ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

Shaw is asleep and dreaming of a memory from her childhood.  As a young girl in a foreign country, she watched a funeral procession march alongside her father's archaeological site.  Concerned to see a body being carried on a litter, she questions her father: "What happened to that man?"  Father, barely looking up from his work: "He died."  Shaw: "Why aren't you helping them?"  Father: "They don't want my help.  Their God is different than ours."  Shaw: "Why did he die?"  Father: "Sooner or later, everyone does."  Shaw: "Like Mummy?"  Father, looking up at his daughter: "Like Mummy."  Shaw: "Where do they go?"  Father, shaking his head slightly, although wearing a gold cross around his neck: "Everyone has their own word.  Heaven.  Paradise.  Whatever it's called, it's someplace beautiful."  Shaw: "How do you know it's beautiful?"  Father: "Because that's what I choose to believe."

Wealthy businessman Peter Wayland has assembled a team of scientists to explore a world deep in outer space, in the hopes of finding the meaning of life.  He addresses his employees in the form of a hologram: "There's a man sitting with you today.  His name is David.  And he is the closest thing to a son I will ever have.  Unfortunately, he is not human.  He will never grow old, and he will never die.  Yet he is unable to appreciate these remarkable gifts, for that would require the one thing that David will never have - - a soul.  I have spent my entire lifetime contemplating the questions:  Where do we come from?  What is our purpose?  What happens when we die?"  Wayland informs his team that two scientists have promised to answer those questions for him, and so they will be in charge of the entire mission.

Scientists Elizabeth and Charlie are explaining to their team the reasons behind their mission into deep space.  Charlie shows the scientists images of ancient paintings, all depicting humans worshipping giant figures and pointing to a constellation in the sky.  Elizabeth and Charlie believe the paintings are a message telling humans of their creators.  When Elizabeth tells the assembled scientists that she believes humans were created by aliens from this distant constellation, she is met with much skepticism.  Millburn: "Do you have anything to back that up?  Look, if you're willing to discount three centuries of Darwinism, that's...whoooo...but how do you know?"  Elizabeth: "I don't.  but it's what I choose to believe."  (Caution: s-word used)

A team of scientists from the spaceship Prometheus have been sent to explore an alien planet.  Hearing from personnel on the ship that a gigantic storm is headed for them, the scientists climb into their dune buggies to make the trek back to the ship.  Voice over the radio: "Prometheus to ground crew.  You're running out of time!  I repeat, you're running out of time!"  A huge storm cloud is quickly approaching, swallowing up what remains visible of the sky.  An aerial view shows the buggies racing toward the safety of the ship, the great cloud obliterating everything behind them.  Sharp bits of silica from inside the cloud fly everywhere, as big a danger as the storm itself.  As the scientists enter the harbor of the ship with only moments to spare, a sample bag containing alien remains falls from one of the buggies onto the ground outside the ship.  One of the scientists runs to retrieve it, ignoring the warning of her colleague.  As she reaches the bag, she is hit full-blast by the wave of silica and debris from the storm cloud.

David approaches Charlie, knowing the scientist is disappointed at the failure of his mission to meet the creators of mankind.  Charlie, looking up at David: "You think we wasted our time coming here, don't you?"  David thinks for a moment: "Your question depends on me understanding what you hoped to achieve by coming here."  Charlie: "What we hoped to achieve was to meet our makers.  To get answers.  Why they even made us in the first place."  David, who is an android, asks thoughtfully: "Why do you think your people made me?"  Charlie, shrugging: "We made you 'cause we could."  David, feeling his life robbed of meaning by that shallow answer: "Can you imagine how disappointing it would be for you to hear the same thing from your creator?"

Elizabeth and Charlie, scientists searching out the origins of life, believe they have found the answer.  Charlie: "This is the most significant discovery in the history of mankind."  Charlie is excited, but disappointed they didn't get to meet their creators: "I wanted to talk to them.  Don't you want to know why they came?  Why they abandoned us?  I just want answers, baby."  Elizabeth excitedly shows Charlie her latest research, "proving" that humans were created by aliens from another planet.  Charlie, gesturing to the chain around Elizabeth's neck: "Guess you can take your father's cross off now."  Elizabeth: "Why would I want to do that?"  Charlie: "Because they (the aliens) made us."  Elizabeth, retorting: "And who made them?"  Charlie: "Well, exactly.  We'll never know.  But here's what we do know:  that there is nothing special about the creation of life.  Right?  Anybody can do it.  I mean, all you need is a dash of DNA and half a brain, right?"

Elizabeth has just discovered that Peter Weyland, the financial sponsor of her mission to deep space, has secretly accompanied them on the journey.  She is stunned, believing the extremely elderly man to have died:  "You were on the ship all this time.  Why?"  Peter, while employees bathe his gnarled feet: "Well, I have a few days of life left in me.  I didn't want to waste them until I was sure that you could deliver what you promised...to meet my maker."  David tells Elizabeth that they are about to go meet the last known remaining member of the alien race that created mankind.  Peter, addressing Elizabeth: "You convinced me that, if these things made us, then surely they could save us."  Peter, about to begin the slow and painful process of raising his decrepit body from his wheelchair: "Well, save me anyway."  Elizabeth: "Save you from what?"  Peter: "Death, of course."
