ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

He is standing at the car rental counter, trying desperately to rent a car so he can drive the 311 miles back to Nashville.  As Dan's son Nate is loaded onto the Life Flight helicopter hundreds of miles away, Dan begs the desk clerk for help: "This is a medical emergency.  My son has been in a horrific accident.  He's being Life Flighted right now to the hospital.  I don't even know how he is!"  But while the desk clerk is very sympathetic, she has no cars left to rent to Dan: "If you had a reservation, maybe I could..."  Dan: "How am I supposed to have a reservation?  I'm not even supposed to be here!"  Behind Dan, a uniformed soldier tries to get his attention: "Sir?"  Dan, barely keeping himself under control: "Excuse me, just for one second, please!"  The soldier tries again: "Sir."  Dan: "Please, please, just one minute, please!"  Soldier, holding out his ticket: "Take my reservation."  At that, Dan turns around and looks in astonishment at the soldier.  As Dan, still speechless, stares at the paper now in his hand, the soldier finishes: "I'm sorry to hear about your son."

Katy tells Nate that while she has been offered an amazing job opportunity in Atlanta, she is struggling to make the decision to move.  She feels guilty because she hasn't been there much for Nate and thinks that she needs to take her turn in caring for him.  She realizes that she spent the past four years being selfish and wants to do something unselfish for Nate.  But Nate wants his sister to take the job: "You can't change your life because of me!"  But Katy is still not convinced.  Nate: "You already gave me what I needed."  Katy looks confused.  Nate reminds her of the time when he was first ill with meningitis and in critical condition.  Although he looked out of it, he was actually conscious when Katy sat by his bed and ordered him not to die: "You said, 'Don't leave, Nathaniel.  You don't have my permission.'  I heard you.  I fought.  I didn't leave.  You already saved me once.  You don't have to do it again."

While shopping at a grocery store with Gigi on his shoulder, Nate runs into an old classmate -- who wasn't aware of his condition. (Caution: God's name misused several times; hell used inappropriately)

When Katy learns that her disabled brother has been given a service animal, she doesn't approve of his choice of a monkey.  Demanding to see where the monkey lives, she stalks towards his room despite the protests of her family.  Claire: "There is a protocol to all this and you are not supposed to just go up there!"  Nate: "You're gonna freak her out."  Claire: "Katy...are you listening?"  Katy ignores them.  She walks up to Gigi's cage and puts her face close to the monkey.  Nate continues to try to warn her, but Katy is being fueled by her righteous indignation at the thought of a monkey being kept in a cage.  Nate, as Katy reaches towards the cage: "I wouldn't do that if I were you."  In an instant, Gigi has thrown a fistful of poo right in Katy's face.  While Nate and Annabelle see the humor in their sister's predicament, Katy does not.  The incident just further inflames her.  In the confusion of the argument, the dog gets loose.  The whole family chases after him, trying to keep him away from Gigi.  But before they can stop him, the dog is at the cage, barking in Gigi's face.  The frightened monkey runs, escaping into the main house.  The dog gives chase.  Between the two of them, they manage to tear up flower beds, destroy trophies, break dishes, and scatter food everywhere.  Even the blinds are torn from the window.  Finally, they are able to catch both the dog and the monkey, but not before the kitchen is wrecked.  Just then, Dan walks in.  All arguing stops as his eyes slowly travel over the chaotic scene.


Dan walks up to the front desk of the hospital.  He is immediately greeted by one of the medical staff: "Are you the father?"  Dan follows her back to where the rest of his family is already gathered.  They are in an observation room where they can sit behind glass and watch as Nate struggles for his life.  Dan's daughters run up to him and hug him tightly, but his eyes are on his son.  He watches helplessly as Nate's body is contorted in seizure after seizure.  He can do nothing to ease his obvious pain.  Claire takes her husband's hand, knowing exactly how he feels.  Later, the doctor gives them the diagnosis: meningitis.  As the doctor clinically tells them the mechanics of the illness, Claire cuts to the chase: "Why isn't anyone saying?"  Doctor: "Excuse me?"  Claire: "Why isn't anyone saying?  Is Nate going to be okay?"  The two main doctors look at each other before answering: "Your son is very sick.  Mortality rates in his age and profile are 80 percent.  If he survives, there's also a significant risk of brain impairment.  Loss of speech, loss of hearing, cognitive dysfunction.  Even paralysis."  The scene ends with a close-up of Dan's face, as he tries to digest the news that his son will most likely die.


Nate is on the bathroom floor, writhing in pain.  His head hurts like never before in his life, shivers wrack his body, and sweat pours from his face.  He throws up.  Annabelle sees the state Nate is in and runs for help, knowing that something is seriously wrong.  When Claire sees her son, she knows it too.  She takes him into her arms, putting a thumb into his mouth so he won't bite his tongue as he goes into convulsions.  Claire calls for Katy to pull the car around front and breathes out desperate prayers as she comforts Nate: "Please, dear God.  Please, dear God.  Oh, my God, please, dear God."  The family bundles Nate into the car and they rush to the nearest hospital.


Claire, perpetually exhausted from caring for Nate, is at the end of her rope.  She confronts Dan: "When was the last time you got up at three in the morning to turn Nate?"  Dan: "I work!  How do you think we pay for our health insurance?"  As Claire tries to explain how tired she is, it is clear that Dan is just as stressed.  Unfortunately, Nate can hear their argument from inside his bedroom.  He listens as his parents fight about how hard it is to care for him.  He hears them lament over needing to sell their vacation home and quit jobs and make sacrifices, all for him.  Claire, to Dan: "You want your perfect life back!  You want your perfect son back.  And your country club membership and your house on the lake."  Nate swallows hard, guilt-ridden over being the source of his parents' frustration.  Late that night, when his mom comes to turn him in bed, he tells his mom he doesn't want to be a burden: "You sold Happy Days because of me.  You haven't painted or sculpted because of me."  Claire tries to tell him he isn't a burden, but her own words from earlier are ringing in his mind.  


Nate maneuvers his wheelchair up to his mother.  He calls over Gigi, who hands an envelope to Claire to open.  As Claire reads the letter, she is amazed and astonished: "You're going to college?"  Nate smiles broadly: "I got a full ride on tuition, books.  Gigi can come.  They have ramps and everything.  Everything's accessible."  Claire wipes away tears as she tells her son: "I am so proud of you."  As Nate looks out over the lake he thinks about how far he has come since illness first entered his life.  As his family sits around the table, holding hands and praying, Nate continues to think: "Sometimes I wonder what might have happened if I'd never gotten meningitis.  I mean, come on, I'm not an idiot.  That would have been awesome.  But, in terms of the path I got put on, I think I made the best of it."  His final thoughts are of Gigi, who brought his family the thing they needed most...hope.
