what you're concerned with?"  Holga: "If you wouldn't mind."  Executioner: "Boiled linseed oil.  Once a month."  Holga: "Should be once a week.  That's why you're getting rust on the bit."  As the man looks down to confirm her observation, Holga strikes.  She uses the freed brick to attack the soldiers, disabling them all singlehandedly.  Edgin spends the entire fight trying to free himself.


Edgin has come to get his daughter back from Forge, but he learns that Forge has filled her head with lies.  Edgin tries to convince Kira that he is being honest about his motives, but at the same time, Forge is telling a different story.  Kira is uncertain who to believe until Forge pulls out a Wanted poster with Edgin's face on it: "You can't blame the girl for distrusting you."  Now Edgin is exposed in a lie, although he was telling the truth about the rest.  Edgin, pleading with Kira: "You have to trust me."  But the one lie breaks Kira's trust completely: "You told me to trust you when you left me."  (Caution: d-word)


John Francis Daley

Forge and Sofina are meeting secretly with several wealthy merchants when Sofina senses an intruder: "A wild shape is among us!"  The witch points at the ceiling, where a fly quickly buzzes away.  The fly changes to a rat, which scurries across the floor, the soldiers in pursuit.  The rat becomes Doric, who must continually change shapes to elude the furious sorceress.  Sofina pursues her all the way to the castle gates, where Doric, as a doe, squeezes beneath the portcullis just in time to flee into the woods.


Edgin wants Doric to join their quest, but he finds he has to convince her.  So, he describes the strengths each of them bring to the whole.  "Simon - - he's a mighty sorcerer!  He's a descendent of Elminster Aumar!"  Doric doesn't question Simon's gift, but thinks he doesn't have the confidence to use it.  Edgin continues: "Simon may not have my wit, or Holga's strength, but when it counts, this young man delivers.  It's why I chose him."  Doric: "What exactly do you bring to this?"  Edgin: "Me?  I'm a planner.  I make plans."  Doric: "You've already made the plan, so what value do you have now?"  Edgin: "If the plan fails, I make a new plan."  Doric: "So you make plans that fail."  Edgin: "No!"  Holga: "He also plays the lute."  Edgin: "Trust me, I'm indispensable."


Hugh Grant

Edgin and his team are trapped inside a deadly maze filled with perils.  They manage to elude mutant panthers and venomous goo only to reach the middle of the maze and find a cage.  Edgin is about to lead the group into the cage, where the other contestants wait, when he pauses: "No, this isn't the way out."  He realizes the challenges will only ever lead to death unless they are able to find a different way.  When the gong strikes, Doric has an idea.  She leads the others back to the goo.  The skeleton of an opponent is suspended inside.  Doric: "When we hear the gong, we jump in."  No one likes her plan, but they have no other choice.  She promises to pull them all out before they disintegrate.  The gong sounds and they all jump inside.  Doric makes sure she has a finger sticking out the other end.  The block of goo descends to underneath the arena, along with the rest of that segment of the maze.  Once below, Doric transforms into a snake and slithers out of the goo.  She quickly frees her friends and they are all safe and outside the maze.  (Caution: d-word)
