ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

## How We Use Cookies

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

Cruella narrates visions of her childhood.  A baby Cruella, with head of shocking black and white hair, is laid in a stroller and taken for a walk.  Cruella: "From the very beginning, I've always made a statement.  Not everyone appreciated that."  An elderly woman looks into the stroller expectantly, but steps back, horrified at the baby's hair.  She looks at Cruella's mother: "That's unfortunate."  Cruella: "But I wasn't for everyone.  From an early age, I realized I saw the world differently from everyone else."  A young Cruella holds up her stuffed bear for her mother's approval.  She has rigged out the bear in a unique shirt and Cruella herself is wearing a flashy sweater covered in colored puffs.  Cruella's mother holds up the shirt pattern, which is ordinary and plain: "You have to follow the pattern.  There's a way of doing things."  Cruella takes the pattern and tears it in half: "That's ugly."  Later, Cruella begins school and her mother gives her a pep talk beforehand, knowing her unique daughter will likely face challenges: "They're lucky to have you."  Once inside the building, Cruella removes her standard uniform jacket and turns it inside out, revealing a liner she had decorated with her own style.  She struts down the hall with her black-and-white hair and introduces herself to the first person she sees.  He laughs at her, calling her a skunk.  From then on, Cruella is in constant trouble at school.  When the bullies mock her, she hits back.  Over and over again, she is sent to the principal's office until, one day, she is expelled.


The Baroness and Estella are in a restaurant.  The Baroness taps her fingers impatiently as the waiter awkwardly tries to open a bottle of champagne.  After a few moments of irritated waiting, the Baroness yanks the bottle out of his hands and expertly pops the cork into the waiter's eye.  She pours the champagne, ignoring his pain: "Go."  When the Baroness toasts herself, Estella cannot help but laugh at her audacity.  Baroness: "Who the h--l else would I drink to?"  Estella: "To me?  For creating your signature piece."  Baroness: "You're helpful to me, is all.  As soon as you're not, you're dust."  Estella, sarcastically: "Inspiring talk."  Baroness: "You can't care about anyone else.  Everyone else is an obstacle.  You care what an obstacle wants or feels, you're dead.  If I had cared about anyone or anything I might have died, like so many brilliant women with a drawer full of unseen genius and a heart full of sad bitterness."  She tells Estella that she does have talent, but it would be a killer instinct that would guarantee her success.  (Caution: h-word used)


Two department store CEOs are meeting with the Baroness to give her some "feedback" on her product.  Baroness: "Oh, great.  I'll start, shall I?"  Turning to the first man, a portly executive, she says, bluntly: "You're short.  You're fat.  You smell like an anchovy.  You're color-blind, but you pretend you aren't."  She turns to the second man, just as bluntly: "You're a man who can't take responsibility.  Your revenues are down by 15%, your foot traffic by 12 and a half.  Your store hasn't been refurbished since the Blitz.  People don't know whether to buy a frock or duck and cover.  And, most of the funds mean for refurbs are being embezzled by you, stashing them in Swiss bank account number 32254766, to be precise.  That's me.  Your turn.  I'm all ears."  The two men depart, too scathed to share their own criticisms.


Cruella has just learned that her evil, murderous nemesis is her birth mother and the woman she always considered mother had adopted her.  She is talking to her dead adoptive mother, wanting to vent her feelings to the only person she ever really loved.  Cruella, bitterly: "I guess you were always scared, weren't you, that I'd be a psycho like my real mum?  That explains all the 'tone it down, try and fit in' stuff.  Love me into shape, I suppose, was the plan.  And I tried.  I really, I tried because I loved you.  But the thing is, I'm not sweet Estella, try as I might.  I never was.  I'm Cruella...born brilliant, born bad, and a little bit mad."  Cruella's tears are replaced by a wicked grin: "I'm not like her.  I'm better."

Cruella lies on her bed, tears in her eyes, after learning that the Baroness deliberately killed her mother.  She thinks to herself: "They say there are five stages of grief.  Denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance.  Well, I'd like to add one more."  Cruella's sorrowful expression changes to an evil-looking smile: "Revenge."

Cruella has come to the Baroness's black and white ball determined to outshine her rival.  John greets his boss, who is dressed in a stunning black and white gown: "You look ravishing, Baroness."  Baroness: "Master of understatement, as usual."  She lifts her glass of champagne and directs her guests in a toast: "Here's to me."  Just as people are about to drink, the sound of breaking glass from the back of the room attracts their attention.  Cruella, wearing a white satin cloak and hood, is drinking a glass of champagne she tore from the display, fully aware that all eyes are on her.  Coolly, she finishes her drink and asks the man next to her for a light.  When he hands her a lit match, she holds it, staring tauntingly with wide eyes at the Baroness.  She drops the match.  It hits the alcohol at her feet and moves up her cloak in an instant.  The cloak, made of a special material, disappears in the brief flame, revealing a startling red dress underneath.  The crowd gasps in amazement at the dramatic display.  Cruella smiles as a journalist takes her picture.  The Baroness, never one to share the limelight, orders her guards to remove Cruella.


Gerald has just fired Estella for "vandalizing" the store front window display.  He is hauling her to security when the word reaches him that the Baroness is on site.  Instantly stressed, Gerald claps his hands spasmodically, yelling to any employee in his vicinity: "She's coming!"  Meanwhile, Estella takes her opportunity to escape Gerald and hide behind a jewelry display.  But she doesn't want to leave before she gets a glimpse of the famous designer who owns the shop she used to work in.  A slow and steady beat plays in the background dramatically as the Baroness steps out of her luxury sedan.  Her eyes are hidden behind large, dark sunglasses and she is dressed to perfection in the height of fashion.  A security team and personal assistant follow her closely, anticipating each move.  Gerald takes a deep breath to steady himself as the boss approaches.  She looks around the store with disdain and slowly approaches Gerald.  She takes off her sunglasses to look him in the eye, skipping a greeting she would consider unnecessary: "That window display."  Gerald, sniveling: "I'm so sorry.  I can explain that."  He orders security to get the "vandal" that ruined the display: "We're dealing with it."  Baroness: "So, she works here?"  Gerald: "Oh, no, no.  She was fired.  We try to give these wretches a chance, but, um...breeding.  Need I say more?"  Baroness: "So, she doesn't work here?"  Gerald is suddenly unsure of her meaning and quickly tries to ascertain how he thinks she wants him to answer.  He leans closer to her, but the Baroness pulls away in disgust: "You're sweating, and I can smell you."  Gerald, smiling: "Brilliant.  Thank you."  Gerald is horrified as the Baroness instructs her personal assistant to hire Estella.  Baroness, to Gerald: "You're a fool.  That girl put together a better window display than I've seen here for 10 years."  Gerald immediately changes his tune, pretending he approved of Estella all along: "Here, here."
