ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Artie Decker, the long-time announcer for the Fresno Grizzlies, tells his young intern how much he loves his job.  Later, Artie is sitting in his boss's office, learning that he's being fired.  Stunned, Artie wants to know the reason why.  His boss tells him that he's changing the entire format: "All the deadwood is floating to the sawmill."  Artie: "I'm deadwood?"  Boss: "You're old school.  Our sponsors are for hearing aids, beds that go up and down, and scooters.  Not the cool kind.  The sad kind.  We need someone who's wired in."  Artie: "To what?"  Boss: "Facebook.  How many friends do you have?"  Artie: "I don't have any friends."  Boss: "Have you made any posts?"  Artie, clueless: "No!"  Boss: "What was your last update?"  Artie: "My what?"  Boss: "Have you poked anybody?"  Artie, offended: "I haven't poked anybody!"  Boss: "The thing is, Artie, even if you were connected, I don't know that I'd want to be poked by you.  How many apps do you have?"  Artie: "I don't have any apps."  Boss: "You don't have any apps?"  Artie: "No."  Boss: "Everyone has apps."  Artie: "I don't have any apps!"  Boss: "Do you play Angry Birds?"  Artie, who by this time feels as if he's speaking a different language: "Angry Birds?"  Boss: "Who's your favorite Angry Bird?"  Artie: "I don't have a favorite Angry Bird!"  Boss: "Hashtag."  Artie: "Huh?"  Boss: "When was the last time you hashtagged?"  Artie: "Are you out of your mind?  What the heck are you talking about?"  Boss: "We need announcers that tweet."  Artie: "I'll tweet!  I'll make whatever noise you want!"  Boss: "I'm sorry, Artie, my mind's made up."

Artie, a minor league sports announcer, has just been fired.  His wife tries to comfort him, suggesting that retirement could give them more time for each other.  Artie's vision of retirement is bleak: "You mean, me wearing a captain's hat, following you around Costco?"  Diane suggests that Artie accept the university teaching position he's been offered.  Artie, however, wants to be a broadcaster, not teach broadcasting.  Artie reminds his wife of his lifelong dream of announcing for the Giants.  Artie: "You give up your dream, you give up.  I'm not quitting.  I feel ten years younger than I am, and I look ten years younger than that.  So basically, you're asking a 38-year-old to retire."  Diane, joking: "You're 38?  Paint the house."  Diane tells Artie that she believes he's the best announcer in the world: "But after all these years, honey, something tells me they don't have you on speed-dial."

Artie and Diane have agreed to babysit their grandchildren while their daughter, Alice, travels with her husband, Phil.  Diane, to Alice: "Now, do you have any special instructions for us?"  Alice, relieved that her mother asked, brings up the subject of her father's language.  Diane: "Oh, he won't curse.  I'll break his freaking arm."  Alice: "That's great, but that's not what I meant.  You see, there's a way that we talk to our kids.  For instance, where you would say, 'No,' we would say, 'Consider the consequences.'  Or, where you would say, 'Don't,' we would say, 'Maybe you should try this.'  Or, where you would say, 'Quit your whining, you're giving me a headache,' we would say, 'Use your words.'  You see, that way the child feels that he has value, he has worth."  Artie and Diane nod politely before changing the subject.  Later, Alice's youngest son, Barker, is scribbling all over his picture when Artie suggests he might want to stay inside the lines.  Alice: "Oh, Dad, we don't really worry about lines."  Alice looks to Barker: "Honey, draw whatever your imagination tells you."  Artie doesn't get it: "But, what's the point of having lines if you're just going to...?"  Diane, remembering Alice's instructions: "Artie."  Artie quickly compliments Barker's artwork.  Then, noticing that Barker left much of his dinner untouched, urges him to finish it and stirs it all together.  Instantly, Alice and her family tense up, as if waiting for an explosion.  Phil, whispering: "He doesn't like his food to touch!"  Barker begins to growl.  Alice, cajolingly, to the growling Barker: "Honey, use your words, Barker."  Barker, ignoring his mother, glares into his grandpa's face: "Farty ruined my food!  Evil Farty!"  Barker runs away from the table in a fit and Artie is left behind to take the blame.

Alice and her husband, Phil, are leaving on a business trip.  Alice's parents are staying at the house to watch the children.  They are all standing in the driveway to see the couple off, but Alice is having a hard time leaving.  Her youngest, Barker, has a death grip on her sweater and is frantically begging her not to leave.  The two other children occasionally add their pleas to Barker's.  While Alice is fighting Barker off, a big part of her dreads leaving him.  Her husband finally succeeds in peeling Barker off of her, and Alice is pushed into the car, proclaiming her love for her children all the way.  When the car is finally able to begin descending the driveway, Alice leans her body out of the window, calling to her children.  Phil physically pulls her back inside the car.  Alice: "Barker's hyperventilating.  Stop the car."  The driver stomps on the brakes and Barker cheers, thinking his mother is coming back to him.  Phil, taking his wife's face in his hands: "Give me your worst, worst case scenario."  Alice: "Everybody dies."  Phil, sighing: "Then anything short of that will be a happy surprise."

Artie has inadvertently hurt his grandson, Turner, with his words.  Barker is standing in front of Turner's bedroom with orders to keep everyone out.  Artie tries to get Turner to let him in: "I didn't mean to upset him."  Barker: "You should have used your exit shoes."  Artie: "My what?"  Barker: "Exit shoes...to walk away and not use a red voice."  Artie, confused: "And a red voice is...?"  Barker: "Super-mad sounding.  You shouldn't use it.  Never."  Artie: "Uh-huh."  Barker: "That's why you have a cool toolbox.  It's where you keep your cool blue voice, your exit shoes, and your repair squares."  Artie: "Where'd you learn all this?"  Barker: "Preschool."

Diane is proudly watching her granddaughter, Harper, perform at her violin lesson.  Harper makes a small mistake during an otherwise good performance and looks fearfully at her teacher.  The teacher turns away, disgusted.  The lesson finished, Harper begins to gather her things.  Diane gushes, telling Harper what a great job she did.  Harper, near tears: "I stunk!"  Diane: "You most certainly did not!"  Diane appeals to the instructor: "Wasn't she wonderful?"  Instructor, bluntly: "No.  This will not be good enough for your audition!  You must practice more!"  The instructor tells Diane: "When my daughter underperforms, I shun her.  This girl should be shunned!"  Shaking her hands at Harper, she orders: "Practice, practice, practice!"  Harper, her chin quivering, continues putting away her violin.  Diane: "Gee whiz.  Wasn't she the villain in the last James Bond movie?"

Artie is watching his grandson's Little League game.  Turner is pitching against the school bully, and Artie hopes to see Turner strike him out.  Thrilled when Turner earns three strikes, Artie stands and cheers, expecting the bully to be out.  The boy continues at bat, however, and Artie begins to yell from the stands.  Calling time, the umpire goes to the stands to explain to Artie that there are no outs in the game.  Artie: "How is that possible?"  Umpire, sheepishly: "They hit until they get on base."  Alice tries to drag Artie back to his seat, but Artie, a baseball announcer, can't fathom a game without consequences.  He continues to argue his point with the umpire, who obviously agrees, but can't say so.  Another parent joins Artie's side: "He's right.  I hate these games!  What's the point?"  A different parent disagrees: "The point is for the kids to enjoy the game without competition."  Artie: "Yeah, but competition is the game.  You know, it's like life.  How do you even know who's winning?"  Umpire, embarrassed: "In this league, we don't keep score.  Every game ends in a tie."  Artie's jaw drops: "Oh, no.  No agony of defeat?  Just the thrill of a tie?"  A mother pipes up: "It's good they don't keep score!"  Another mother responds to her: "Yeah, 'cause your kid stinks!"  Other parents add their two cents until, finally, Alice stands: "They're children, and they're having fun!  And there's plenty of time in their lives to keep score!"

Phil, out of town on business, calls Alice to tell her that he won a prestigious award.  Anxious to have her join him, he asks when she will be able to catch her flight.  Alice, who had planned on having her parents watch the children, has decided she doesn't trust them enough to leave.  She tells Phil she won't be coming.  Phil is disappointed, but tells his wife that he understands.  After Alice ends the conversation, which has taken place in front of her parents and children, Diane confronts Alice.  Alice, a type-A, controlling parent, has never really given Diane and Artie a chance to be grandparents.  Diane: "Now, look...you asked us to come here and take care of our grandchildren and you haven't given us the chance to do it!  You have been on our backs, especially your dad's, ever since we got here!"  Alice, defensively: "Okay.  Take his side, because you always do anyway."  Diane: "And for a good reason.  Because after your kids grow up, your husband is the one who stays.  Alice, I know you're trying to be a perfect parent, but, honey, there's no such thing.  And, frankly, you need to show Phil he's not just their father...he's also your husband.  Your husband's dream is coming true, and part of that dream is you being there with him!  How can you not go?"

Artie and Diane are attending a Tchaikovsky concert with their three grandchildren.  Just as the music starts, Barker tells Artie he wants to leave.  Artie tells Barker, "Don't."  Barker, who knows and takes full advantage of his mother's philosophy of child-rearing, corrects Artie for using the word "don't."  Artie, switching to the pre-arranged and less "negative" vocabulary: "Consider the consequences."  Barker refuses and jumps out of his seat, running down the aisle.  Ignoring Artie's commands to return, Barker runs up and down the aisles, disrupting the other concert attendees, and earning many scathing glances for Artie.  Even the conductor and the performers on the stage are distracted by Barker's antics.  Artie chases Barker, finally intercepting him just as he's about to run onstage.  Artie puts Barker over his knee and lifts a hand to spank the boy on the bottom.  The audience gives a collective gasp and the performance stops immediately.  Artie, addressing the audience: "I'm sorry, I can't take this anymore!  This whole 'teachable moments' and 'protecting their self-esteem' and 'nobody gets punished'!  All I hear is 'Use your words.  Use your words'.  But the word they never use with these kids is 'No'!"  The audience applauds, agreeing with Artie's assessment of modern permissive parenting.
