ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

Gonna check this off the ol' bucket list, huh?"  Sonic: "What's a bucket list?"  Tom: "It's a list of things you want to do in your life before you, well, kick the bucket."  Sonic, excitedly: "I've never kicked a bucket either!  Oh, I gotta make my list!"  Swiping a notepad from a nearby waitress, Sonic begins to furiously write.  Suddenly, he stops, looking saddened.  Tom: "What's the matter?"  Sonic, his voice full of newfound regret: "There's so much stuff I've never done.  And, now that I'm leaving Earth forever, I guess I missed my chance."  Tom reluctantly agrees to spend an hour helping Sonic fulfill his list.  The two start of by line-dancing, then move on to darts and basketball.  Sonic checks off "compete in a sport"  and "do a slam dunk" from his list.  After riding a mechanical bull, Sonic is able to check off "tame a wild animal."

An other-worldly electrical surge of mammoth proportions has just knocked the power out of the entire town and its surrounding area.  Inside the sheriff's office, Wade stares at the phone, paralyzed by indecision.  The lights on every line are flashing as terrified citizens from around the district are calling the police to report the incident.  Instead of answering the 9-1-1 calls, Wade calls his boss, Tom.  When Tom answers, Wade nervously asks: "What is going on?"  Tom, lightly: "Well, gosh, I think the power's out."  Wade, not amused: "The whole town is freaking out!  What should I do?"  (Meanwhile, the phone lines continue to be full and the air is filled with the sound of ringing.)  Tom, calmly: "Okay, relax.  Take a deep breath."  Tom tells Wade to call in for a repairman (Zim) to check out the downed line, and then to call in a generator (from Gil) for the local grocery store.  Wade, confused: "Call Zim before Gil?  Call Gil?  Hello?"  Tom gets distracted and hangs up the phone.  Wade, freaking out: "Wait!  Is that the end of the instructions?"  Wade, realizing he's talking to a dead line, reluctantly hangs up the phone and gives himself a pep talk: "You can do this."  He racks his brain, trying to remember Tom's instructions: "What was the first thing he said to do?"  Suddenly, light dawns in Wade's eyes as he remembers Tom's first comment: "Right!  Relax."  Wade leans back in his chair, puts his chin in his hands in an assumed relaxing position, and stares at the blaring phone without making any calls.

Dr. Robotnik is chasing Tom and Sonic, who are attempting to elude him in Tom's pickup truck.  Suddenly, a tiny drone sent by Robotnik appears outside their window.  Sonic, spotting it, grins: "Awww.  This one is cute!  Let's keep him."  Abruptly, the "cute" drone begins to fire a laser torch at the vehicle, sawing it's way around the entire top.  Sonic, surprised: "How could something so adorable be so terrible?"  The two scream in horror as the drone finishes sawing around the perimeter and the entire top of their truck flies away, leaving them with a pickup convertible.  The drone again flies up to what used to be the window, and the now-wary Sonic grabs it, tearing off its wings: "Buzz off!"  But, when he tries to throw the drone away, he finds it is stuck to his fur.  The drone begins to beep ominously, like a bomb and, still, Sonic can't be rid of it.  Tom pulls over on the side of the road so they can concentrate on removing it before it explodes.  But, no matter what they try, the drone will not leave them.  Finally, Sonic is able to pry it off his hand.  He grins, walking slowly away from it, lulled into a false sense of security by his success: "Nailed it!"  The drone explodes in a blast neither of them anticipated from a device of its diminutive size.  Both are thrown to the ground.


Sonic, Tom and Maddie flee the evil Robotnik and arrive at the roof of San Francisco’s Transamerica Pyramid. In hot pursuit, Robotnik arrives in a hovercraft and attacks them, “The time for talking is over! It’s time to push buttons!” Trapped, and desperate to save his friends, Sonic pushes Tom and Maddie off the tower (who will safely land in one of Sonic’s portal rings). Robotnik, “I was not expecting that.”

Sonic arrives at the baseball field just in time to watch the final minutes of the playoffs.  From his hiding place in the woods, Sonic sees the last great hit of the game, the homerun that brings victory to the home team.  He smiles as the batter is hoisted onto the shoulders of his teammates and given celebratory high-fives by everyone around him.  Later that night, when the field is dark and everyone is gone, Sonic ventures out onto the field for a game of his own.  Because he's by himself, Sonic plays every position.  However, his ability to run over 300 mph makes it an entertaining game to watch.  Enthusiastically, he steps up to the plate, preparing to hit a pitch from himself.  He is also his own announcer: "Bottom of the ninth, tie score.  And exactly who you want at the plate with the game on the line: Sonic!  But, staring him down from the pitcher's mound is the most fearsome southpaw in Green Hills: also Sonic!"  Remembering the fanfare he witnessed earlier at the real game, Sonic tells himself that if he makes the hit to win the game, he will "be the most beloved kid in Green Hills."  After he hits the pitch from himself into the air, Sonic races from position to position with his super-speed.  A blue blur, he moves from runner to fielder to umpire to catcher until, finally, Sonic slides into home safely just before Sonic catches the ball and tags the base.  He begins to cheer for himself, speaking to an imaginary crowd: "Yes, yes, yes, I did it!  Did you see that?  I did it!"  He lifts a hand in the air to receive high-fives from his team, just as he had seen earlier in the day.  But, when nobody comes to slap his hand, he suddenly remembers that he is by himself.  He hangs his head sadly: "I really am alone.  All alone.  Forever."

Risking his own life, Tom has just tried to save Sonic from the evil Dr. Robotnik.  Robotnik, taunting the injured Tom: "Why?  Why would you throw your life away for this…thing?"  He gestures at Sonic, who is unconscious and presumed dead.  Dr. Robotnik, getting lost in his own aside: "That's why I don't have friends.  Next thing you know, you're somebody's best man, they wanna have the wedding out of town.  Like nobody has anything better to do!"  Robotnik snaps himself out of his isolationist reverie: "Where were we?  Oh, yes.  you were about to die."  But, before Robotnik can hurt Tom, a group of townspeople line up in front of him.  Wade pointing his gun at Robotnik: "That's our sheriff you're messing with!"  Crazy Carl, armed with a chainsaw, stands beside Wade, ready to defend Sonic and Tom.  Others join them, ready to put their own lives on the line for their friends.  Tom looks back at the prone Sonic, fearing they may be too late to help him.  There is no sign of life.  Robotnik, tauntingly: "Someone should get some ice.  Keep the body fresh.  He's just a silly little alien.  He didn't belong here!"  Tom, furious for his friend's sake: "That little alien knew more about being human than you ever will.  His name was Sonic.  This was his home.  And he was my friend."  Tom's words have a rejuvenating effect on Sonic's lifeless form.  Hearing that he was loved, Sonic's eyes snap open and he stands up, filled with an electric-blue current of energy and ready to face down his enemy with the support of his community.


Sonic and Tom are enjoying themselves in a country-music bar when three enormous thugs approach their table: "We don't like your kind around here."  Sonic: "Our kind?  What kind is that?"  Lead thug, dripping with disgust: "Hipsters."  Tom tries to placate the men by offering to leave, but Sonic stands up and whacks the guy on the head with a bottle.  This, of course, only angers the thug, who throws a punch at Sonic, hitting Tom instead.  A fight ensues, drawing in the entire bar.  When the original, now very angry, thug leaps at Sonic, the little alien slows down time so he can take care of the situation.  (Sonic has the ability of super-speed, which allows him to slow down time almost to a stand-still.)  Everyone and everything in the bar suddenly slows almost to a stop.  Taking advantage of the time-freeze, Sonic makes his way around the room, which is filled with people frozen like statues in mid-movement.  Seeing that Tom was about to be hit by another thug, Sonic maneuvers the scene so that Tom will win the fight.  Tackling the thugs first, Sonic pulls down the hat of one to cover his eyes while giving the other a wedgie, attaching his underpants to a light fixture.  He then moves Tom out of harm's way.  Moving on to the rest of the room, Sonic arranges each scene to his liking while the people involved are helplessly frozen in time.  Finally, when everything is just right, Sonic resumes normal-speed.  In about two-seconds worth of time, everyone in the bar, except Tom, falls to the ground, a victim of Sonic's machinations.  Tom stares in shock at the room now littered with groaning people.
