ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

## How We Use Cookies

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

Gari, the new step coach, introduces herself to the team.  Gari: "I want everyone to introduce themselves to me, tell me why they like to step."  Amanda: "I like to step because it's empowering."  Girl: "It's a form of art that brings us all together."  Girl 2:  "I can express myself in different ways during step."  Blessin: "I like to step because it's a passion of mine.  I like to see our ideas come to life.  Step is life."  Words come onscreen, explaining the purpose of the inner-city school.  120 girls from poverty-stricken families were chosen, with the goal that every student would attend college.  The girls are shown practicing.  Blessin: "Step is a complete getaway for me.  Like a complete erase from home.  My community is pretty poisonous.  It feels good to know that you and your teammates are all on the same page and that you're just moving as one."  Coach Gari explains how the step team furthers that mission: "I want them to understand that this is way bigger than stepping.  It's about not making excuses, making sacrifices, having a positive attitude.  I know it gets tough.  They come home to no lights, come home to violence in their neighborhood, not having food in the refrigerator, not having a refrigerator at all.  But when they come to step practice, all of those things are erased out of their mind.  So that is why they can succeed.  'Cause they can make it through step practice, so they can make it through life."

Six-year-old Tiyon tells Blessin that he hasn't eaten anything yet that day.  Smiling, he says he's going to "eat like a gorilla" when his mom brings some food home.  Blessin, putting on a brave face: "Well, we get some food stamps on the sixteenth, so we be all right."  Tiyon leaves the room and Blessin speaks to the camera with tears coming down her cheeks: "As of right now, it's no food in the 'frigerator.  I mean, I'm not eating.  That's fine.  As of right now, I'm just waitin' for my sister to come home so she can order something.  But, he's six.  I mean, it's okay, though.  Just gotta make the best out of what you have.  'Cause if I didn't, I would be angry, upset, and a bitter person.  And I don't want to be that type of person.  I just keep me going, keep me going, make me work harder and harder, and put my all into everything I'm doing because this is not it for me."

The members of the step team are "sitting the wall" for disciplinary issues.  (They must stand with backs to the wall, bend their knees until in a sitting position, and hold their arms out straight.)  The task is a painful one, and the girls grimace as the coach makes them start again and again.  Each time a girl lowers her arms, they must repeat the process.  One girl, Nush, has a difficult time keeping her arms straight.  Finally, one of the other girls attacks her: "Why you go down, Nush?  Why you go down?"  Immediately other girls begin to yell at Nush.  Coach, interrupting: "Excuse me, is that how we encourage our teammates?"  Girls, frustrated: "Yes."  Coach: "That's not teamwork.  That's not cool.  That's not sisterhood.  That's not integrity.  Yelling at Nush.  Yelling at each other.  That's not what winners do.  You gotta have the mindset.  The mindset of a winner.  Not being disrespectful to each other, to yourselves."

Paula, the school's college counselor, describes how Blessin's grades have gone downhill.  Paula, looking discouraged: "We're right back where we started."  Blessin sits down for a meeting with the principal, Ms. Hall.  Hall: "You had a 38 (percent).  Are these grades your best?  Does this show as good as you are?"  Ms. Hall, sternly, but with loving intentions, tells Blessin that she has to do better if she wants to go to college: "I expect more from you."  Blessin goes to the bathroom to wipe the tears off her face.  Blessin: "I have, like, two people inside of me that I struggle with every day.  One Blessin is the Blessin that is unstoppable, the Blessin that can do anything when she put her mind to it.  And the other Blessin is, she feels lost a lot and she feels stuck."

Cori Grainger and her family are standing around the computer, waiting to see if she's been accepted to Johns Hopkins University.  When Cori reads the results aloud, she finds out that, not only has she been accepted, she has received a full scholarship.  Cori's mom (who had her when she was sixteen) is proud and grateful: "I don't know if the words that I know are adequate enough to describe how I feel."  Mrs. Grainger and her husband stand in church, worshipping wholeheartedly.  Mrs. Grainger, narrating: "There is always light at the end of the tunnel.  We are all human.  We all go through things.  The common denominator between every human is we have problems.  And they will keep coming.  And so, you get up from that place.  You can't stay there."  Mrs. Grainger begins to weep as she worships.  "God has blessed me.  A lot of parents who had children my age, they don't have this story."  The congregation sings "How Great is our God."

Coach finds Blessin filling out her college application.  Blessin, a poor student, confesses that changing seems daunting to her.  Coach encourages her with her own story: "High school, I completely messed up.  I wasn't even in school.  I dropped out."  Coach tells the girl that she realized she had made a mistake and turned her life around.  Blessin: "That's where I'm at right now."  Coach: "I can tell.  I can tell it's hard.  But you have to know it's not too late."  Blessin, deeply affected: "I genuinely did not know that you stopped school.  You did all of that.  Like, I want to do that!  I really do want to do exactly what you did."  Coach: "Do better.  Do better."  Later, Blessin is reading her application essay aloud: "It is never too late to make a turnaround."

The girls are in their final weeks of practice before the big step competition.  Working as a team, they do strength-training exercises, practice routines, and design choreography.  All throughout, Coach G. is encouraging them, pushing them to do better.  There are mistakes and setbacks, but overall, they are improving.  And, at the end, Coach is satisfied: "We're gonna win."

It's graduation day for the first class of the Baltimore charter school for girls.  The young women gather in their caps and gowns, posing for photos, and laughing with friends and family.  Cori's mom kneels to pray with her before the ceremony: "We thank You, Father God, that Cori is strong in her mind, in her spirit, in her body.  It's all because of Your grace."  The girls file into the auditorium amid the sounds of cheering and applause.  The principal congratulates them on achieving their goal...100% college admittance.  Cori, the valedictorian, gives her speech: "The future is truly in our hands, so let's make the most of it."  One-by-one, the girls file onto stage and receive their diplomas.
