ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

When Rob Walker began managing the Neptunes, he would do whatever he could to market their music to anyone in the industry.  He would even sleep in lobbies, trying to meet anybody that was somebody.  Pharrell himself was determined to get noticed.  We see Rob, Pharrell and Chad going into office after office.  Pharrell, so eager to showcase his talent, would put off those he was trying to impress.  Rob, embarrassed by Pharrell's display, drags him out of studios again and again.  But the repeated rejection doesn't appear to diminish Pharrell's intensity at all.  Finally, Pharrell, impatient when a producer isn't listening to his performance, gets up on his desk to force the man to listen.  Pharrell: "He has to see how hard I'm willing to go."  Angry exec after angry exec boots Pharrell from their offices, but Pharrell won't give up.  Even when the doors are slammed in his face.


Young Pharrell often feels out of place among his peers, who mock and laugh at him, leaving his creative spirit crushed. One day, his grandmother takes him to church, where the pastor sings a heartfelt song that seems directed at Pharrell. The song reassures the young boy, telling him he will be all right because God has a plan for him, reminding him that everyone is blessed with a unique gift to pursue. The pastor goes on to share a story about Pharrell's grandmother, who once had a dream of him being lifted up to the stars. She tells Pharrell that God has given him a special gift, but also reminds him of the profound responsibility that comes with it, saying, "To whom much is given, much is required." Pharrell is remembering a time when he felt lost.  His career was spiraling downward and he had made decisions he regretted.  He felt like he was floating alone in space.  He remembers the words of Carl Sagan as he looks out at Earth.  Sagan: "The Earth, it's a pale blue dot."  Sagan asserts that every person, from family and friends to the powerful and famous, has lived out their days on Earth, this tiny speck in the universe.  Sagan: "The delusion that we have some privileged position in the universe is challenged by this point of pale light.  And there is no hint that there's anyone who will come and save us from ourself.  That will happen only if we do it."


Pharrell and his band were thrilled to be signed by Teddy Riley, a renowned music producer, and were awestruck upon entering his studio, where gold records lined the walls and famous faces were everywhere—this was the life they had always dreamed of. However, their eagerness and inexperience led to some missteps. Pharrell candidly admitted, "My studio etiquette was so wrong," as he often interrupted Teddy with unsolicited pointers on the music. Eventually, the engineer bluntly reminded him that Teddy was the boss and he should remain quiet, emphasizing, "You're lucky to be in the room." Taking this lesson in humility to heart, Pharrell shifted his approach, focusing on menial tasks and serving others. He started fetching coffee and cleaning the studio, saying, "That's where I learned discipline." Over time, Pharrell learned to seek others' opinions instead of pushing his own, a change that caught Teddy's attention and earned his respect.


Kendrick Lamar

Pharrell shared with an interviewer that his earliest musical memory involved drumming on his grandmother's couch cushions with a whisk and spoon. Recognizing his budding interest in music, his grandmother nurtured his passion by buying him his first instrument, a snare drum, and encouraging him to enroll in music classes at school. Reflecting on her support, Pharrell remarked, "She started me on my path." Inspired by her guidance, Pharrell joined the school band, connected with others who shared his love for music, and ultimately discovered his purpose.


Pharrell looks back on his childhood with happiness.  He loved his neighborhood, which always seemed to be full of life and especially music.  When Pharrell would listen to music, it would transport him to another world.  He saw the melody in colors (a medical condition).  It touched something deep within him.  He would listen over and over and over, seeing the colors and lights flash inside his mind: "Beautiful hues of light cascading."  


After writing his first big hit, Pharrell returned home with a check for $10,000, a sum that felt life-changing to the nineteen-year-old. However, the excitement was short-lived as he managed to spend it all within two weeks. A money counter ticks down from 10K as we watch Pharrell splurge at the mall on clothes, sunglasses, and coats. He treats his friends to dinners and nights out at clubs, each purchase causing the counter to inch closer to zero. The whirlwind spending spree comes to a humiliating halt at a restaurant, where the waiter returns Pharrell's credit card, declined. It was a sobering moment for the young artist, a reminder of how quickly fortune can fade when not handled wisely.


Pharrell starts to tear up when he thinks about the people who have supported him all of his life.  "The people who just never left my side.  My family.  All my friends."  It overwhelms him to think that all of those people were cheering for him to succeed.  We see Pharrell receive an award, but the trophy disappears from his hands.  Pharrell: "Forget the trophy.  The idea that you want me to win...when thinking about that, my heart could keep the lights on the Earth."  We see the Earth, lit up by the warmth of the love Pharrell feels.


Pharrell Williams

Gwen Stefani is remembering her musical collaboration with Pharrell.  In the beginning, they wondered how they could combine the two very different worlds of pop music and hip hop.  To illustrate this, we see a deep chasm.  One side of the chasm is blue and the other is red.  There are people on both sides wanting the same thing.  As Gwen and her pop band play the music that hip hop Pharrell produced, the chasm closes and the people come together into one harmonious crowd.  Gwen: "Even though it seemed like we were from two different planets, it was like two cultures' collision of beautifulness."  The crowd joins together to enjoy Gwen's music.


Morgan Neville

Pharrell is discouraged, feeling that his musical career is going nowhere.  He looks up at the thundering storm clouds, perhaps feeling they are an apt reflection of his life.  He decides to ask his pastor for advice.  In his pastor's kitchen, Pharrell hangs his head, feeling like his dream is an impossibility.  Pastor: "Listen.  If you're standing at the bottom of a mountain, can you see the other side?  No, you can't.  Does that mean there's no other side?"  Pharrell shakes his head.  The pastor tells Pharrell that his dream my look impossible, but with God anything is possible: "What God has for you, no man can stand in the way of."  Pharrell remembers the pastor telling him to trust God.  Pharrell, smiling: "And I did."
