ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Movie Ideas, Movie Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show thousands of movie titles and TV shows from a number of producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 4,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including all the titles that  part of the ScreenVue Vault.

All such service providers are contractually required to keep your data safe, use it only for the purposes agreed, and delete it when it is no longer required. They have agreed not share it, nor use it for their marketing purposes.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Movie Ideas, Movie Views, and Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of content: 
- *Movie Ideas*: Has the "light-bulb icon," where you would use your own movie (Digital, Stream, Blu-ray, or DVD you already have access to) with our cues and details; as this idea is not available as a View or Download.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including movie content? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include movie content, the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming movie content - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream movie content inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include movie content, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

Li agrees to train the middle-aged Victor in Kung Fu, but with Victor juggling the demands of running his pizza restaurant and raising a teenage daughter, traditional training isn’t an option. So, Li gets inventive. Gesturing to the bustling kitchen, he declares, “This shop is Kung Fu.” From that moment on, the restaurant becomes their dojo. Pizza paddles double as punching targets, and agility drills are woven into the rhythm of kitchen work. A punching bag hangs in the alley out back, and jars of sauce and olives become weights for squatting exercises that test Victor’s endurance. Li teaches him to blend martial arts into every task—kneading dough with precision strikes, sliding jars across counters with fluid movements. Day by day, Victor transforms, his body growing stronger, his reflexes sharper. After weeks of relentless, unconventional training, even Li has to admit—Victor’s got the moves.


Victor leads Li into the back room of his restaurant, where faded posters and gleaming trophies line the walls—remnants of a past life as a celebrated prizefighter. “I used to be good,” Victor says with a nostalgic smile. “Best in the city at one point, Li.” Li, wide-eyed, asks what changed. Victor’s gaze softens. “Mia happened. Best thing to ever happen. But it did catch me by surprise.” He explains how he gave up his dreams of boxing to take a steady job making pizzas, all to support the daughter who became his world. As he looks up at a photo of her, pride etched into every line of his face, he adds quietly, “Most people don’t know the moment their life changed forever. I get to see mine every day.”


As Li steps out of school, he’s immediately confronted by Conor, the bully who’s made his life miserable. Conor wastes no time, hurling taunts and cruel reminders of their last encounter—when he’d beaten Li up without mercy. The verbal jabs sting, and Li, pushed past his breaking point, shoves Conor in a burst of anger. It’s exactly what Conor wanted. The courtyard quickly becomes a stage, students circling as the two boys square off. With smug arrogance, Conor vows to fight with his hands stuffed in his pockets, a move meant to humiliate. True to his word, he unleashes a flurry of precise karate strikes, easily overpowering Li while barely moving his arms. The spectacle only ends when teachers rush in to break them apart, leaving Li bruised, humiliated, and furious at himself for falling into Conor’s trap again.  (Caution: a-word)

Li steps into his darkened apartment and immediately senses something is off—the hanging frying pans in the kitchen sway gently, as if recently disturbed. His eyes dart to the open window, and instinct kicks in. Grabbing a pan for defense, he creeps forward, heart pounding. Suddenly, a figure bursts from the shadows with a yell, wielding a pan of his own. In the dim light, the two clash in a flurry of kung fu strikes and counters, metal clanging and feet shuffling across the floor. The fight is fierce and fast, until the stranger forces Li against the wall, slamming him into the light switch. The room floods with light, and Li stares in shock—it’s his kung fu master, Mr. Han. Before Li can speak, the sound of a key turning in the lock signals his mother’s arrival. In a flash, Mr. Han drops into a seat at the kitchen table, panting and grinning. “Surprise,” he says, waving casually as if nothing had happened.


Victor finds Li in the back of the restaurant, furiously working out his frustration on a punching bag, each strike echoing the turmoil inside him. When Victor asks what's wrong, Li confesses he couldn’t sleep—his mind was too haunted by memories of his brother’s death. “There’s an old Chinese tradition,” Li says quietly, “when someone dies, you’re supposed to open all the doors and windows and literally sweep all the death out of your house so that everyone can go on living.” Victor chuckles, trying to lighten the moment: “If only it were that easy, right?” But Li’s pain runs deep. He opens up, recounting how his brother was stabbed to death by a furious opponent after a tournament, and how he froze in fear, unable to move or help. “I let him down,” he says, the guilt heavy in his voice. Victor looks at him, serious now. “You’re gonna have to let yourself off the hook, Li. You deal with it, or it’s gonna deal with you.”  (Caution: s-word)

Victor steps out of his restaurant just in time to see three thugs menacing Li, and without hesitation, he moves to intervene. But before he can act, one of the men circles behind and strikes him, knocking him to the ground. Watching his friend get ambushed, Li refuses to stand by. Drawing on the Kung Fu he’s practiced since childhood, he launches into action, taking on all three grown men with swift, precise movements. Victor, dazed, sits up and watches in awe as Li dismantles the attackers one by one. Bruised and humiliated, the thugs flee, clutching their injuries. Victor, still stunned, chuckles as he says, “And I thought I was gonna rescue you.”


Daniel and Mr. Han join forces to train Li for the upcoming karate tournament.  They know that his fiercest opponent fights with the ferocity of a tiger—and to defeat a tiger, they must set a trap. Both mentors, seasoned in their own martial arts disciplines, push Li relentlessly, refusing to coddle him as they test strategies and refine his technique. Li is thrown to the ground repeatedly, his body aching and bruised, until he finally rises with a groan and mutters, “In Brooklyn, this is considered assault.” As Li trains alone, Daniel and Mr. Han reflect on their shared legacy, honoring their mentor Mr. Miyagi: “Every time I have the chance to pass on a piece of his legacy, it's never the wrong choice.” After observing Li’s progress, they settle on the tiger trap—a modified Dragon Kick that demands a leap, a duck upon landing, and a sweeping leg strike. They rehearse the move using subway turnstiles, drawing skeptical glances from a nearby guard as Li crashes headfirst into the metal bars. Mr. Han offers no comfort, only wisdom: “Life knocks you down, get back up.” Driven by determination, Li practices the move tirelessly until, at last, he executes it flawlessly. The trap is set.


Mr. Han begins each day by waking Li early to prepare him for the grueling training ahead of the karate tournament. The regimen is intense, pushing Li to his limits both mentally and physically, with no room for excuses or surrender. Under Mr. Han’s strict guidance, Li learns the discipline of focus, a skill that permeates every aspect of his life—from his daily routines to his diet. Committed and respectful, Li follows his kung fu master’s instructions without hesitation, embracing every correction as part of his transformation.


The day of Victor’s long-awaited comeback fight arrives, and he steps into the ring against a younger, stronger opponent. Early on, it’s clear the odds aren’t in his favor—he’s absorbing punch after punishing punch, barely staying upright. But Victor refuses to fall. His grit holds firm, and slowly, he begins to find his rhythm. With each well-placed strike, the momentum shifts, and the crowd senses a stunning upset in the making. Just as victory seems within reach, the rival glances toward the crowd, locking eyes with O’Shea, who has a hefty bet riding on Victor’s defeat. With a subtle gesture, O’Shea signals for foul play. The fighter responds instantly, driving an illegal elbow into Victor’s face. As the referee steps in to call the violation, the opponent shoves him aside and unleashes a flurry of sucker punches. Victor crumples to the canvas, unconscious and badly hurt. The bell rings, not in triumph, but in chaos.


At last, the day of the karate tournament arrives, and Li steps onto the mat to face Conor, surrounded by a roaring crowd. Conor dominates the early rounds, swiftly racking up four points while Li struggles to gain footing, absorbing blow after blow. The announcer grimly declares, “This is turning out to be a wipeout,” as Li continues to rise, undeterred. Then, with sheer determination, Li scores his first point and begins to find his rhythm, unsettling Conor, who grows frustrated that his opponent refuses to fold. Li’s momentum builds—three more points bring the score to a tie, and two additional strikes give him the lead for the first time. But Conor retaliates with a powerful kick to the head, leveling the score and nearly ending the match. Li, battered and dazed, fights to his feet just before the referee’s count, fueled by the cheers of his friends, family, and coaches. With the score tied and one point left to decide the champion, Li prepares to execute the trap he and his mentors devised (see clip # CV12279). He leaps into the air, baiting Conor’s attack, then slides beneath the strike and delivers a decisive kick to Conor’s chest—securing the victory and sealing his transformation from underdog to champion.
