ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

Slipping into a daydream, Walter pictures the ceiling of the office caving-in to expose rugged, alpine mountains.  He sees himself, dressed in climbing gear and sporting long, model-like hair.  His manly face stubble is coated with ice from the mountain and the blueness of his eyes sparkles against the white backdrop.  Speaking softly and with a Latin accent, daydream Walter introduces himself to Cheryl, who is, of course, transfixed by daydream Walter's manliness.  Cheryl: "Where have you been?"  Walter, smoothly: "Testing the limits of the human spirit."  Cheryl eyes Walter's luxurious locks: "I'd like to climb your hair, test that out."  Daydream Walter, holding up a bird: "Perhaps I can contact you, possibly through my poetry falcon."  He lifts his arm, sending the wild bird screeching back to the craggy cliffs.  Back in reality, a group of executives has gathered behind Walter.  The men are laughing at Walter's frozen stare and finally decide to throw a paper clip at his back.  Walter flinches as the clip hits him.  Cheryl watches pityingly as Walter heads toward his office in the wake of cruel laughter.


Walter heaves a heavy sigh and opens his laptop.  Browsing to the online dating profile of a woman named Cheryl, he scans her dating preferences.  Cheryl's perfect man:  adventurous, brave, creative, or simply employed.  He looks over her likes and dislikes and pauses at the information that she has a dog and a child.  He looks again at her pretty picture and moves the mouse to the "Send A Wink" icon.  His finger hovers over the button as he struggles to make the first move.  He sighs again, trying to work up the courage he needs to pursue the match.  He stands up abruptly, pacing the room, before finally returning to the computer.  He reaches out a finger and presses the button, taking a large step backward as if to avoid a coming explosion.  After a second or two, the computer registers an error message: "Unable to perform request."  Walter clicks the wink button again and again, receiving the same error each time.  Finally, he closes the computer in frustration.


Walter and Sean are in the wilds of Afghanistan on an isolated mountaintop that few people will ever see.  Sean, an acclaimed photographer, has traveled thousands of miles to photograph the elusive snow leopard.  Shushing Walter, he pulls the man toward his camera to see the beautiful animal that has just revealed itself across the ravine.  Awed, Walter stares at the creature for a few moments before relinquishing the camera to Sean.  Sean, smiling, just watches the leopard, enjoying its beauty and grace.  Walter, knowing how much trouble Sean has taken to get the opportunity for this photograph, asks when he is going to take the picture.  Sean, still looking at the leopard: "Sometimes I don't.  If I like a moment...I mean me, personally...I don't like to have the distraction of the camera.  I just want to stay...in it."  Walter, amazed: "Stay in it?"  Sean: "Yeah.  Right there.  Right here."  He smiles at Walter.  Looking back at the leopard, he sees it move away: "It's gone."  He never takes the picture.


Walter has inadvertently jumped into the freezing waters of the Arctic Ocean (see clip # CV07298).  Frantically treading water, he screams for help to the seamen on the nearby boat.  The captain calls to him over a megaphone: "Try to remain calm.  The pontoon boat is coming for you.  You have at least a minute before you freeze.  You're safe."  Walter, understandably, is hardly reassured, particularly when he sees a triangular fin headed toward him in the water.  He calls out to the ship's captain, who tells him not to worry: "We are traveling through a porpoise school.  Don't fear the porpoise."  Walter: "I don't think it's a porpoise!"  Captain, dismissively: "I'm telling you, it's a porpoise.  Be friendly.  It will protect you from the sharks."  Walter, deciding to trust the captain's more experienced judgment, coos coaxingly at the approaching fin.  Suddenly, the creature leaps out of the water, baring rows of sharp teeth in Walter's face.  Captain: "Okay, that's a shark."  Walter whacks the shark with his briefcase.  Captain, urgently: "Stop befriending it!  Kill it!"  Walter: "It's not a porpoise!  It's not a porpoise!"  Walter is dragged into the safety of the pontoon just as the shark makes a final lunge, bouncing off the rubbery sides of the boat.  (Caution: Jesus's name used in vain)


A helicopter pilot is flying Walter out to a boat in the Arctic Ocean, where he hopes he can contact a business associate.  As the helicopter hovers over the cold, choppy waves, Walter asks where they are going to land.  Pilot: "We don't land."  Giving him a package to deliver to the boat's captain, he tells the frightened Walter that he is going to have to jump into the boat from the moving helicopter.  Meanwhile, a small motorboat has taken off from the larger boat and is pulling alongside the helicopter.  Walter, distracted by his fear, doesn't notice the little boat.  Pilot: "Just jump in the boat!"  Walter, uncertainly: "Just jump in the boat?"  Pilot: "Yeah."  Walter, incredulous: "What do you mean, 'jump into the boat?'  It looks far away!"  Walter stares out at the distance between himself and the large boat, never seeing the small dinghy on the other side of the helicopter.  Pilot, not realizing Walter hasn't seen the little boat: "Yeah, but you've gotta go now!  Go, go, go, go, go, go!"  Obediently, Walter takes his briefcase and the package and jumps toward the large boat, missing it by a mile and landing in the freezing waters of the Arctic Ocean.  Pilot, screaming uselessly: "No!  No, no, no, Walter!  I meant the other boat, the little boat!"  


Walter is having a beer with the local helicopter pilot and has told him that he needs to contact a man on a nearby vessel that's out to sea.  The pilot tells Walter he's about to fly out to the ship and offers to take Walter along.  Walter stares at him, watching as his eyes repeatedly close as if he's fighting sleep.  The giant boot-shaped beer glass in front of him is nearly empty.  Walter considers his offer, then suggests trying to phone the ship.  When the pilot tells him the ship-to-shore phone is broken, Walter considers again: "You're flying out right now?"  Pilot, tipping the glass of beer into his mouth: "Just gonna finish my beer."  Walter, hesitantly: "The weather doesn't look so great."  Pilot: "It's not."  Walter, slightly incredulously: "You're just gonna finish your beer and fly a machine?"  Pilot, slurring a bit: "Yeah, I'm kind nervous about the storm.  I just wanna get a coup...a couple of beers down."  Walter, knowing the pilot is his only chance of contacting the photographer, decides safety is more important: "Okay, I'm not gonna go with you."  The pilot stumbles away from the table toward his helicopter.

Walter is on the phone with his online dating representative, trying to figure out why he is unable to contact his chosen match.  Todd, the rep, quickly ascertains the reason for Walter's problem.  Having accomplished little in life and travelled even less, Walter had skipped the profile questions that were essential in placing him with a match.  Walter: "I haven't really been anywhere noteworthy or mentionable."  Todd: "Have you done anything noteworthy, mentionable?"  At that moment, Walter drifts into his favorite pastime...daydreaming of bold and daring achievements he'd never have the courage to risk in real life.  The sound of a barking dog sends daydream Walter leaping off the train bench and jumping several stories off a concrete barrier to smash through an apartment complex window.  A second later, daydream Walter is herding the terrified occupants of the building outside while he cradles a three-legged dog in his arms.  Daydream Walter, yelling: "Get out!  She's gonna blow!"  A second later, the building explodes in flames, but everyone is safe due to Walter's heroic actions.  The pretty dog owner, Walter's crush, runs up to him to reclaim her pooch.  Cheryl, awed: "How'd you know about the building?"  Walter, matter-of-factly: "I heard barking, thought I smelled gas."  Casually, Walter pulls a complex robotic dog leg out of his coat pocket: "Oh, I hope it's okay.  I engineered a prosthesis for Chips while I was sprinting down the stairwell."  Cheryl is impressed and tells daydream Walter that he's everything she wants in a man.  Suddenly, Walter is knocked out of his daydream by Todd's voice: "Hey, my man, you still there?"  Walter wakes to the cold realization that his train has left and he is going to be late for work.
