ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement!

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

As Australia scores again and again, even the commentator can't keep from expressing his pity aloud: "Goodness me.  Humiliation.  Boys against men."   At 14-0, the commentator confesses it's getting hard to keep count.  "Goal.  Goal.  Goal.  Embarrassing.  Just too easy."  Australia's goals climb into the twenties.  And, finally, the last goal of the game earns them an unheard-of 31 points.  In a sport where the average game goals is under five, a 31-0 loss is devastating.  Commentator: "American Samoa on the wrong end of the biggest World Cup hammering ever.

Ace, a teddy bear with a beard, addresses his team after the dismal first half of the game.  In a soft, kind voice: "That was a terrible first half.  And now, I'm forced to give you a growling.  Are you ready for the growling?"  The players nod.  Ace, mildly: "Okay.  You asked for it.  Get ready."  The players look at him in some dread.  Ace, as if talking to his dog:  "You were bad.  You are bad.  That was bad.  Where's the heart?  Where's the spirit?  You have to play with heart and spirit.  You're bad.  Bad!"  The players look at him, their shoulders sagging and their faces fallen.


It is the final seconds of the soccer match and the opposing team has a penalty kick.  The goalie, Nicky, looks in trepidation at his opponent.  The man glares at him with no fear, ready to kick the ball into the goal.  Ace, retelling the story later: "Everything was on the line.  Oh, the pressure!"  Nicky wrings his hands nervously.  With a deep breath, he lets go of his past failures and his hopes for the present.  He glares back at the opposing player: "I'm Nicky Salapu."  The man kicks the ball, which sails directly towards the corner of the goal.  Nicky dives.  He blocks the ball.  The game is over and America Samoa has won.  Daru, remembering: "For a second, we didn't know what was going on.  We'd never felt like this before.  Until we realized...we won!"  Spectators all over the island go wild.  The worst team in history has just won a game.  (Caution: d-word)


Thomas sits down with Tavita to discuss his plans to whip the soccer team into shape.  With only three weeks until the qualifiers, Thomas feels pressured for time.  But, when he tells Tavita about the practice he's scheduling for Sunday, Tavita politely, but firmly, refuses.  Tavita: "We won't be training tomorrow."  Thomas: "Why not?"  Tavita: "It's Sunday."  Thomas: "So?"  Tavita: "The team won't train on a Sunday.  That would be a sin."  Thomas swears.  Tavita: "You are very welcome to join us on Sunday.  It could be a nice experience!  You can see how we worship God."  Thomas, frustrated: "This is church!  Football is church!  You've got zero commitment!"  Tavita: "We're very committed to church."  Thomas explodes, telling Tavita exactly how he feels about the Samoan team.  Tavita, remaining calm in the face of Thomas's fury: "We will not change who we are just to win.  These are our customs.  These are our ways."  Thomas: "You're failing!  It's torture coaching this team."  Tavita graciously tells Thomas he can seek his happiness elsewhere if he so desires.  Tavita: "Unhappiness is a curse that I would not wish on anyone."  Thomas quits.  (Caution: s-word, Lord's name used in vain)


America Samoa is playing in the World Cup qualifiers.  Down by one in the second quarter, they know they have their work cut out for them.  They pass the ball back and forth to each other.  Finally, when Rambo gets the ball, everything goes into slow motion.  Rambo eyes the field, passing the ball to Jonah.  Jonah takes the ball and is about to kick it into the goal when the goalie tackles him.  The ball bounces off his foot and rolls slowly towards the goal.  Everyone holds their breath.  Finally, the ball comes to a halt just across the goal line.  The whole island cheers.  America Samoa has scored their first goal ever.

Thomas is trying to run his new soccer team through some drills.  The team has never had a qualified coach and they have never even scored a goal, so Thomas has his work cut out for him.  They have to be re-taught even the basics.  Their footwork is slow and sloppy, they can't get a ball in the goal, and their attention wanders.  Thomas regularly wants to quit.  The trust exercise is the final straw.  He instructs them to stand in two opposite lines and throw the balls to each other.  Then, he passes down the middle with his eyes closed.  In a perfect world, he would be able to trust that they never hit him.  But these players can't even throw a ball.  After the second ball hits him in the head, he ends the exercise: "That's it!  Don't touch me!  Trust is broken!" (Caution: mild profanity)


Thomas is meeting with the board of the American Soccer Federation to discuss the past season.  As Thomas talks about his plans for the new year, Alex interrupts:  "Thomas, did nobody tell you?  You're fired."  Alex, knowing Thomas would be shocked by the news, has prepared a slide show to walk him through the five stages of grief.  Rhys puts the first stage on the overhead projector: "Denial."  Thomas: "This is not happening."  Alex, brightly: "That's classic denial."  The board tells him he has two options.  They put up the next slide to show option one: "No job."  The second slide, option two, is a picture of the Pacific Ocean.  Thomas can choose to coach the worst team in the league, located in American Samoa.  Thomas is infuriated: "I deserve some respect!"  Rhys puts up the next slide: "Stage two.  Anger."  The board encourages Thomas to use this opportunity to grow.  But Thomas begins to beg them to reconsider: "I can change.  I'm flexible."  The next slide goes up: "Stage three.  Bargaining."  Alex: "Really, really good, Thomas.  You are smoking through these."  Thomas puts his head in his hands.  Rhys puts up the next slide: "Depression."  And, finally, Alex thinks they're ready for the final slide: "Acceptance."  In the next instant, Thomas is in a plane, flying over the Pacific Ocean, on his way to American Samoa.  (Caution: a-word)


Tavita, the president of the Football Federation-American Samoa, is showing his new coach around his new digs.  Thomas, whose low expectations of the island and the job have only been made lower by the bus ride to his new house, finds that the house is even worse.  But Tavita is proud of the accommodations he found Thomas.  He points to a sedan parked in the yard, seemingly being swallowed by the native grass: "That's your car so you can move around the island at will."  Thomas, eyeing the cat atop the car, merely grunts.  Tavita leads Thomas into the decrepit house: "Your castle awaits."  Thomas looks at the dated decor and tinsel-fringed photos of Dolly Parton and Jesus on the wall.  He tries to inspect the bathroom only to discover that it was so poorly designed that the toilet blocks the door from opening more than a foot.  Tavita tells Thomas the landlord lives just next door and is available "seven, twenty-four."  Thomas: "Seven, twenty-four?"  Tavita: "Seven days out of every twenty-four."  Thomas tries to look out the window only to have the drapes fall off and clatter to the floor.  As Tavita leaves, he tells Thomas just how low his expectations regarding the job should be.  All he wants is for the team to score one goal.


Thomas has just gotten the team to agree to climb a nearby hill.  He is excited to see them pushing themselves: "Let's go!  Now we're making some progress!"  But, before they can even leave the field, a clanging noise sounds and everyone stops.  The entire team sits down on the ground and closes their eyes.  Thomas, confused: "What's going on?  Don't sit down!  We're not there yet!  We haven't even started!"  When Ace shushes him, Thomas asks him what's going on.  Ace: "The bell means curfew.  It's time to pray.  The whole island stops.  Same time, every day."  Thomas is stunned: "What am I supposed to do?  I'm not religious."  Ace: "Pretend?"  Thomas turns away, disgusted.  Ace: "Okay.  I'll pray for you."  Thomas, under his breath: "When did that ever work?"


Thomas, frustrated that his team is again losing, is ready to quit.  Tavita chases after him, hoping to change his mind: "I want you to be happy."  Thomas: "I'm not happy.  I'm not a happy person.  And, I hate to break it to you, but you're not gonna get your one goal."  Tavita: "That's all right.  I'm kind of used to that by now."  Not even the news that the soccer federation is shutting down their program is enough to dampen Tavita's spirits: "Oh, well.  On the bright side, I got to go on a tropical island getaway, take in the sights with my friend, Thomas."  Thomas: "What is it with you?  Why are you always so positive?  It's sickening."  Tavita tries again to talk Thomas into staying, but he cautions him that he has to be all in.  It's obvious that Thomas's heart has never been fully in American Samoa.  Tavita: "I think you could be happy here, now.  But, you actually have to be here, now."  Thomas shakes his head: "I can't win."  Tavita: "Then, lose.  But don't lose alone.  Lose with us.  And, there's always the second half.  That's another chance."
