ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement!

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

I'm the leader, obvs."  Lucy, scornfully: "You?  I don't think so."  Batman, crossing his arms: "How many movies have they made about you?  Because there are, like, nine about me."  MetalBeard joins the group of prospective leaders: "If ye be considered a leader, then why aren't we?"  Unikitty pushes her way to the front: "I'm a princess, what about me?"  Suddenly, the room is filled with angry voices, as a dozen or so people all argue that they should be the leader of the group.  Emmet walks forward, quieting the crowd: "Wait a minute.  When everyone became the Special, didn't we all become leaders?"  General Mayhem, analyzing Emmet with her helmet computer: "No offence, I sense no leadership qualities from you.  My readout confirms you to be soft, fragile, and a less than worthy opponent."  The computer spits out the following assessment of Emmet's personality: "Weak, naive, simple, powerless, less than Special."

Emmet, on a mission to save his friends, pilots his spaceship into deep space.  A lighted door appears ahead: "It's the portal to dimensions unknown.  The Stairgate."  Emmet, nervously talking to himself: "I'll just push through the Stairgate.  Seems simple enough."  As Emmet's ship moves into the portal, it sends him on a journey both perilous and frightening, ending with Emmet trapped in an asteroid belt.  At first, he tries to maintain his confidence: "I can do this!"  But, when his waffle torpedoes slide harmlessly off the asteroids, Emmet's terror overcomes him.  Asteroids begin to strike the ship: "I can't do this!"  Finally, an enormous asteroid looms on the horizon, certain to destroy Emmet.  He screams: "This is the end!"  Just then, a man in a spacesuit and a jet pack appears.  Using only his fist, he blasts through the asteroid, sending pieces of it flying in all directions.  Emmet, amazed: "Who was that?"  The man appears next to him in the ship: "Hey.  You mind if I save your life?"  Emmet, relieved: "Not at all!"  Mysterious savior: "Rad."  Expertly piloting the ship over, under, and around the asteroids, the mystery man brings Emmet safely to the other side of space: "And that's how you break on through to the other side...of the Stairgate."


The wind whistles through a scene of abandoned destruction.  A metropolis lies in ruins, its buildings crumbling and a choking dust covering its landscape.  Lucy describes how, when their city was destroyed, the inhabitants abandoned their former way of life and adopted a "grittier" existence.  They built a new town out of the rubble, naming it Apocalypseburg, and it was a "heckish place to live."  Lucy: "Show weakness, and you'll be eaten alive."  A walk through the town shows citizens decked in leather and chains and wearing fierce scowls.  Fights break out over petty disagreements, and everyone seems out for their own survival.  Lucy: "This life has toughened and hardened us all."  Just then, Emmet, the only person still dressed in any color other than black and dingy brown, walks up to the coffee counter and places his order with a bright smile for the glaring clerk.  Lucy, amending herself: "Well, toughened most of us."  Carrying his well-sugared coffee, Emmet walks through the town with a buoyant step and a cheery demeanor: "Good morning, Apocalypseburg!"  While everyone else around him is angry and mistrustful, Emmet is unflappably genial.  As he walks, he listens to a peppy tune ("Everything is Awesome"), seemingly oblivious to the fights, danger, and destruction all around him.


Armamageddon has happened and the Legos have been banished to the storage bins.  Silently, Bianca drops Lucy into a bin and carries it downstairs.  Lucy and all the other Lego characters look sadly up from the darkness of the bin as big letters appear onscreen: "The End."  Lucy, seeing the message signaling the movie is over: "Wait!  What?  No, this isn't the end.  It can't be.  This isn't one of those things with a downer, cliff-hanger ending.  This needs to have a happy ending."  The other characters have resigned themselves to a sad fate, but Lucy is insistent: "It's only over if we give up!"  Benny: "Well, it's over and we're giving up."  Lucy: "We can get out of here if we all rally together!"  Sweet Mayhem: "No, it's too late.  Nothing left to do but sing a mature, sad song as we fade to black."  The characters begin to sadly sing: ♪ "Everything's not awesome.  Everything's not cool.  I am so depressed.  What's the point?  There's no hope.  Awesomeness was a pipe dream.  Love's not real.  I just wanna eat carbs.  Pass the ice cream." ♪ Lucy stops the song of despair and sings her own song instead: ♪ "Everything's not awesome.  But that doesn't mean that it's hopeless and bleak.  Everything's not awesome.  But, in my heart, I believe we can make things better if we stick together.  Side-by-side you and I can build it together." ♪ Soon, all of the Legos are singing Lucy's song of hope.  The song attracts Finn's attention, who opens the storage bin as "The End" crumbles to bits and light floods the Legos once more.


When Emmet asks for Rex's help in navigating the Systar System, Rex refuses, never wanting to return to the place that so traumatized his life.  Rex: "Forget it, kid.  That place is too terrible."  He tells Emmet the story of how, when piloting his ship through space one day, he had an accident and ended up "in the desolate plains of the dust planet Undar of the Dryar System."  (The Lego character was lost under the washing machine and dryer in the basement.)  Rex, remembering: "The winds were ferocious (he was directly underneath the clothing tumbler), the isolation intense."  The lonely Lego looks out from underneath the machine and sees the passing of time.  People come and go.  Laundry baskets fill and empty.  Kids play and laugh, but nobody sees him.  Rex: "I waited for my friends.  Seemed to last forever.  That's when I learned...there was no one I could trust but me."
