ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

The sun has almost set, and Ian looks sadly at his to-do list of memorable events he had hoped to experience with his dad.  He begins to cross them out, one-by-one, knowing that, with only a few minutes left before the magical spell sends their dad back to the afterlife, he will never get to finish them.  He crosses off "take a walk," "heart-to-heart," and "laugh together."  He stops at "driving lesson."  Thinking back over the past day spent with his older brother, Ian realizes that Barley gave him a driving lesson, enabling him to conquer his long-held fear of freeway merges.  Ian looks back at the first item on the list, "play catch."  In his mind's eye, he sees himself and Barley, earlier that day, tossing around a magical ball.  Memories begin to flood Ian's mind and he begins to realize that everything he has been longing to do with his deceased dad he has already done with his brother.  It was Barley who taught him to swim when they were kids.  it was Barley who helped him ride his bike for the first time.  It was Barley who encouraged him to chase his dreams.  Ian, his eyes wide with sudden understanding, checks the last item off his list as complete: "Spend my life with him."  He realizes with a tender smile that Barley, his brother, has given him everything a father ever could.


When the Drivers' Ed instructor asks for a volunteer to take the first road test, Ian boldly raises his hand.  But, when the instructor tells him to take the on-ramp to the freeway, Ian's confidence begins to fade.  Ian, weakly, looking up at the overpass that is jammed with high-speed traffic: "I'm, uh, super ready for that."  He pulls onto the on-ramp and looks for an opening in traffic.  The cars seem to whiz by him without a break: "It's nice and fast."  Instructor, looking at her clipboard: "Just merge into traffic."  Ian, nervously: "Yep, just any minute."  The instructor repeats her order several times.  Ian begins to merge, but jerks the wheel back, changing his mind: "I'm not ready!"  Instructor, sighing: "Pull over."  Ian, disappointed at his failure, leaves the freeway.

Ian, spotting a group of cool kids at his school, nervously practices greeting them.  He writes down his main points on his hand, thinking that if he can just come up with the right words, they will like him.  Finally, he bites the bullet and approaches them: "What's up, gang!"  A girl smiles back: "Ian, right?"  Ian, blown away that she knows his name, looks down at his hand for his notes.  They have been smudged by his nervous sweat.  Awkwardly, Ian tries to invite them to his birthday party: "If you like parties, then, um, I was going to do a party.  If you're not doing anything tonight, but I'm sure you probably are doing something tonight, and you like cake like I like cake...I've got a cake at my house."  Girl: "Are you inviting us to a party?"  Ian, relieved that she could interpret his meaning: "That's the one."  The kids agree to come to the party, but before they can get on the bus, Ian's brother Barley arrives in his beat-up van.  A fan of medieval lore, Barley sports a Viking helmet, chain mail, and a cape.  Oblivious to his brother's embarrassment, Barley offers the kids a ride, bending over to fix his broken bumper.  Ian is horrified when Barley's pants slip down an inch or two, revealing a bit of his backside to the teens.  Humiliated, Ian puts a hand to his head, not realizing that the ink from his hand has moved to his face until one of the teens points it out: "You've got something on your face."  Ian, now paralyzed by social awkwardness, retracts his earlier invitation: "You know what?  I just remembered that my birthday is cancelled.  I gotta go."  (Caution: slight view of man's backside)


Ian and Barley eagerly open the package their deceased father left them for Ian's 16th birthday.  Inside is a wizard's staff, a magical stone, and a letter.  Ian reads the letter aloud, in which their father tells them that the world used to be full of magic.  Wilden's words explain that, before he died, he wrote a magical spell that would enable him to return to life for one day.  Barley excitedly takes the staff and inserts the magical stone.  In a voice filled with awe, he speaks the words of the enchantment: "Only once is all we get, grant me this rebirth.  Till tomorrow's sun has set, one day to walk the earth!"  He strikes the staff dramatically against the floor.  Nothing happens.  Barley, adjusting his hold on the staff: "Hold on.  I was just grippin' it wrong."  He repeats the spell.  Nothing happens.  Over and over again, Barley chants the spell.  He tries different voices, new stances, alternative ways of striking the staff.  But his father never appears.  Ian and his mom watch, their disappointment growing.  Finally, Mom decides to stop the proceedings.  Mom, gently: "Barley.  I'm sorry you guys don't have your dad here.  This shows just how much he wanted to see you both.  So much that he'd try anything.  That's still a pretty special gift."  Barley leaves the room, looking crushed.


When Barney and Ian arrive at the Manticore's lair, they are surprised to find that the mythical beast is now the manager of a cheesy theme restaurant.  Instead of a brave guardian of adventure, they find a harassed matron, trading on her manticore brand for advertising kitsch.  Ian, disappointed: "That's the manticore?"  They look around the room, seeing waiters in wizard costumes delivering greasy food to demanding patrons.  Barley, interrupting "Corey" as she reprimands a server for being late: "Your fearlessness?  My brother and I seek a map to the Phoenix Gem."  Corey hands him a kid's menu designed to look like a map: "I have your parchment right here.  The great Manticore sends you on your adventure with a hero's blessing...and here's some crayons."  Barley: "Might you have the real map?"  Corey points at the wall, where the map is hanging as a decoration, but when the boys try to take it, she objects: "My days of sending people on dangerous quests are over."  Barley: "Why?"  Corey: "Because they're dangerous."  She leaves them to attempt to fix her broken karaoke machine.  But Ian follows her, begging for her help with their quest.  Manticore, fiddling with the machine while fending off an angry bridesmaid: "If you get hurt on one of my quests, guess who gets sued and loses her tavern?  I can't take that kind of risk."  Ian, passionately: "You say you can't risk losing this place.  Look at that Manticore, she looks like she lived to take risks!"  Ian points up at a portrait of the Manticore as she used to be, a winged lion with a scorpion's tail, holding a mighty sword.  Corey: "That Manticore didn't have investors to look out for.  She didn't have payroll to cover.  She could just fly out the door whenever she wanted and slay a magma beast!  Okay, maybe this place isn't as adventurous as it used to be.  But so what?  Whoever said you have to take risks in life to have an adventure?"  Ian, pointing at an printed motto hanging above the portrait: "Apparently, you did."  The motto reads: "You have to take risks in life to have an adventure - - The Manticore."


Seeking a map to the gem, the brothers visit the Manticore's Tavern with Wilden in tow. The tavern, once a gathering place for would-be adventurers, is now a family restaurant managed by the Manticore.

Barley and Ian have come to a large canyon and realize that the drawbridge lever is on the other side.  Barley tells Ian he can cast a spell for a Trust Bridge, a magical bridge that will enable them to walk across and pull the lever.  Ian holds up his staff and speaks the words of the spell, but is disappointed when he doesn't see anything happen.  But Barley explains why it's called a Trust Bridge: "You won't know if your bridge worked until you step on it."  Ian, looking down into the vast emptiness: "Step on what?"  Barley: "If you believe the bridge is there, then it's there."  Ian: "But it's not!"  Barley: "Well, not with that attitude."  Ian, terrified: "I'm not gonna step out onto nothing!"  To make his brother feel better about the leap of faith, Barley ties a rope around a tree and knots the other end around Ian's waist.  Ian, swallowing nervously, takes a step out over the expanse...and drops like a log.  Quickly, Barley grabs the rope and hauls him back up before he strikes the canyon floor.  Barley, brightly: "Was that so bad?"  Ian, shaking: "Yes!"  Barley: "Okay, so now you know the worst that can happen, so there's nothing to be scared of, right?"  Ian again speaks the spell and steps out.  This time, his foot lands on an invisible barrier.  He grins, taking another step, but the next foothold isn't there and Ian begins to fall.  Barley yanks the rope, advising: "Believe with EVERY step!"  Soon, Ian is halfway across the canyon and actually enjoying the experience.  He is so absorbed in it that he doesn't realize when the rope slips off his waist.  Barley watches in terror as the oblivious Ian begins to do little tricks, overconfident in his ignorance.  Just as Ian is about to take the final step, he looks backward and sees that the rope is gone.  With a "pop," the magic of the staff disappears and Ian drops.  Grabbing onto the rock ledge, he lifts himself up safely and pulls the lever for the bridge.  When Barley crosses to meet him, Ian expresses his terror at his near-death experience: "I needed that rope!"  Barley, meaningfully: "Oh?  But did you?"


When the van runs out of gas, Barley decides that Ian should make more using a magical spell.  Pulling out his spell book, Barley shows Ian the instructions for a growth spell, thinking that if they grow their gas can, the tiny bit of gas inside will grow with it.  But the spell is difficult, and Barley tells Ian that, in order to make the spell work, he must focus absolutely: "To magnify an object, magnify your attention upon it.  While you cast the spell, you can't let anything distract you."  Ian stands in front of the can and lifts the magical staff.  Ian, crying out in pain: "Ow!  Splinter!"  He takes a deep breath, trying again: "Here we go.  Focus."  Barley, interrupting: "Uh..."  Ian: "Something wrong?"  Barley, telling Ian that his stance is all wrong, adjusts various body parts into a dramatic, but awkward position: "How's that feel?"  Ian, all his attention now on maintaining the impossible stance, weakly: "Great."  But Barley spots another tiny adjustment or two.  Ian, getting irritated, tries again to maintain focus.  He voices the spell and a blue light begins to emanate from the staff.  The gas can begins to grow.  But Barley continues to interrupt with minute, seemingly unimportant directions.  Ian: "I'm trying to focus here!"  Barley stops trying to change Ian's position, and instead begins to loudly and annoyingly chant: "Focus!  Focus!"  Finally, Ian realizes all hope for focusing is gone and lowers his staff.  The gas can is back to its original size.  A tiny voice from Ian's ankle cries joyfully: "It worked!  The can is huge!  And the van is huge!  And you're...Uh oh."  A miniature Barley realizes that the spell has gone horribly wrong.
