ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. __"What are the restrictions for streaming a movie scene in my service?"__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

After experiencing an unspeakable tragedy, Edee retreats to an isolated cabin in the Wyoming wilderness. She tells Miguel, a wilderness man who befriends her, that her actions are her business, and if she ends up starving, that’s on her.   Miguel: “I feel that I have to say this. Only a person who has never been hungry would think starving is a way to die. There are better ways to die.”

Edee walks through the snow to the outhouse.  Just after she closes the door, she hears a low growl.  She peeks out through the slats of the rickety structure and is surprised when a huge paw swipes at her angrily, only missing her face because of the flimsy wooden barrier.  She watches in terror as the bear ambles toward her cabin and enters through the open door.  The sounds of crashing and breaking can be heard and Edee waits inside the outhouse until she is certain that the bear has left.  Once it is safe again, Edee walks into her cabin and looks around in horror.  The bear has not only destroyed most of her possessions, it has eaten almost all of her supply of food.  Edie is now left alone in the wilderness with no cell phone, no car, and no food.  She puts her face in her hands despairingly, whispering: "Oh, my God."


After nearing starving and freezing to death alone in her cabin, Edee has been rescued by a complete stranger who happened to be passing by.  Miguel is making a pot of broth when he sees that Edee has wakened.  With the starving woman too weak to stand on her own, Miguel gently helps Edee to her seat.  And when her hands are too shaky to spoon the broth, Miguel picks up the spoon and feeds her himself: "Here, let me help you."  The next day, Edee has recovered enough to get out of bed on her own.  She walks up to Miguel, who is making another pot of broth.  He smiles at Edee, who asks him: "How did you find me?"  Miguel: "I was on a hunt and I noticed on my way back here there was chimney smoke.  And then, on my way back, there was no smoke."  Edee: "Why are you helping me?"  Miguel, kindly: "You were in my path."  Edee looks thoughtful.

After being injured and almost dying, Edee is helped by a local nurse who asks why an unexperienced woman now wants to live in the wilderness by herself—and if she’s running from something. Edee: “I understand your curiosity. I’m not running from anyone. I’m not hiding. I’m not a criminal. I’m here because I choose to be.”

Now that Edee is starting to survive in the wilderness, Miguel asks what she wants her life to be like, moving forward. “I want to notice everything around me more. Edee is remembering back to soon after the funeral of her murdered husband and son.  In her still-fresh bereavement, Edee looked at her sister and asked: "Why am I here anymore?"  Emma, thinking a change of scenery would be a good thing for Edee: "Maybe you shouldn't be here.  I've been thinking we should get out of here."  Edee, knowing Emma has misunderstood her meaning: "No.  Not, 'Why am I here.'  She pauses, her voice breaking: "Why am I HERE anymore?"  Emma, understanding that Edee is despairing of life itself, gets up and takes Edee by the arm: "I'm not gonna let you do this!"  Edee begins to weep: "Get your hands off of me, Emma!"  Emma just holds her tighter.  Edee is now crouched on the floor, sobbing, with Emma's arms wrapped around her.  Edee, believing herself alone in her pain: "You don't know this!"  Emma continues to hold her.  Once Edee calms down, Emma looks at her pleadingly: "Don't hurt yourself.  For me."


Edee sits down next to Miguel's bed.  The dying man looks at his friend and wheezes: "Cancer.  Throat.  They didn't catch it in time."  Edee is stunned, not having known that Miguel was even ill.  Miguel: "I'm glad you made it…so I could thank you."  Edee, whose life was saved by Miguel when he was just a stranger, looks at him in surprise: "Me?"  Miguel: "You gave me all I wanted.  You offered me a way to die in a state of grace."  Edee shakes her head, starting to cry: "Miguel, the truth is, you made me want to live again.  I would've died long ago if you hadn't brought me back to life.  And I wished you hadn't, for quite awhile.  And then...you made it tolerable."  Edee takes Miguel's hand, saying goodbye to the dying man who gave her a new life.

Edee is visiting a counselor for the first time following the murder of her husband and young son.  Counselor: "How are you feeling right now, in general?  What are you feeling?"  Edee, who is visibly operating under severe emotional strain: "I'm feeling that it's really difficult to be around people...because they just want me to be better."  Counselor: "So, you're not able to share what you're feeling with other people?"  Edee, unshed tears in her eyes: "I did, and then I just realized, 'Why would I want to share it?  Why would I want anyone to share in that?  They can't, anyway.'"  Counselor: "But, that means you're alone with your pain."  Edee doesn't respond.  Later, she walks down a busy city street.  People are all around her, but Edee is in a world by herself.
