ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

## How We Use Cookies

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

Grandma is taking Miguel to the "ofrenda" room.  Inside, candle-lit tables have been set up in an altar-like formation.  Rows of photographs are alternated with flowers, food, and personal items.  Grandma: "Dia de los Muertes is the one night of the year our ancestors can come visit us.  We put their photos on the ofrenda so their spirits can cross over.  That is very important.  If we don't put them up, they can't come.  We made all this food, set out the things they loved in life, mijo.  All this work to bring the family together."

Miguel is watching old video tapes of Cruz, his musical hero, play the guitar.  Leaning forward eagerly, he mimics what he sees on his own guitar.  As the man on the television screen talks about the power of music, Miguel continues to play, letting the sounds speak to his soul.  Eyes closed, he smiles rapturously as he listens.  Suddenly, a question on the video makes him open his eyes and scoot closer to hear the answer.   Interviewer: "Senor Cruz, what did it take for you to seize your moment?"  Cruz: "I had to have faith in my dream.  No one was going to hand it to me.  It was up to me to reach for that dream, grab it tight, and make it come true."   Miguel, inspired, looks at a poster advertising a local talent show: "I've got to seize my moment!"

Miguel has suddenly found himself able to see the spiritual world.  Peeking out from behind a tombstone, he watches as the souls of the dead come to visit the living relatives at their gravesites.  He slaps his cheeks, certain he must be dreaming.  The visions remain before him, however.  Miguel begins to sprint through the graveyard.  Suddenly, he runs into a spirit, knocking him over.  The spirit recognizes him: "Miguel?"   A small group of spirits turn at the sound of the name and stare at the boy.  The spirits embrace him, telling the boy they are his family.  Miguel looks more closely at each of them, beginning to recognize them as dead relatives.  Knowing the boy shouldn't be able to see them, the spirits decide to take Miguel over into the land of the dead to try to sort out what is happening.  They take him to a bridge covered with glowing flower petals.  The bridge, leading off into the clouds, is filled with spirits walking back and forth between the lands of the living and the dead.  Miguel hesitantly steps onto the bridge, filled with amazement.  A little way down the bridge, an enormous city comes into view.   Miguel stares at the city of the dead in awe, looking at all the spirits moving back and forth: "This isn't a dream then.  You're all really out there."   His dead aunt approaches: "You thought we weren't?"   Miguel: "Well, I don't know.  I thought it might've been one of those made up things that adults tell kids.  Like vitamins."  Aunt: "Miguel, vitamins are a real thing."  Miguel: "Well, now I'm thinking maybe they could be."

Cheech has asked Hector to sing him a song.  He lies on his hammock, listening to the music contentedly.  When the song is over, he thanks his friend and closes his eyes.  Hector watches sadly as Cheech's body glows orange, turns into dust, and floats into the sky.   Miguel, having witnessed the entire scene, is confused: "What happened?"   Hector, his shoulders drooping: "He's been forgotten.  When there's no one left in the living world who remembers you, you disappear from this world (the underworld).  We call it the final death."   Miguel: "Where did he go?"   Hector: "No one knows."

Cruz is giving Miguel a tour of his underworld mansion when he notices the boy looking worried: "Hey, what's wrong?"   Miguel, sighing: "It's just...I've been looking up to you my whole life.  You're the guy who actually did it!  But did you ever regret it?  Choosing music over everything else?"   Cruz, looking thoughtful: "It was hard.  Saying goodbye to my hometown, heading off on my own."   Miguel, finishing for him: "Leaving your family?"   Cruz, somewhat sadly: "Si.  But I could not have done it differently.  One cannot deny who one is meant to be."

Miguel kneels before his great-grandmother Coco's wheelchair.  The elderly woman is losing her memory and spends much of her time silently staring into space.  Miguel pleads with Coco to remember her father before his memory dies for good.  He shows her his guitar, hoping it will trigger a memory.  He pulls out a torn photograph, but to no avail.  The woman stares blankly, her mouth slightly agape.  Miguel turns her face to look at the picture, but she shows no signs of recognition, or even awareness of Miguel.  Miguel's family bursts into the room, angry that he might be upsetting Mama Coco.  As he moves to apologize to her, Miguel's foot strikes the guitar.  Suddenly, he has an idea.  He begins to play the song Coco's father wrote for her when she was a little girl.   ♪ "Remember me.  Though I have to say goodbye, remember me.  Don't let it make you cry.  For even if I'm far away, I hold you in my heart.  I sing a secret song to you each night we are apart.  Remember me." ♪ As Miguel sings, Coco's fingers begin to twitch.  Her eyes open wider.  Her family watches in amazement as she begins to sing along with Miguel.  Soon, Coco is singing and smiling at Miguel.  A tear runs down her daughter's cheek.  When the song is over, Coco is like her old self.

A two-minute short film, titled Dante's Lunch – A Short Tail, was released online on March 29, 2017. It introduces the film's supporting character, a Xoloitzcuintle named Dante. The short was created early in the animation process by Unkrich and his team to have a better sense of the character.
