ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show thousands of movie titles and TV shows from a number of producers, including all the major studios. - Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including movie content? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include movie content, the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming movie content - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream movie content inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include movie content, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

Liesl insists that her father, Korda, bring his nine sons—who previously lived across the street—into the mansion to live as a proper family. She arranges a formal dinner, leading the boys in prayer with bowed heads, much to Korda’s irritation. “What’s this about? Don’t make ’em be religious!” he snaps, but Liesl remains unfazed: “I already did. We’re reading Genesis.” Korda, baffled, mutters, “Why would anybody do something I didn’t tell them to do?” When the tutor presents a mantis and the boys recoil in fear, Korda barks, “Are you men or mice? You should be lions! No bugs at the table.” One son timidly asks if Korda used to eat dinner with his own father as a child; Korda simply replies no and moves on. Clearly the master of his domain, Korda thrives on control and unpredictability. He suddenly declares a new house rule: each child is allowed a maximum of two authorized friends—no one else will be permitted inside. Simultaneously, he announces the family motto: “Break but don’t bend.” After he dispenses a wildly inappropriate piece of advice to one of the boys, Liesl challenges him: “Why do you adopt children into this madness?” Korda answers without hesitation, “I play the odds. Of course, I have my boys, but the adopted ones might turn out to be better.”


Korda confesses to his daughter Liesl that, although he did not directly murder her mother, his actions may have led to her death. He reveals that her mother had an affair with his brother Nubar, and despite his own history of infidelity, he was so enraged that he spread a vicious rumor—one he believes may have driven Nubar to kill her. Liesl, stunned and furious, slaps him hard across the face and demands he promise to bring Nubar to justice. Then, unexpectedly, she forgives him. Korda, visibly shaken, stares at her: “Just like that? That was my confession of something terrible. I told a poisonous lie and your mother’s dead.” Liesl slaps him again, but her resolve doesn’t waver. As a nun, she simply replies, “I forgive you. We’re taught to.”


Korda is reading papers aboard his private jet when a sudden noise grabs his attention. He turns to his assistant just as the side of the plane explodes, violently sucking half the young man out into the sky while his legs remain strapped to the seat. Unfazed, Korda heads to the cockpit, where the pilot is frantically trying to keep the aircraft airborne. With eerie calm, Korda instructs him to coast over the mountain ahead and find a “more survivable” crash site. The pilot, stunned and furious, erupts: he warned Korda about the wet tarmac, the short runway, the 25-knot crosswind, the lightning, and the sabotage threats. He was denied a proper safety check, bullied into takeoff, and now they’re crashing—again—because someone is trying to assassinate Korda. Throughout the tirade, Korda watches silently, expressionless. When the pilot finishes, Korda ejects him from the plane with a cold, “You’re fired.” Then, without hesitation, he takes the controls himself and crash-lands the burning jet into a cornfield.


Korda surprises Liesl by asking Mother Superior if she is authorized to baptize him, a startling request given his well-known atheism. “I feel I have a religious awakening now, if that’s what we call it,” he explains. Mother Superior, intrigued, asks how this awakening came to pass. Korda reflects aloud: “Partly it’s because of my near-death episodes—I get, I get a kind of visions. Then, partly, there is a fiduciary benefit. But mostly, and I would weight this factor out to maybe 75%, it’s simply the influence of my daughter’s influence, which has a profound effect on me.” Later, in private, Liesl confronts him with quiet intensity: “The point is to be delivered from sin and purified. It doesn’t work if you’re lying.” Korda, perfectly sincere, replies, “I’m not lying. I’m capable of and willing to genuinely believe in the opposite of my personal convictions. I can do that… in certain situations.”

Liesl looks at her reprobate father and asks him where his ruthless brutality comes from.  "You don't know me.  The boys live across the street.  There's no love in this house, as far as I can observe.  God is absent.  Why?"  Korda blames his bad character on his childhood: "I think it's not my fault.  It's a self-fulfilling prophecy which starts in the nursery.  No one cared about or for me except my nanny, and she was dismissed and put to shame."  Liesl: "What for?"  Korda: "She overstepped her position.  It had to be done."


Bjorn and Liesl come running at the sound of Korda’s cry, only to find him sunk up to his neck in quicksand, calmly puffing on his cigar. “Don’t help me,” he mutters, defiant even in peril. Bjorn ignores him, quickly wrapping a vine around his own waist and instructing Liesl to secure it to a nearby tree, vowing to save her father. But Korda, now sinking deeper and forced to tilt his head back to speak, remains obstinate: “No, you won’t. I’ll save myself myself.” As consciousness slips away, Korda finds himself in a vision, kneeling before God in heaven. Troubled by the knowledge that he employs many slaves, he asks if slavery is a sin. God affirms it unequivocally, then extends two hands and asks Korda to choose. He picks one—empty. Fear creeps into Korda’s face as he braces for judgment. God speaks: “The yield of Adam’s loins crucified my only begotten Son.” Korda: “I know, I know. Jesus.” A crack of lightning jolts him awake. Coughing and gasping, he realizes Bjorn has saved him. Blinking in disbelief, Korda mutters, “I’m not dead yet.”


When Korda proposes settling their business dispute with a game of basketball, Prince Farouk is immediately dismayed. “This puts us at a spectacular disadvantage. I’ve never played the game in my life,” he protests. Unbothered, Korda offers no explanation of the rules, merely noting that basketball happens to be their opponents’ greatest strength—but he still likes their odds. As the rival executives effortlessly sink professional-level shots, Korda remains undeterred, even when his own attempt veers wildly off target. He urges Farouk to take a shot, insisting with misplaced confidence that he’s good at basketball. Farouk, feeling absurd, protests, “I’m not good! It’s utterly foreign to me!” Nevertheless, he trots up to the basket without dribbling and tosses the ball upward—only for it to pass cleanly through the hoop from underneath, scoring nothing. Only then does Korda casually mention the rule about dribbling. The game continues in this fashion: the executives land every shot with ease, while Korda and Farouk deliver a series of increasingly disastrous attempts, their performance a spectacle of spectacular ineptitude.


After Prince Farouk makes an impossible basketball shot, winning their business deal, Korda asks his daughter what specifically she prayed to make it happen.  Korda: "Even as an atheist, without God's will he would've botched it by a mile."  Liesl, holding her rosary: "It's not witchcraft.  The phrasing of it, which I don't recall, doesn't matter.  What matters is the sincerity of your devotion."  Korda nods: "That's it."  


When Liesl asks her father why he doesn’t have a passport, Korda responds with pride, declaring himself a citizen of nowhere. He revels in his harsh brand of self-reliance, scoffing at the notion of belonging to any nation. “Normal people want the basic human rights that accompany citizenship in any sovereign nation. I don’t,” he says smugly. Though he maintains a network of hole-in-the-wall shelters scattered across remote locations, he insists he has no true home. “I don’t live anywhere. I’m not a citizen at all. I don’t need my human rights,” he proclaims, as if detachment were a badge of honor.
