ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

Mabel looks at the small girl, dirty and unkempt, and feels compassion.  She tries to talk to her while she calculates their bill, but Kya is too shy to give much of a reply.  Mabel can see that the girl is hungry, so she tells her that the school serves wonderful hot lunches.  She encourages the girl from the swamp to go to school where she can make new friends while she's learning.  Kya's eyes perk up at the thought.  But she looks down shamefully at her dirty, bare feet.  Mabel, perceptively: "Plenty of kids go to school with no shoes."  She hands Kya her bag of groceries and her change.  As Kya turns to walk away, she looks down into the bag.  Mabel has put a piece of candy in the bag for her.  She turns around, staring at the woman in amazement.  Mabel smiles tenderly at her.  Kya leaves, looking back once more with eyes hungry for the only compassion she has ever felt in her young life.


Kya, who has spent her life living apart in the swamps, decides she wants to learn.  She fashions a make-shift skirt out of one of her mother's old dresses and walks barefoot into town.  She nearly runs back home when several children jeer at her on the street, but a kind man points her to the schoolhouse, telling her: "You have just as much of a right to be there.  Go along now.  It's all right."  And so the girl, cheered by the man's encouragement, goes to school.  Once there, the teacher makes her stand at the front of the classroom and tests her on how much she knows.  The poor girl, dirty and unkempt, feels every eye on her as she incorrectly spells the word, 'dog.'  The kids laugh at her and mock her as she tries to find a seat.  "Where you been, marsh hen?"  "Where's your hat, swamp rat?"  When she tries to sit in an empty seat next to a boy, he quickly slides over on the bench so she can't sit by him.  Humiliated, Kya sits in the back by herself.  But her classmates continue to fling insults at her.  "She probably lives in the mud."  "Someone's got cooties."  "That stink in the room."  Finally, Kya can stand the laughing and jeering no longer.  She runs out of the classroom and back home to the swamp.  No one follows after her.  Adult Kya, thinking back: "That was the only day I ever spent in school."

Tom stands to give his summation during Kya's murder trial.  He knows the jury is prejudiced against the girl because of the unfounded gossip that has always been spread about her.  Tom, looking at the jurors: "Like you, I heard the tall tales told about the Marsh Girl.  That she was part wolf, a missing link between ape and man, that her eyes glowed in the dark."  He points at the young, shy, sweet girl sitting at the defendant's table: "Well, here she is.  The reality is that she was an abandoned child.  A little girl surviving out there in the marsh, on her own, reviled and shunned."  Tom admits his own part in the guilt of the community in alienating the young girl: "We labelled and rejected her because we thought she was different."  Tom tells the jury they must base their judgment of the girl on facts, not on the gossip they've heard and spread their whole lives.  They must judge on facts and not on feelings.  And the facts against her are few.  Tom goes on to remind the jury of all of the evidence in Kya's favor, including an alibi in another town.  Tom, after outlining the story the prosecution has concocted: "These are not facts.  They are just more of the rumors and tall tales that we have been spreading about Miss Clark her entire life.  It's time, at last, for all of us to be fair to the Marsh Girl."


Little Kya covers her ears as she lies in bed, listening to her father abuse her mother.  The next morning, she watches as her mother walks away with a suitcase, never to return again.  She cries out to her, but the battered woman doesn't turn.  Soon, the rest of the family members will follow.  One-by-one, each abandons her, leaving her alone with her abusive father.  Four out of five leave without a look back at her.  Only her youngest brother, Jodie, stops to think of Kya.  He approaches his little sister, who is weeping silently: "I have to go, Kya.  I can't live here no longer.  You be careful, hear?"  They embrace tearfully, but a sound from inside the house sends the boy running away in fear.  Now Kya is indeed alone.

When Kya shows up early at his store carrying several bags of mussels, Jumpin' is surprised to see the little girl by herself.  She looks at him with pleading eyes, offering the mussels for sale.  Jumpin' agrees to the business deal, but when she asks about future sales, he tells her first come, first serve.  Mabel stares sharply at her husband as he offers the girl no special consideration.  Kya gratefully agrees.  As the girl gathers her purchases, Mabel looks at her compassionately, knowing she's been abandoned to survive on her own in the swamp.  She tells Kya to come back soon because she knows her church has some clothes that would fit her.  After the girl leaves, Jumpin' mildly berates his wife for getting involved: "We oughta be careful, messin' folk business."  Mabel: "It don't say that in the Bible.  'Be careful.'"  Mabel knows God's Word says, in fact, the opposite...that we are to care for the poor and needy: "'And the King shall answer and say unto them, verily I say unto thee, inasmuch as thee have done it unto the least of these, my brethren, ye have done it unto me.'"  Jumpin' smiles, knowing his wife is right.  Mabel, one more time, with emphasis: "Don't say about 'be careful.'"
