ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement!

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

Commander Tung looks at his men: "We leave at first light."  The young faces try to look brave, but behind the eyes fear lurks.  Later that night, Mulan and her small group of friends are sitting around the fire, trying not to think about what tomorrow might bring.  Some try to joke about their impending doom, but Cricket cannot laugh.  For him, the fear is too real.  Mulan looks around the circle, knowing they all feel the same way.  Young soldier, soberly: "Who knows who will live past tomorrow.  We may never see each other again."  Mulan, calmly: "My father once said, 'There is no courage without fear.'  This is natural."  Po, angrily: "It doesn't feel natural!"  Mulan looks around the circle: "Listen to me, all of you.  We will live.  I guarantee it.  Because I will protect you.  We will protect each other.  We will fight for each other."  The soldiers look at one another and the fear on their faces begins to dissipate as they realize they will not be alone in battle.  Mulan's words have given them hope.  Soon, they are laughing again and only Honghui sees that Mulan's hands are shaking with fear.


The soldiers are practicing drills with their spears and Mulan and Honghui are sparring together.  Honghui succeeds in disarming Mulan not once, but twice, and Mulan is now determined that he will not get the better of her a third time.  Setting her chin, she breaks out of the practice routine and begins doing an intricate and expert set of moves.  The other soldiers around her stop their practice to stare in awe.  This time, it is Mulan who takes the upper hand and she drives Honghui back not once, but twice.  The entire camp now watching, Honghui and Mulan spar until Honghui is once more able to disarm Mulan.  But she refuses to give up the fight.  Instead, she leaps into the air with a backward kick, sending a nearby soldier's spear flying at Honghui.  The crowd gasps at the amazing move, realizing that Mulan is no ordinary soldier.

Young Mulan has been given the task of herding the chickens into the pen.  As she chases the last straggler with a stick, her father admonishes her to go gently.  Mulan continues to run after the fowl and the harried bird runs right past the pen.  Zhou, calling after his daughter: "Mulan!  Forget the chicken!  It will come back!"  But Mulan ignores him and chases the bird into the sanctuary, knocking over a bowl of fruit and disturbing an elderly woman in prayer.  Following the chicken, the heedless Mulan uses a statue as a stepstool and breaks it.  Zhou, watching in horror: "No!"  Now the whole village is beginning to take notice as Mulan's chase causes more and more of a disturbance.  Hearing the commotion, Mulan's mother comes outside, calling to her: "Take control of yourself!"  But Mulan only laughs, chasing the chicken onto the roof of the walled village.  Citizens gasp and point as the girl runs along the rooftop after the chicken.  But she cannot catch it and, just as her father had said, it returns to the pen on its own.  Before Mulan can climb down, several tiles come loose under her feet and she falls off the roof.  Skillfully, she performs a feat of acrobatics and comes to a stop with a flourish.  Proud of herself, she stands in front of her father, who cannot restrain a smile at her ability.  The villagers, however, feel differently about the wayward girl and scowl at her, shaking their heads at her disobedience.


Xianniang the witch has taken on the form of a flock of birds and is attacking the Imperial Army with a fierceness they cannot withstand.  To protect themselves, the soldiers create barricades with their shields and huddle together in groups around the battlefield.  Mulan watches as the enemy army begins to set up a large catapult, aimed directly at the groups of soldiers.  She watches in horror as a large, flaming boulder is tossed at one group and completely destroys it.  Knowing they will all be killed if she does not do something to stop the attack, Mulan grabs a few helmets and leaps onto her horse, galloping toward the enemy.  She positions herself behind some rock formations, lining the helmets along the top to make it appear she is not alone.  Then, she begins to fire on the enemy soldiers.  Thinking that the Imperial Army must have another company on the mountain, the enemy soldiers turn the catapult around and fire a flaming boulder at Mulan.  Just as she planned, it strikes the mountain behind her, causing an enormous avalanche to fall on the enemy army.


Mulan has always been gifted in strength, agility, and courage.  But, because these are not qualities desired in a woman in her culture, her father has decided it is time for her to conform to her place in society: "Your chi is strong, Mulan.  But chi is for warriors, not daughters.  Soon, you'll be a young woman and it is time for you to...hide your gift away.  To silence its voice.  I say this to protect you.  That is my job.  Your job is to bring honor to the family.  Do you think you can do that?"  Young Mulan looks at her father, tears glistening in her eyes.


The Rouran warriors are retreating and Mulan's company is ordered to charge after them.  The find quickly, however, that the retreat is nothing more than a trick to separate them from the rest of the army.  The expert Rouran soldiers, in a series of gymnastic moves, turn backwards on their galloping horses and begin to fire on the pursuing soldiers.  One-by-one, soldiers around Mulan fall.  But she is never struck.  Finally, Mulan no longer hears hoofbeats around her and turns to look back.  The few remaining men of her company are fleeing back to the army.  Mulan looks ahead at the cheering Rouran warriors and spurs her horse to follow them, determined to obey her orders, even if she must do it alone.


It is time for Mulan to visit the matchmaker and be matched with a spouse.  In order to do so, Mulan must complete the tea ceremony to the matchmaker's satisfaction, behaving like a perfect Chinese lady.  Matchmaker, while Mulan pours tea: "Quiet.  Composed.  Graceful.  Elegant.  Poised.  Polite.  These are the qualities we see in a good wife.  These are the qualities we see in Mulan.  When a wife serves her husband, she must be silent.  She must be invisible...."  As the matchmaker is talking, Mulan and her sister are distracted by a very large spider that is crossing the table in front of them.  Mulan, knowing that Xiu is terrified of spiders, places the teapot on top of it.  However, the disapproving and rigid matchmaker orders her to place it back in the center of the table, where it belongs.  Reluctantly, Mulan complies.  The spider scurries out of its prison and leaps into the air.  Xiu screams and the matchmaker is thrown backward in her chair, knocking the tea set into the air.  In a most unladylike move, Mulan pulls her hair pin out and catches every cup, saucer and pot before they can hit the ground.  However, when her loose hair falls in front of her eyes, everything crashes to the floor, shattering.  In moments, Mulan, with her mother and sister, are ushered out of the matchmaker's house by the furious woman.  They file out, in complete disgrace, before the watching eyes of the entire village.  Matchmaker, coming out onto the terrace to make her pronouncement: "Dishonor to the Hua family!  They have failed to raise a good daughter!"  The crowd gasps and stares at the humiliated family as they are forced to return to their home under the disapproving gaze of everyone they know.


The new recruits of the Chinese Imperial Army are lined up in front of their commanding officer.  He lists the rules and the consequences of breaking them, most of which are death.  Commander: "We’re going to make men out of every single one of you."  Next, Commander Tung gives a demonstration of his incredible ability with a sword.  The soldiers watch, wondering if they will ever be able to attain his skill.  And so, they begin to practice.  Their first attempts are less than elegant, and several end up accidently striking each other.  Next, they practice archery, firing their arrows at a row of straw dummies.  Not one arrow comes close to hitting its target.  The commander frowns.  Next, he instructs them to climb a nearby mountain, carrying full buckets of water with outstretched arms: "It will take everything you have."  The young soldiers climb, but none make it to the top.  They collapse, exhausted, and some in tears.  Later, they again practice with arrows.  One soldier is able to hit the targets.  They train until they are able to perform synchronized complex routines and until every single soldier is able to hit the target.

Mulan and her soldier friends are sitting at the dinner table when one young man begins to excitedly tell his friends about his betrothed back home: "Her skin is white as milk.  Her fingers like the tender, white roots of a green onion."  Cricket smiles: "Ling is a romantic!"  Yao is less so: "I like my women buxom, with strong, wide hips!"  Cricket: "I like kissing women with cherry red lips."  Po: "I don't care what she looks like!"  Mulan, feeling that here is finally a soldier who doesn't just look for the superficial: "I agree!"  But she stops when Po continues, laughing: "I care what she cooks like!"  The other soldiers laugh.  Honghui, seeing that Mulan is thoughtful: "What's your ideal woman?"  (Mulan's friends believe her to be a man, like them.)  Mulan: "My ideal woman is courageous.  And she has a sense of humor.  She is also smart."  The others laugh loudly at Mulan's list.  Cricket: "What does she look like?"  Mulan: "That's not the point!"  Yao, still laughing: "Courageous!  Funny!  Smart!  Hua Jun's not describing a woman!  He's describing me!"


The city guards are at their posts, standing at the top of the wall and looking out over the desert.  They see a group of warriors on horseback galloping towards them and sound the alarm to prepare for attack.  The gates to the city are quickly closed and an arrow is fired on the leader of the pack.  Khan and his band, however, are no mere marauders, and they possess a supernatural strength.  Kahn catches the arrow in his hand before it can strike him and fires it back into the heart of the city.  The guards prepare themselves to fight.  They are unaware, however, that an enemy is already hidden inside their walls.  And, at the signal of the arrow, she begins to attack and take out the guards.  Meanwhile, outside the city, Khan's men run straight up and over the walls, easily overcoming the remaining guards.  Within moments, the entire city is under Khan's control.


Mulan and her fellow soldiers are training to defend the empire against the invaders.  Their commanding officer speaks to them of the hard task they have ahead: "The Rouran enemy is vast.  They are ruthless and unpredictable.  Yet…physical force need not be met with equal force.  The warrior yields to force and redirects it.  Disadvantage can be turned into an advantage.  Four ounces can move 1,000 pounds."  And so, Mulan, the only woman in an army of men, trains, knowing she is physically at a disadvantage.  She practices day and night until the day has come to once again climb the mountain.  (One of the tests of the soldiers' ability is to climb to the top of the mountain, arms outstretched, carrying two large buckets full of water.  No one in Mulan's battalion has ever made it to the top.)  Determinedly, Mulan marches up the mountain, passing by the other soldiers who have collapsed from exhaustion.  And, at last, Mulan reaches the summit.  She looks out over the beautiful vista, proud that was able to conquer the mountain.
