ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement!

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

## How We Use Cookies

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

Emmett's killers are on trial for his murder.  Because the defense attorneys have suggested that the decomposing body found in the river doesn't belong to Emmett at all, Mamie must testify to what she has seen of her son's lifeless form.  Mamie: "It's hard to describe what a mother knows.  The first thing I noticed when I became a mother was that my hands were busy, all the time.  Rocking, carrying, swaying, always full.  One hand for him, and one hand for what he needed."  Mamie tells the jury that as her son grew older, she began to know every inch of him like she knew herself: "My hand knew him with my eyes closed."  So, when she had to view her son in the funeral home, she laid her hands on his body.  Mamie, crying: "I remembered him as my fingers traced his hairline and bumped over the crease of his eyelid.  These were the same parts of a boy I'd nurtured and loved.  Nothing and no one could hide him from me.  A mother knows.  And I knew - - I knew - - this was my boy, Emmett Till, beyond any doubt."


Haley Bennett

A man armed with a rifle paces outside the dining room where Mamie and Myrlie are having tea.  (The highly publicized trial of Emmett's murderers has made it dangerous for all involved with the prosecution.)  Myrlie tells Mamie how much she has admired her for her fight against her son's killers.  Mamie: "It's nothing a mother wouldn't do for her child."  Myrlie confesses that although she believes in the civil rights work she and her husband are involved in, the recent lynchings of their friends is causing her a lot of fear.  She knows that she and her family are targets and, with a young son of her own, Myrlie doesn't know what to do: "I don't want my children to have to live in fear."  Mamie: "Emmett just wanted to go on vacation and have fun with his cousins.  He never thought anything would happen to him.  I never raised him to have any fear growing up.  I wanted him to be a boy and to not have his childhood taken away from him.  But it happened anyway."  Mamie reaches out to hold Myrlie's hand, one mother to another: "We do the best we can."

Mamie stands to speak at a Civil Rights rally in Harlem: "I would like to give honor to God, who is the source of my strength and the reason for my being."  Mamie goes on to tell the audience how the injustice of her son's murder and the acquittal of his killers should be the concern of the entire country.  "My son's brutalized body meant nothing to Mississippi's criminal justice system.  If this country fails to protect the black body from hate, America has yet to meet her promise.  Either freedom for everyone, or freedom fails."  Mamie shares that she had been living a life of ease and comfort before her son's murder.  She knew that black people in other parts of the country faced terrible racism, but she brushed it off as no concern of hers.  Mamie: "Now I know how wrong I was.  The lynching of my son has shown me that what happens to any of us, anywhere in the world, had better be the business of us all."  Mamie receives a standing ovation.


Emmett and his cousins are startled from sleep when two men appear in their bedroom with flashlights.  The men approach Emmett and order him to get dressed.  Emmett's uncle tries to stop the men: "You ain't got to do this.  He's just a young boy."  But the armed men ignore him, dragging Emmett out of the room in order to "teach him a lesson."  (The boy had supposedly whistled at a white woman named Carolyn Bryant.)  As the men start to pull Emmett out of the house, Lizzie puts herself between them and the door, begging for Emmett's life: "Don't take him!  We'll give you money!"  But the men push right past her, throwing Emmett in the bed of a truck.  When Moses calls after them, one of the men turns back, cocks a pistol, and points it at Moses's face.  The man backs away, hoping the rest of his family will be spared.  Once inside the truck, the men shine a light on Emmett's face and ask Carolyn to identify him as the boy who "insulted" her.  Carolyn nods and they drive away with Emmett.  Moses and the family watch helplessly as the truck recedes into the darkness.  Emmett is never seen alive again.  (Caution: n-word, gd-word)


Mamie waits at the train station for the arrival of her murdered son's body.  She stares at the train as it pulls into the station.  She sees the coffin being unloaded out of the car and tears fill her eyes.  As she approaches the pine box, she begins to wail aloud: "My boy!  My only child!"  She wraps her arms around the coffin, crying for her son to be taken out of the box so he can breathe again.  As she weeps, she cries aloud out to God: "Oh Lord, have mercy!  Help me!  Show me what you want me to do and make me able to do it!"


Emmett is about to travel south to Mississippi to visit his cousins, and his mother, Mamie, is worried.  Her son has only ever known the northern attitudes toward black people and she is concerned about his safety in the prejudiced South.  Mamie: "They have a different set of rules for Negroes down there.  Are you listening?"  Emmett, a typical teenager, thinks he is fully prepared for anything, but Mamie knows better.  Mamie: "You have to be extra careful with white people.  You can't risk looking at them the wrong way."  Emmett, impatiently: "I know!"  Mamie, solemnly: "Be small down there."
