ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

## How We Use Cookies

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

King Odin retells the story of an ancient battle on Earth in 965 A.D....      "Once, mankind accepted a simple truth, that they were not alone in this universe.  Some worlds man believed to be home to their gods.  Others, they knew to fear.  From the realm of cold and darkness came the Frost Giants, threatening to plunge the mortal world into a new ice age.  But humanity would not face this threat alone..."     Odin and his Asgardian warriors appear and wage an epic war against the icy villains to prevent them from conquering the nine realms, starting with Earth.      "Our armies drove the Frost Giants back into the heart of their own world.  The cost was great.  In the end, their king fell.  And the source of their power was taken from them," referring to the Casket of Ancient Winters.      (Caution: intense and violent scene)

The ceremony for Thor to ascend to the throne of Asgard is cut short when Frost Giants breach the weapons vault to steal the Casket of Ancient Winters.  Later, after Asgard's Destroyer incinerates the intruders quickly, King Odin arrives at the vault with his sons Thor and Loki to inspect the damage...        Thor: "The Jotuns must pay for what they've done!"      Odin: "They have paid, with their lives.  The Destroyer did its work, the Casket is safe, and all is well."       Thor: "All is well?  They broke into the weapons vault!  If the Frost Giants had stolen even one of these relics..."      Odin: "They didn't."        Thor: "Well, I want to know why!"         Odin: "I have a truce with Laufey, King of the Jotuns."       Thor: "He just broke your truce!  They know you are vulnerable!"      Odin: "What action would you take?"        Thor: "March into Jotunheim as you once did.  Teach them a lesson.  Break their spirits so they'll never dare try to cross our borders again."       Odin: "You're thinking only as a warrior..."     Thor: "This was an act of war!"       Odin: "It was the act of but a few, doomed to fail."        Thor: "Look how far they got!"       Odin: "We will find the breach in our defenses and it will be sealed."        Thor: "As King of Asgard..."       Odin: "But you're NOT king!  Not yet."

After Frost Giants break into Asgard's weapons vault, Thor and friends -- disobeying his father King Odin -- visit the planet Jotunheim to confront King Laufey...       Laufey: "You've come a long way to die, Asgardians."       Thor: "I am Thor Odinson!"      Laufey: "We know who you are."     Thor: "How did your people get into Asgard?"      Laufey: "The House of Odin is full of traitors."     Thor: "Do not dishonor my father's name with your lies!"      Laufey: "Your father is a murderer and a thief!  And why have you come here?  To make peace?  You long for battle.  You crave it.  You're nothing but a boy trying to prove himself a man."      Thor: "Well, this 'boy' has grown tired of your mockery."        The Frost Giants begin forming their ice weapons.         Loki (Thor's brother), quietly: "Thor, stop and think.  Look around you, we're outnumbered."      Thor: "Know your place, Brother."       Laufey: "You know not what your actions would unleash.  I do.  Go now, while I still allow it."       Loki to Laufey: "We will accept your most gracious offer," with Thor unhappily frowning and clinching his teeth.  "Come on, Brother."       But as the group turns to leave, a Frost Giant thug standing nearby says: "Run back home, little princess."        Loki: "D---."        Thor, smiling, takes his mighty hammer and smashes the creature into a nearby wall.  Oh, now it's on...      (Caution: "D---" used as profanity)

King Odin rescues his son Thor and friends from the Frost Giant planet, bringing them back to Asgard (see previous Scenes for reasons)...          Thor: "Why did you bring us back?"        Odin: "Do you realize what you've done?  What you've started?"        Thor: "I was protecting my home."      Odin: "You cannot even protect your friends!  How can you hope to protect a kingdom?" as he orders the group to take the mortally wounded Fandral to a healing room.        Thor: "There won't be a kingdom to protect if you're afraid to act.  The Jotuns must learn to fear me, just as they once feared you."       Odin: "That's pride and vanity talking, not leadership.  You've forgotten everything I taught you about a warrior's patience."      Thor: "While you wait and be patient, the Nine Realms laugh at us.  The old ways are done.  You'd stand giving speeches while Asgard falls."         Odin: "You are a vain, greedy, cruel boy!"         Thor: "And you are an old man and a fool!"         Visibly hurt, the King looks down, now knowing what he must do.     Odin: "Yes.  I was a fool... to think you were ready.  ...Thor Odinson, you have betrayed the express command of your king.  Through your arrogance and stupidity, you've opened these peaceful realms and innocent lives to the horror and desolation of war!" as Odin slams down his staff, creating lighting around the chamber.  "You are unworthy of these realms," ripping off pieces of Thor's uniform, "You're unworthy of your title!  You're unworthy!  ...of the loved ones you have betrayed.  I now take from you your power!" as Thor's hammer flies to his hand, "In the name of my father, and his father before, I, Odin Allfather, cast you out!"        A great lightning bolt shoots from the hammer and sends Thor reeling backwards and into a travel-channel, sucking him to Earth...

In a humorous scene, researchers Jane, Darcy and Erik hit someone with their truck out in the middle of the desert.  Running to his side, the group is happy the man 's not dead.  Coming to, Thor (who has just been cast down to Earth from Asgard) jumps to his feet and starts groaning, yelling and asking where his hammer is.       Darcy: "Yeah, we can tell you're hammered.  It's pretty obvious."        Erik demands taking Thor to a hospital.       Jane: "He's fine, look at him."         Thor (yelling to the sky): "Heimdall!  I know you can hear me!  Open the Bifrost!"      Thor then demands to know what realm he's in.   Disturbed by his aggressive behavior, Darcy points a taser gun at him.       Thor: "You dare threaten me, Thor, with so puny a weapon..?"      But he doesn't get to finish as Darcy shoots him -- the shock knocking him senselessly to the ground.    The others look in horror at Darcy.         Darcy: "What?  He was freaking me out!"

In a humorous scene, Thor is discovered in the desert, hit by a car and tasered.  The group who found him then take the fallen god to a hospital to get checked out.        In ER, Thor is about to have blood drawn by a doctor when he irrupts: "How dare you attack the son of Odin?!"      The doctor calls for more help and security, which Thor precedes to punch and throw around the room.  Finally, five men wrestle him up against the door as a doctor quickly injects him with a tranquilizer.      Thor: "You're no match for the Mighty....!"  But before he can finish, the drug takes effect and knocks him out... his face sliding slowly down the glass.

Having had nothing to eat since being banished to Earth with all the confines of morality, Thor is hungry.  The team take him to a small diner where they look in amazement at his appetite...     Thor, after finishing his first cup of coffee ever: "This drink, I like it."          Darcy: "I know.  It's great, right?"        Thor: "Another!" as he smashes the cup into the floor, startling everyone in the diner.         Jane: "Sorry, Izzy (the waitress).  Little accident.  (To Thor)  What was that?"       Thor: "It was delicious.  I want another."       Jane: "Well, you could have just said so."       Thor: "I just did."        Jane: "No, I mean, ask nicely."       Thor: "I meant no disrespect."        Jane: "All right.  Well, no more smashing.  Deal?"         Thor: "You have my word."

Thor infiltrates the government camp in the desert which is protecting and researching a mysterious hammer which fell from the sky (Mjolnir - the hammer which Thor's father Odin cast down along side his son - bound by Odin's oath: "Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor") - the same hammer which was Thor's when he enjoyed the King's favor in Asgard.  Even though he's been banished to Earth for his disobedience, greed and pride, Thor is confident he can easily pull the hammer from the rock it's been cemented in.  After fighting off a small army of soldiers, he finally reaches the hammer.  Smiling with confidence, he reaches down to pull Mjolnir from the earth -- releasing its power to turn him into the god of thunder once again.  However, after straining with all his might over and over, he finally slumps to the muddy ground in defeat -- understanding he's not worthy to wield the powerful hammer... yet.

After the nefarious Loki succeeds in having Thor banished to Earth to be king in his place, Thor's friends gather secretly to rectify the situation...          Fandral (to Volstagg): "Our dearest friend banished, Loki on the throne, Asgard on the brink of war, yet you've managed to consume four wild boar, six pheasant, a side of beef, and two casks of ale.  Shame on you.  Don't you care?" as he knocks food from Volstagg's hand.         Volstagg (angrily): "Do not mistake my appetite for apathy!"        Lady Sif: "Stop it, both of you!  We all know what we have to do."        Hogun: "We must go.  We must find Thor."       Fandral: "It's treason."       Volstagg: "To h--- with treason, it's suicide."        Sif: "Thor would do the same for us."         Volstagg (quietly): "Now shush.  Heimdall might be watching (the all-seeing and all-hearing guardian sentry of Asgard who stands on the rainbow bridge to watch for any attacks - one of the most trusted servants of King Odin)."     At that moment, a servant enters the room and declares: "Heimdall demands your presence."           Volstagg: "We're doomed."           Later with the guardian at the transport chamber...       Heimdall: "You would defy the commands of Loki, our king, break every oath you have taken as warriors, and commit treason to bring Thor back?"         Sif: "Yes."        Heimdall: "Good."        Sif: "So, you'll help us?"         Heimdall (walking out of the chamber): "I am bound by honor to our king.  I cannot open the bridge to you."           Fandral: "Complicated fellow, isn't he?"        Volstagg: "Now what do we do?"     But at that moment, Heimdall's sword for transportation -- which he purposely left to travel and retrieve Thor with -- begins to explode with lightening...        (Caution: "Hell" used mildly as profanity)

Thor -- exiled to Earth for his disobediance, arrogance, and lust for war -- has finally grown up, as he offers his life for his friends...       Thor (to the Destroyer, sent to Earth by his evil brother Loki, to kill him and friends and destroy the town): "Brother, whatever I have done to wrong you, whatever I have done to lead you to do this, I am truly sorry," as Loki listens through the Destoyer from Asgard, "But these people are innocent.  Taking their lives will gain you nothing.  So take mine and end this."        The Destroyer turns to walk away, but suddenly backhands Thor across the street -- mortally wounding him.       Jane runs to his side.      Thor: "It's over."       Jane (crying): "No.  It's not over."       Thor: "I mean, you're safe."       Thor breathes his last breath as his friends look on in shock and the Destroyer walks away.  Meanwhile in Asgard, his father (who is in a coma), sheds a tear down his cheek.  Miles away, Thor's hammer (which is cemented in rock, waiting for Odin's oath to be fulfilled: "Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor") begins to shake, break free of the rock, and rocket into the sky!  It flies into Thor's hand, reviviing him, while drawing thunder and lightning from above -- restoring Thor to his power and identiy as the god of thunder!  The Destroyer turns and fights it out with Thor... ending with Thor's victory.
