ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

Sybert and Tchuda are in the engine room when Frank arrives with bad news.  Certain the ship won't hold together in the terrible storm unless they slow down, Sybert determines to call the captain.  Before he can place the call, however, a hole breaks open in the side of the ship and water begins rushing in.  The ship gives a sudden, wrenching lurch, and sailors everywhere are thrown from their positions.  Some hit their heads on the ceiling, some are tossed through the air, others fall to the ground.  Frank goes to alert the men of the hull fracture while Sybert calmly checks the mechanics in the engine room.  With water flooding in at such an incredible rate of speed, Sybert knows they don't have long before they'll sink.  He tries to radio the captain, but can't get through.  Sybert sends Tchuda up on deck to try to reason with the captain.  With the wind and rain flaying him from all sides, Tchuda slowly makes his way across the gangplank toward the captain's deck.  Suddenly, the floor of the gangplank disappears and Tchuda has to clutch the railing to keep from falling several stories into the sea.  Looking down, he sees that the huge oil rig has been completely torn in half.  The half housing the engine room is still floating upright.  The half with the captain's bridge, however, is rolling onto its side.  While Tchuda watches with horror, the other half of the ship sinks into the depths of the ocean, taking its captain and officers down with it.  (Caution: Lord's name used in vain)

The remaining crew members of the oil tanker have just watched their fellow sailors drown in the stormy sea.  In desperate straits themselves, the men have halted their attempts to stop their half of the ship from sinking in order to pray for themselves and for their lost mates.  The thirty men stand together, heads bowed, eyes closed and lips silently moving.  The fervency of their pleas are etched on their faces.  Brown, the one man who seems uninterested in praying, opens his eyes and looks around impatiently.  Seeing that everyone else is still praying, he interrupts: "That's enough time, what do you think?"  The others open their eyes and scowl at him.  Brown, anxious to resume work on the ship: "We're takin' on water.  We gotta launch them lifeboats."  Quirey is angry that Brown is so callously dismissing their friends who have just died.  Brown: "Hey, don't get me wrong.  Prayin's great, but it ain't everything.  We need to actually do somethin.'"  (Caution: a-word used)

Sybert and his men have just finished constructing their handmade tiller when Frank tells them that Brown is inciting the men to take the lifeboats and abandon ship.  Frank: "They think it's their best hope."  (Sybert has already warned Brown that the lifeboats won't hold up in such a raging storm.)  Gritting his teeth, Sybert grabs an axe and heads above deck.  Before anyone can think to stop him, he pushes his way through the crowd of sailors and cuts the ropes holding up the lifeboat.  The lifeboat plunges into the sea.  Brown, furious, tackles Sybert, believing he has destroyed their only hope of survival.  Quirey, watching the progress of the lifeboat, sees a huge wave hurtle it at the side of the rig.  Only seconds in the water, and the boat is already smashed to bits.  Quirey runs to Brown, pulling him off of Sybert: "He just saved your life, okay?  The boat's in pieces.  It's gone!"

Bernie has just been ordered to captain a rescue mission to try to save the surviving crew of the Pendleton.  The mood in the room is sober, as each experienced sailor knows the mission is likely to be a deadly one.  Before Bernie can go to the mess hall and put together a crew, several old fishermen stop him, hoping to save his life.  Stello, earnestly: "That man in there don't know what he's doing.  He's sending you out to die.  You can't make it over Chatham bar on a day like this."  Bernie, while appreciating their concern, isn't going to be deterred from his assignment: "Mr. Stello, in the Coast Guard they say you gotta go out.  But they don't say you gotta come back in."  Mr. Ryder encourages Bernie to go out if he has to, but to pretend to get lost in order to avoid the dangerous bar.  Stello adds his vote to that plan.  Bernie respectfully thanks the men, but refuses: "I'm gonna do my best to get out there."  Bernie enters the mess hall, the three fishermen following behind.  He silently looks around the room where a dozen or so men are sitting at tables.  Everyone knows why he is there and the risks of joining his crew.  Most avoid his eyes.  Silently, Richard raises his hand, volunteering.  Two others join him and, without even asking, Bernie has his crew.

In a daring attempt to save their sinking ship, the crewmen of the Pendleton have decided to steer her to a sandbar and run her aground.  With only half a ship, a handmade rudder, and no radio, the men are relying on each other to succeed.  Quirey is stationed on the top deck as lookout.  A dozen others are spaced out in intervals on a path to the engine room, where Sybert waits for directions.  In the engine room, the others are working furiously to slow the water damage and work the rudder.  When Quirey spots land, he gives the coordinates to a seaman, who races to the next man on the relay and communicates the order to him.  That man runs to the next, who runs to the next, and so on, until the message reaches the engine room.  Sybert changes the coordinates, while Frank (with a broken arm) leads the others in pulling the immense rudder into place.  Slowly, the ship begins to turn.

Bernie and his crew have come to the most dangerous part of their journey - - crossing the bar.  Huge waves form in this section of the ocean, particularly during a storm.  Bernie must navigate the boat safely through a dozen or so huge waves, any of which could easily capsize a boat of its size.  Tense and frightened, all four men stare in fear at the first of the coming waves.  Facing it head-on, Bernie increases power and drives straight toward the perpendicular wave.  The boat climbs straight up, catching air at the crest, and hovers for a few moments before crashing back into the sea.  The force of the hit throws Maske out of his seat.  Before the men can recover from the first wave, a second one strikes them, flooding the boat with water.  The wave continues to push them sideways out to sea.  When they are finally free from its path, they discover their compass is gone.  But the men have no time to ruminate on their troubles.  Another huge wave is about to strike.  This one rolls the boat over and floods the engine.  Fitz and Richie frantically try to restart the engine before the next wave hits.  With only seconds to spare, they succeed.  Narrowly, they survive the next wave.  They have a few moments to breathe, and Richie looks over at Bernie.  Bernie, breathing heavily, closes his eyes and unclenches his fists, preparing himself for the coming battle.  Again and again, he steers the little boat over the giant waves.  Finally, a last massive wave approaches.  Bernie speeds up the boat and they drive straight through it, completely submerged underwater.  They emerge safely on the other side, having passed the treacherous waves.

Bernie and his crew have been attempting to contact the Coast Guard base, but to no avail.  They can hear incoming radio messages, but have no ability to communicate themselves.  Over the radio, they hear that Bangs and his crew have decided to give up their rescue attempt and are returning to base.  (The rough seas, bad storm, and pitch black night have made conditions nearly impossible to overcome.)  Richie, to Bernie: "We're all alone...storm is getting worse.  We should turn back in, Webber."  Fitz agrees: "Look, Bernie, we already made it out further than anybody thought was possible!"  In the background, the radio is continuing to broadcast details of the terrible weather conditions.  When Bernie still doesn't respond, Richie gets angry: "We got no compass!  We have no way to communicate!"  Finally, Bernie speaks, amazed at what they've been able to accomplish so far: "We did it, Richie!  You want to turn back around?  No.  No, not now.  We came too far.  We're not giving up on them.  Not on my watch."

Bernie and his crew have radioed the Coast Guard office that they have successfully rescued all 32 survivors of the wrecked oil rig.  In the process, however, they lost their compass and are attempting to find their way back to land in total darkness.  Miriam sits in her car alone, staring at the ocean.  A power outage on the island has knocked out all the lights and there is no way for a ship to be able to spot land.  Across the water, the men are on the lifeboat, freezing, tired, and near hopeless.  A huge wave crashes over the boat, soaking the already frigid sailors.  Suddenly, Miriam flicks her headlights on and gets out of the car to watch the harbor.  A man nearby sees what she has done and shouts for everybody in the parking lot to follow her lead: "Keep your lights on, like she's doing!"  Others join in: "More lights so they can see us!"  Quickly, all the headlights in the parking lot are turned on, creating a golden glow in a sky filled with darkness.  Back on the boat, Bernie is nearing unconsciousness.  Suddenly, through blurred vision, a light appears in the distance.  He stares harder at the sight.  Richie lifts his head, seeing the same thing.  Both men begin to laugh, believing for the first time they will be saved.  Following the lights, Bernie steers the boat into the harbor, where dozens of people are waiting for them with open arms.
