ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

As he waves goodbye to Benny, one of his players, he expresses surprise to see the young man ride away on a motorized scooter.  Marcus: "He's gonna kill himself.  All that ice!"  He assumes that Benny's disabilities would prevent him from driving safely.  Julio tells him not to underestimate Benny and the other players: "These guys are capable of a lot more than you think."  He goes on to tell Marcus about some of the daily lives of the players.  Benny lives on his own, wakes up at five o'clock every morning, and goes to work at a restaurant.  Johnny is great with animals and works in a shelter.  Marlon speaks four languages fluently.  Showtime delivers packages, and Blaire gardens.  Each of them have something to overcome, but they all also have amazing gifts they use to lead full lives.


Coach Marcus looks surprised as Darius approaches him.  (Darius, who suffered a traumatic brain injury at the hands of a drunk driver, has always refused to play for Coach Marcus.  This is because Marcus was made coach as part of a mandatory community service program after a DUI conviction.)  Coach: "What's up?"  Darius: "My mama's a Christian.  She wants me to forgive the lady that hit me.  I've tried, but I can't.  But, I thought, maybe, I could practice on you."  Darius tells a grinning Marcus that he will join the team.  Marcus emotionally ushers Darius into the locker room.  He stands outside, listening as the other players chant Darius's name.


Phil has come to post bail for Marcus.  (Marcus was jailed for a DUI.)  Marcus is surprised to see his boss.  The last time they interacted, Marcus was thrown out of the game for pushing Phil.  Although grateful to be released from jail, Marcus admits he isn't completely sorry for what he's done.  He still believes his play was the right one and Phil's play was dumb.  Phil: "Do you know why I didn't run the play with Derrick?  His grandmother is in the hospital.  She had a stroke."  Marcus doesn't get it: "I mean, she's old, right?"  Phil: "It shouldn't matter, Marcus!  The woman raised him!  He was upset.  His head wasn't in the game.  But you wouldn't know that, because you don't bother to get to know any of the guys!"  Marcus, defensively: "I know the guys.  I know Jinky can't go to his left, Balanko is strictly catch and shoot - -"  Phil, interrupting: "As people!  Human beings!  Marcus, you know the game better than anybody I have ever played or coached with.  But...you got to learn to build relationships, man."  (Caution: a-word)


After going to court for drunk-driving, Coach Marcus is given 90 days community service to coach a basketball team for people who have learning disabilities. Introducing himself to the team for the first time, the best player refuses to play for Marcus (as he knows the Coach's history).

Coach Marcus walks up to his team to see them looking defeated before the championship game has even begun.  Coach: "What's the problem?  Why are you lookin' so freaked out?"  Johnny: "Coach, the other team is called the Beasts!"  Marlon, practically cowering: "They're the Beasts.  We're the Friends.  Based on our names, I don't like our chances."  Cosentino: "They're friggin' giants!"  Coach Marcus: "Hey, hey, hey, calm down.  We have trained, we have practiced, we are in shape..."  Just then, Marcus looks over at their competition for the first time.  The Beasts live up to their name.  They are bigger and tougher-looking than the Friends.  Marcus, trailing off: "We are in trouble."


It is the final seconds of the championship game.  As per the plan, Darius passes the ball to Johnny, who is set up perfectly for an easy shot.  Just as he is about to win the game, Johnny hears his teammate, Showtime, calling for the ball: "I’m open!  I'm open!"  Instead of making the shot, Johnny throws the ball back down the court to Showtime.  Both coaches are horrified.  Showtime has never made a basket.  In fact, he always feels compelled to shoot backwards, perpetually wide off the mark.  As Marcus screams, "Showtime, no!" the eager player turns away from the basket and tosses the ball over his shoulders.  The ball moves through the air in slow motion, with an operatic aria playing in the background.  Coaches and teammates watch with bated breath as the ball hits the rim, the backboard, the rim again, and, finally, bounces off without going in the basket.  The buzzer rings and both coaches look devastated.  But the players are celebrating.  Marlon: "He hit the rim!  Showtime hit the rim!"  The Friends rally around Showtime and fete him as a conquering hero: "Way to go!  You did it!  We believed in you!"  Marcus can't understand why they would celebrate a loss in the same way as a victory: "But, he missed!"  The players continue celebrating, congratulating the other team for their win.  They are just as happy that Showtime has finally hit the rim than if they had won the championship themselves.  Finally, they call Marcus over to celebrate with them.  Marcus: "Guys, we lost.  We came here to be champions."  Johnny: "But we're already champions, Coach."  He presents Marcus with his own jersey: "This is for you.  Now you're a champion too, Coach."  The "losing" team then begins chant: "Champions!  Champions!  Champions!"


It is half-time during the championship game and the Friends are losing by a lot.  They sit despondently in the locker room, knowing the other team is bigger and tougher than them.  Coach Marcus: "I get it.  These dudes are scary.  But this is your shot at being champions.  And, guess what?  Champions are brave.  That's what it means to be a champion.  You can't be afraid to fail.  You can't be afraid to lose.  You can do it because I know you're brave.  I've seen you.  I've seen you do things that were hard, things that felt impossible."  Coach Marcus goes on to share several examples of ways he has seen the players overcome challenges in their daily lives.  And it is the everyday, ordinary battles that make champions of men.


Sentenced to community service with a basketball team for people who have learning disabilities, Marcus meets one of their best player, Ms. Cosentino, a self-confident, spirited girl!  (*Caution: a**, d-word, h-word*)

After an evening of drinking at the bar, Marcus is driving down a city street when he gets a text from Sonny.  Despite the fact that he is driving, Marcus pulls out his phone and looks at the screen.  He lifts the phone to voice a response and completely blows through a stoplight.  As cars slam on their brakes to avoid hitting him, Marcus still doesn't realize what he's done.  He looks backwards at the honkers: "Relax.  Take a chill pill.  I saw you."  Instead of looking back at the road, Marcus is distracted by the sight of two police officers patting down a couple of suspects.  He chuckles to himself, pitying the perps, but amused at their predicament.  While he is still laughing, Marcus suddenly jerks forward in his seat as his car crashes into something.  He looks at the road for the first time in the whole scene.  He has crashed into the police car parked on the shoulder, its red and blue lights blazing for all who are looking to see.  Marcus looks back in shock at the police officers.  They abandon their search of the two suspects (who give Marcus a thumbs-up sign in gratitude before running off) for the scent of a greater quarry.  (Caution: b-word)


It is the night before the championship game at the Special Olympics and Coach Marcus addresses his team in the lobby of the hotel: "Now, you had a big day and I know you're all tired.  But, tomorrow, we got the gold medal game.  So, I need you to go back to your room and get a good night's rest."  The players all nod compliantly: "Sure thing, Coach.  We'll do it."  Alex is impressed by Marcus's leadership: "Look at you, laying down the law."  Marcus: "They respect me."  Not much later, we see the players running down the hallway of the hotel in their pajamas, whooping and laughing.  They are pulling Cosentino on her water skis, like a pack of dogs running the Iditarod.  Cosentino: "Whoo!  Mush, mush, you filthy dogs!"  Marcus comes out of his hotel room just in time to see the pack fly by.


Cheech Marin

Marcus has brought four of his Special Olympics players to the local neighborhood basketball court to join in a pick-up game.  Benny isn't sure the guys already on the court will want to play with them: "Are we invited to play in the game?"  Marcus, fluent in street etiquette: "No invitation necessary.  You just say, 'We got next.'  That means you play in the next game."  And so, when the current game ends, Benny calls the next game for his team.  But, instead of welcoming the guys onto the court, the head of the losing team announces their team will be playing again.  Marcus walks up to the man to confront him: "Did you hear my man?  We got next."  Man: "Yeah, but we're running it back."  Marcus: "What is this?  Some kind of Jedi mind trick?  You lost.  We got next.  That's how it goes."  Man: "Come on, man."  Marcus: "Come on what?"  Man, looking back at Marcus's team: "You know."  Marcus: "No, I don't know."  Man: "Don't make me say it."  Marcus: "Make you say what?"  Man: "They're retards."  Marcus, gritting his teeth: "That's a boo-boo word."  He punches the guy in the stomach and takes his ball.  Marcus, grinning at his team: "Let's go, fellas!"  The guys eagerly take the court.  And, to the opposing team's surprise, they play well.  Over and over again, they score, block, and defend.  The neighborhood team is kicked to the curb.

When Marlon runs off the court mid-game, Coach Marcus assumes the infamous hypochondriac is over-inflating his injury.  Marlon: "Coach, I think I might have sprained my finger."  Marcus, watching the court over Marlon's shoulder: "I'm sure you'll be fine, Marlon."  Marlon holds up his hand, revealing a pinky finger bent sideways at a 90 degree angle: "This doesn't feel right."  Marcus gasps, trying not to retch: "You're gonna need to see a trainer."  Marlon: "But I want to play.  The team needs me!"  With a grimace, Marlon grabs his finger and yanks it backwards.  A crunching pop accompanies the digit sliding back into its rightful place.  Marlon shakes out his hand: "Good as new!"  He runs back onto the court.
