ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Movie Ideas, Movie Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show thousands of movie titles and TV shows from a number of producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 4,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including all the titles that  part of the ScreenVue Vault.

All such service providers are contractually required to keep your data safe, use it only for the purposes agreed, and delete it when it is no longer required. They have agreed not share it, nor use it for their marketing purposes.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Movie Ideas, Movie Views, and Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of content: 
- *Movie Ideas*: Has the "light-bulb icon," where you would use your own movie (Digital, Stream, Blu-ray, or DVD you already have access to) with our cues and details; as this idea is not available as a View or Download.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including movie content? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include movie content, the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming movie content - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream movie content inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include movie content, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

Christina has been worried about Helen.  The bereaved daughter has almost completely locked herself away, barely doing anything besides caring for her hawk.  Christina walks into the kitchen, briefly eyeing the piles of dirty dishes but making no comment.  Instead, she starts a pot of tea.  With the understanding of long friendship, Christina seems to know just what Helen needs.  Christina: "How's the packing going?"  Helen: "I haven't got time to pack.  I've got to write the eulogy for dad's memorial service and I've left it too late."  Christina: "Why don't I pack and you write?"  Helen looks backed into a corner, not wanting to face the loss of her home and her father.  Christina sees her hesitation and understands where it comes from.  She approaches her friend to stand in front of her: "It's okay.  It is.  It's okay.  You know, when I was sad, my mom used to comfort me with Julian of Norwich.  She would say, 'All shall be well.  And all shall be well.  And all manner of things shall be well.'"  Christina returns to cleaning and packing.  A tear runs down Helen's cheek.


Denise Gough

Helen is in the doctor's office, answering the intake questions for a patient suffering from depression.  Nurse: "Little interest in doing things?"  Helen: "Quite often, yeah."  Nurse: "Some days?  More than half the days?"  Helen: "More than half the days, yeah."  Nurse: "Poor appetite?"  Helen: "Same."  Nurse: "More than half the days?"  Helen: "Yeah.  Same."  Nurse: "Trouble concentrating?"  Helen: "Yeah.  More than half the days."  Nurse: "Feeling that you're a failure?"  Helen, smiling self-deprecatingly: "That's just a matter of fact."  Helen: "It could just be that these are rational responses to the realities of my life as opposed to pathological ones.  No income, no job, no home, no father."  Nurse: "Are you in a relationship?"  Helen: "No.  I do have Mabel (a hawk).  But they're a non-affectionate species."


Helen has brought Mabel to Stuart to get some training from the more experienced falconer.  Helen worries that she will be unable to successfully teach her hawk: "I feel like I'm failing.  I'll never be able to fly her free."  Stuart, calm and rational: "Shush.  You'll get yourself all worked up and that's not good for Mabel.  If you're calm, she's calm.  She needs to trust you, that's all."  To train Mabel to fly freely and yet also return to Helen, they must give her practice.  With a thin rope attached to Mabel, Stuart and Helen stand a short distance apart.  Stuart holds the bird while Helen holds a piece of meat and calls Mabel to come.  After a few moments, Mabel successfully flies to land on Helen's arm.  The two step further apart and try again.  Mabel again flies from Stuart to Helen.  They repeat the practice again and again until Stuart believes Mabel is ready to hunt.


Claire Foy

Helen and her best friend Christina are talking about her exciting plans for the future when she receives an unexpected phone call from her mother.  Helen listens in shock as her mother tells her of her father's sudden death.  With her mother still talking, Helen puts down the phone, unable to bear any more.  She bends over, leaning against the mantel for support, tears pouring silently out of her eyes.  She can hardly breathe or speak for the pain.


Helen, her mother, and her brother James are at the funeral home to arrange for Helen's father's funeral.  Helen watches, broken, as James leans over the body of their beloved dad and says goodbye.  Memories flash through her mind of one of the last times she saw him.  As usual, he was working hard taking care of the yard on his day off from work.  As Helen and her mother watch him labor from the window of the house, Helen's mother sighs: "When I finished work, I thought Dad would do the same.  But I'm still waiting."  Helen goes outside to talk to her father, who knows that his wife wants him to retire.  Helen: "What do you want to do?"  Dad: "Carry on, of course."  Helen: "You could slow down a bit."  Dad: "What would be the point?"  Helen: "You could have fun with Mum."  Dad: "We don't need me to be retired to have fun."  Now, only a short while later, there is no time left for fun or work.  


Helen is giving a lecture on what she's learned from hunting with a hawk.  A number of animal-rights activists are attending and begin questioning Helen's actions: "How can you justify killing for fun?"  Helen tries to explain to the students that a hawk is a natural predator.  It is designed for hunting and cannot be fed birdseed.  But, the students don't want to hear the truth.  They continue to badger Helen, who tries to keep her calm.  Helen: "To raise a hawk and not let it hunt would be like not letting a child play."  Student: "You claim you're involved in an entirely natural event, but all you're doing is bringing death."  Helen, nerves fraying: "Death's already there.  Death's everywhere, but we're constantly protecting ourselves from it.  We want to keep death hidden, well away, but...hunting with Mabel, it's an honest encounter with death."  Student: "Aren't you sorry for the rabbit at all?"  Helen finally loses her cool: "Of course I'm sorry that the rabbit's got to die.  Mabel's got to die!  I've got to die!  So do you.  We're all going to die!"


Christina has come over to meet Helen's hawk.  When she expresses surprise that the bird is wearing a tight hood covering her eyes, Helen tells her the hood is actually a kindness to the bird.  Helen: "Birds of prey don't think like we do.  If they can't see something then, to them, it doesn't exist.  So, when she's got the hood on, she feels calm and safe."  Christina likes the idea of an instant anxiety-reliever: "I wish I had a hood."  Helen: "Exactly.  It gives her peace."  Christina: "What happens when you take the hood off?"  Helen: "The nerves of her eyes and ears are connected directly to the neurons controlling her muscles."  Christina: "So she literally reacts before she thinks?"  Helen: "Yeah.  Thinking comes later."  Christina: "Sounds exhausting."


Philippa Lowthorpe

Helen has brought her new goshawk home.  With its protective hood still over its eyes, Helen holds it on one arm, its talons firmly tied to her thick leather glove.  Slowly, Helen takes off the hood.  As soon as its eyes are uncovered, the wild bird tries desperately to fly away.  But, with its feet tied down, it cannot.  Again and again the bird frantically flaps its wings.  Helen closes her eyes protectively, averting her head slightly and allowing the bird to express its fear.  Patiently, she holds out her arm, sitting very still, waiting for the bird to calm down.  She begins speaking quietly to it, getting it used to the sound of her voice.  When it stops flapping every few seconds, she slowly stands and walks it around the house, introducing it to its new environment.  While still having moments of panic, the bird becomes calmer.  Helen knows she has a long road ahead to teach a wild animal trust, but she is willing to do the work.
