ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

(The Norwegian Sepp voted to put down the troublesome, disobedient pup, but his wife overruled him.)  And so, Sepp must now spend time he doesn't have in reinforcing the dog pen so Togo can no longer escape and cause trouble.  Sepp, laying the final rocks: "When I finish, you'll start serving life in prison, all because I married a Belgian.  Try digging out now."  Sepp, believing the pen to be secure, takes the dogs out for a run.  But he hasn't counted on Togo's determination.  The pup, who hates being left behind, immediately works to solve his problem.  He begins to dig.  Encountering the rocks outside his first hole, Togo moves on and digs another.  And another.  And another.  Soon, the pen is full of holes and the other dogs have grown bored.  Finally, Togo decides to dig not at the edge of the fence, but in the middle of the pen.  He digs and digs and digs, going around the rocks, until he has escaped.  His energy unabated from his long labor, Togo races off to the hills, to follow after Sepp.


Togo can't bear to be left behind when Sepp takes the dogs on a run.  Because of this, Sepp has locked Togo inside the shop.  But the clever dog is determined to find a way out.  He looks all around, noting the small gap near the top of the roof where a pipe exits the building.  Mentally planning his route upwards, he prods open a cupboard and makes his way onto the work table.  From there, he steps from shelf to higher shelf, knocking over all of Sepp's carefully organized glass jars along the way.  At this point, Constance exits the house and hears the noise of breaking glass coming from the shop.  Togo, ignoring the mess, continues along his planned route.  He moves from shelf to shelf until he finally reaches the cross beams beneath the roof.  From there, the pipe is an easy target.  Constance smiles when she sees the puppy pop out of the shop: "Well, good afternoon."  Togo leaps from the roof onto a wagon and then to the ground.  Barking happily, he runs in the direction of the dogs and Sepp.  Constance, calling after him: "Good luck, little one."

A man approaches the race official and places a bet of 20 dollars on Sepp and his dog team.  Two others hear him and laugh: "Twenty dollars on those itty-bitty dogs!  Scotty Allan, the greatest musher of all time, left the last roadhouse in the lead.  Friend, this race is over."  Elsewhere, across the frozen tundra, Sepp and his dogs approach the famous Scotty.  Sepp, grinning at his dogs: "You see that?  That's the best dog team in the world, right there.  They know who they are.  Time for us to find out who we are."  Sepp yells for the dogs to pick up their pace.  He continues to encourage them as the reach and surpass Scotty.  Back in the town, the man who bet on Sepp has climbed a telegraph pole to get a better view.  His mockers are startled when they see the lead dog team: "Wait a minute...that's not Scotty.  Who is that?"  Man, unable to contain his glee: "That, my friends, is Leonhard Seppala and his itty-bitty dogs."  Sepp crosses the finish line to win the race and the title of best dog team in the world.


Sepp and his dogs have again crossed over the Sound.  This time, however, the ice was more than cracked.  It was breaking apart into floating icebergs and Sepp and his team barely made it across.  Sepp is relieved when he sees land and he rejoices, somewhat prematurely: "We made it!"  But when the dogs reach the edge of the iceberg, they are still a dozen feet from the land.  Sepp stares at the gap of water despondently.  To fall in would be a death sentence for any of them and swimming is not an option.  Thinking fast, he stakes the sled to the iceberg and tosses Togo onto the land.  He calls out to the dog to pull them in.  Togo, roped to the sled, pulls and pulls, at first making no headway.  But he continues, with Sepp's encouragement, and finally, the iceberg slowly starts to move closer to land.  At last, Togo pulls them close enough that Sepp and the dogs are able to make the jump themselves.  Togo's persistence has saved them all.


Sepp and his dog team are attempting to cross the semi-frozen Sound.  The appalling sound of cracking ice surrounds them as they run.  Sometimes, it's more than a sound, and Sepp watches in horror as enormous cracks erupt all around them.  The dogs are obviously scared, and so Sepp begins to call out words of encouragement to keep them going.  "Good dog!"  They whimper, but continue to run.  The cracks and eruptions are everywhere now, and so Sepp decides his dogs need to hear his voice full-time.  In a warm, proud tone, Sepp talks to them of their bravery, modifying Shakespeare's words to his own use: "What, my pups, are we to fear ice now?  He which hath no stomach to this fight, let him depart.  His passport shall be made.  We will not die in that dog's company.  Old dogs forget, but he will remember, with advantages, the feats he did that day!  Then shall our names, familiar in his mouth as household words, Seppala, the driver, Fritz and Sally, Molly and Red and Togo, the great Togo in lead, be all in their flowing water bowls freshly remembering.  And dogs in Nome, now abed, shall think themselves accursed they were not here.  We few, we happy few, we band of champions!  Now, run my pups, run!"  The dogs may not have understood the words, but they understood their master's voice.  And they continued across the ice, despite their fear.


Sepp and his dog team are traveling a particularly perilous part of their journey.  Speeding down a steep mountain pass, Sepp can hardly see through the snow blinding his eyes.  Unbeknownst to him, he misses his turn and the dogs continue racing toward a drop-off.  Spotting the danger in time, the lead dog, Togo, suddenly tries to stop.  But the almost perpendicular angle works against the dogs.  Sepp, realizing his mistake, frantically tries to dig his ice brakes into the snow, but their fall is too fast.  Finally, Sepp falls off the sled and tries to pull it to a stop himself.  But the momentum is too powerful and he is pulled violently backwards.  He and his dogs are falling fast and nearing the edge when he is finally able to get a grip with his ice axe.  He yells for Togo to lead the other dogs back up the slope, but the dogs are terrified.  Dangling at the edge of the drop, the dogs can't see past their fear.  Togo, hearing the voice of his master, tries to lead the dogs back up the slope, but they won't follow and only end up tangling their lines.  Togo, following Sepp's commands, tries again and again, but the dogs still aren't following.  Finally, he barks at them and the dogs immediately begin to obey.  Struggling and straining, the dogs pull the sled up the icy incline.  Sepp collapses back in relief. (Caution: h-word used)

Sepp enters his bedroom and sees Constance stroking a tiny, wheezing puppy.  The puppy is the runt of the litter and, in Sepp's economy, doomed to die.  But Constance sees worth in the small creature and wants to help it all she can.  Sepp: "A runt has more imperfections than just size, you know.  Nature has its ways of sorting things out."  Constance: "Oh, so should I just drown him and speed up the process?"  Sepp: "I'm just saying that Alaska can be particularly cruel to the weak."  Constance: "I don't need to be reminded.  What does it cost you to give this life a chance?"  Sepp: "What does he bring to the breed if he survives?"  Constance: "The heart of a survivor."
