ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

## How We Use Cookies

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

Pleading her case in court, she wins over the local judge by appealing to his sense of history, allowing her to attend night classes.

Katherine's parents are in conference with her teacher when they are told that she has been accepted on scholarship to the West Virginia Collegiate Institute.  Her parents are amazed not only that the school has admitted a sixth-grader, but also that the teachers have banded together to provide the funds necessary to move Katherine's family to the area.  Katherine is shown at the school, in math class with students several years her senior.  Her teacher asks her to work out a problem on the board.  As the young girl performs complex mathematical calculations with an ease that lifts more than one eyebrow, her genius becomes evident to all.  Teacher, to Katherine's parents: "In all my years of teaching, I have never seen a mind like the one your daughter has.  You have to go.  You have to see what she becomes."

With much fear and trepidation, Mary, a newly-hired member of the NASA team, walks toward the shuttle testing area.  Awed, she approaches the capsule, honored to be a part of something so historical.  She reaches up slowly to touch the gleaming metal of the craft.  A voice over the speakers announces a one-minute countdown to the test.  At a gesture from one of the men watching from behind the glass windows, Mary turns to exit the testing area.  As she steps over a metal floor grate, Mary's high-heel shoe gets stuck between the bars.  The men watch as Mary tries in vain to extract her shoe.  Sirens blare and gusts of wind begin to blow around her as the test sequence ramps up.  Karl, over the speaker: "No shoe is worth your life."  Finally, with only four seconds to spare, Mary is forced to abandon her shoe and enter the office barefoot.  She walks to the viewing area, ignoring the stares and head-shakings of the men.

Mary and Karl are evaluating the space capsule after its failed heat shield test.  As Mary puts forth several intelligent suggestions for modifications to the shield, Karl once again tries to convince her to apply to be an engineer: "Mary, a person with an engineer's mind should be an engineer!"  Mary, bluntly: "Mr. Zielinski, I'm a Negro woman.  I'm not gonna entertain the impossible."  Karl, heatedly: "And I'm a Polish Jew whose parents died in a Nazi prison camp.  Now I'm standing beneath a spaceship that's going to carry an astronaut to the stars!  I think we can say we are living the impossible."

Jim, newly stationed in the area, is taking a walk with Katherine at the church picnic.  He asks about her job at NASA: "What's that entail?"  Katherine: "We calculate the mathematics necessary to enable launch and landing for the space program."  Jim laughs, surprised: "That's pretty heady stuff.  They let women handle that sort of..."  He breaks off as he sees the look on Katherine's face.  He tries to talk his way out of his mistake, but only makes it worse.  Katherine: "Mr. Johnson, if I were you, I'd quit talking right now.  I will have you know, I was the first Negro female student at West Virginia University Graduate School.  On any given day, I analyze the manometer levels for air displacement, friction, and velocity, and compute over 10,000 calculations by cosine, square root, and, lately, analytic geometry.  By hand.  There are twenty bright, highly-capable Negro women in the West Computing Group, and we're proud to be doing our part for the country.  So, yes, they let women do some things at NASA, Mr. Johnson.  And it's not because we wear skirts.  It's because we wear glasses."  Katherine walks away, leaving Jim looking ashamed.

Dorothy is walking her two boys to the library when they pass a group of protesters being confronted by the police.  The demonstrators cry out for segregation to be abolished while glowering officers finger their clubs and fierce-looking dogs nip at their heels.  Dorothy steers her boys away from the scene: "We're not a part of that trouble."  They continue walking to the library, passing a set of drinking fountains.  A black man bends to use the "colored only" fountain and a white mother protectively ushers her little girl away from him.  At the library, Dorothy's boys quietly read while she searches the shelves for the book she needs.  A white librarian approaches her: "We don't want any trouble in here."  Dorothy, smiling: "Oh, I'm not here for any trouble, ma'am."  Librarian: "What are you here for?"  Dorothy, quietly: "A book."  Librarian: "You have books in the colored section."  Dorothy, politely: "It doesn't have what I'm looking for."  The next thing she knows, Dorothy and her two little boys are being physically escorted out of the library by a guard.  She tells the guard to have a blessed day.  They ride home on the bus, sitting in the back with the other black people.  Dorothy wants her boys to learn something from their experience that day: "Separate and equal are two different things.  Just 'cause it's the way, doesn't make it right.  You act right, you are right."

Dorothy is running back from the only colored ladies' restroom on the NASA campus.  She re-enters the office where she works, encountering the furious glare of her supervisor, Al.  Al, confronting her in front of the entire group of all-white personnel: "Where the h--l have you been?"  Dorothy quietly tells him she's been in the bathroom.  Al angrily demands that Dorothy explain why she disappears for forty minutes at a time every day.  Dorothy, her eyes downcast: "There's no bathroom for me here."  Al: "What do you mean there's no bathroom for you here?"  Dorothy, reaching her breaking point, raises her voice until the whole room can hear her explanation: "There are no colored bathrooms in this building, or any building outside the West Campus, which is half a mile away.  Did you know that?  I have to walk to Timbuktu just to relieve myself!  I work like a dog, day and night, living off of coffee from a pot none of you want to touch!"  Dorothy takes a few moments to calm her shaking voice: "So, excuse me if I have to go to the restroom a few times a day."  Dorothy grabs her lunch and walks out of the office under the silent stare of her white co-workers.  Al, who had been somewhat oblivious to the racism going on under his nose, walks over to the coffee station and sees the "colored" label on the small, inferior coffee pot.  He tears it off, looking around the room at his employees.  Later, Al is outside the restrooms in the West Campus, attacking the "colored" sign with a crowbar.  His white employees are gathered on one side of the room, the black employees on the other.  Everyone is silent as he tears down the sign.  Finishing, Al looks around: "No more colored restrooms.  No more white restrooms.  Here at NASA, we all pee the same color."  (Caution: d-word used twice, h-word used)

Katherine arrives home after a late night at work to find the dinner table set beautifully.  She looks around the room in surprise, seeing her three little girls dressed in their best clothes and wearing their brightest smiles.  Worried that she's forgotten someone's birthday, Katherine looks in vain around the table for the answer to the surprise.  When her boyfriend, Jim, enters the room carrying a bowl full of delicious food, Katherine's surprise only increases.  Suddenly, Katherine notices the ring box in front of her plate.  Her eyes begin to fill with tears, prompting her littlest to ask if she's sad.  Joylette and Constance smile encouragingly at their mother: "It's okay, Mama.  He's a good man."  But Katherine's tears are from joy, not from sorrow, and she listens eagerly as Jim proposes.  Kneeling next to her chair, Jim proceeds to propose, with frequent comments interjected from the girls.  Jim tells Katherine that the day they met, he told his mother he had met the woman he was going to marry.  Jim, explaining why he chose a family dinner to pop the question: "I know marrying you includes marrying your girls as well."  Katherine's mother approves that sentiment, tears in her eyes: "Amen to that."  The girls smile, pleased to be a part of the proposal.  Katherine eagerly accepts, and the girls gather around their mother and their soon-to-be stepfather, happy to become a family.
