ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement!

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

Justin is walking toward the school bus, struggling to carry his large science project.  Mary watches him from her window, marveling at the detail of his project.  Impressed with his hard work, she turns to watch him walk toward the back of the bus.  Mary sees as one of the bigger boys deliberately puts his foot out and trips Justin.  Justin falls to the ground and his project is destroyed.  The culprit begins taunting Justin, encouraging the other kids to laugh at his misfortune.  Furious, Mary stands up and shouts at the bully: "You should not be laughing!  You did a mean thing to a little kid!"  Bully, provocatively: "What are you going to do about it?"  Mary grabs a hardback textbook and marches toward the bully, raising it high over her head.  A loud thwacking sound is heard before everything goes black.  (Caution: a-word used)

Frank has been called to the principal's office to discuss Mary's fight with the school bully (see scene # CV09409).  Principal Davis tells Frank that she believes Mary is an extremely gifted child and belongs in a school that could challenge her academically.  She offers Frank a full scholarship at a nearby prestigious academy.  Frank admits that it is a great school and that most kids would do well there.  But he believes that Mary needs to be included with kids her age, not separated.  His concern is for her character development over her education.  Frank: "Today's a bad ending.  You can't hit people.  But, a twelve-year-old bullies a seven-year-old and she stands up!  Do you know how important it is to me that she did that?  Do you know how proud I am of her?  Aren't you?"  Davis indignantly leans forward, starting to remind Frank of the boy's shattered nose.  Frank, interrupting: "You can't hit people.  That will be made very clear.  I get that.  But, Mrs. Davis, if we segregate our leaders, if we separate them from people like you and me, you get congressmen.  So, I'm sorry.  I wish I could take your offer, but Mary stays."  Mrs. Davis: "This is a mistake.  We'll never be able to raise this child to the level of scholarship she deserves."  Frank nods his acceptance: "Well, just dumb her down into a decent human being."

Mary and Frank are on the beach, watching a beautiful sunset.  Mary suddenly asks: "Is there a God?"  Frank: "I don't know."  Mary: "Just tell me."  Frank: "I would if I could, but I don't know.  Neither does anybody else."  Mary, thinking of their Christian neighbor: "Roberta knows."  Frank: "No.  Roberta has faith, and that's a great thing to have.  But faith's about what you think, feel.  Not what you know."  Mary: "What about Jesus?"  Frank: "Love that guy.  Do what He says."  Mary: "But is He God?"  Frank: "I don't know.  I have an opinion.  But that's my opinion.  I could be wrong.  So why would I screw up yours?"  Frank sighs, giving his niece some final advice: "Use your head.  But don't be afraid to believe in things either."  Mary, thinking: "There was a guy on TV who said there was no God."  Frank: "The only difference between the atheists on TV and Roberta is that Roberta loves you.  She's trying to help.  Tell you what, though.  One way or another, we all end up back together in the end."

Frank enters Mary's room after the two have had a fight.  (Frank lost his temper and yelled at Mary after she broke a house rule.)  Frank: "Nothing that happened today was your fault.  I got mad at you.  I was really mad at me.  And the manufacturers of Legos.  They should all be in prison.  So, I'm sorry.  Forgive me?"  Mary mumbles an answer, averting her eyes.  Frank: "It doesn't count if it's not eye-to-eye.  Close the laptop.  Please."  Mary, still thinking about Frank's harsh words: "Do you really have no life because of me?"  Frank: "That's not what I said."  Mary: "Did you mean it?"  Frank: "Last month, you said I was the worst uncle in the world, and you wished death upon me 'cause I didn't buy you a piano.  Did you mean that?"  Mary, thinking: "No.  Not entirely."  Frank: "There you go.  We say things all the time we don't mean.  So, let's forget it, okay?"  Mary: "Okay."  Frank turns to leave and Mary calls after him: "Can I have a piano?"  Frank: "No."  Mary smiles.

Evelyn has brought Mary to the university, where she is to meet with a professor of mathematics in order to be evaluated.  (At seven, Mary is a suspected mathematical genius.)  Evelyn shows Mary a wall in the foyer, where seven frames, six of them empty, represent the toughest mathematical problems of the millennium.  Only one of them has been solved.  Evelyn: "Some mathematicians have worked their entire lives to prove them."  Evelyn tells Mary that her own mother spent almost her entire life working on a single problem.  She directs Mary to look at one of the empty frames: "This.  This is your mother's problem."  Mary: "No picture.  She didn't solve it?"  Evelyn, shaking her head: "No.  She was close.  She would have won the Fields Medal and probably shared a Nobel, considering what it would have meant for physics."  Mary stares at the empty frame: "Maybe I'll have my picture up here someday."  Evelyn bends down, taking Mary's shoulders in her hands: "If you really desire it, you can have your picture there, darling."  A close-up shows Mary's face, suddenly looking very young, innocent, and vulnerable, as Evelyn continues: "It takes focus and hard work, but if you succeed, your name will live forever."

Mary has just learned that her biological father knew where she lived, but never tried to meet her.  Devastated, she is huddled in the locked bathroom, crying.  Mary, tearfully: "If I was the dad of a little girl, and I never saw her, and I was in the same town, I would visit her."  Frank and Roberta try to comfort her, but the girl's pain is legitimate, and there's not much they can say to erase it.  Suddenly, Frank has an idea.  Dragging the two to a nearby hospital, he instructs them to sit with him and just wait.  The next several hours are spent in quiet boredom.  Families sit in small groups, holding hushed conversations.  Finally, their wait is rewarded.  Frank tells Mary to watch as one of the waiting families begins to show expectant signs.  An older man stares piercingly at the door, waking his wife dozing next to him.  Mary watches closely as he stands, an expression of utter joy on his face.  A younger man enters the waiting room, wearing hospital scrubs.  He approaches the older man, a broad grin on his face: "It's a boy!"  A half dozen family members instantly surround him, laughing happily and celebrating the new life together.  Mary smiles, watching the grandmother hop up and down in joyful abandon.  Frank, to Mary: "That's exactly how it was when you were born."  Mary: "This happy?"  Frank: "This happy."  Mary, her eyes glued to the happy family: "Who came out and told everybody?"  Frank, touching Mary's cheek: "I did."  Mary smiles at her adoptive father: "Can we stay for another?"  The adults agree and they wait and watch as another family welcomes the birth of a beloved child.  This time, Mary can't restrain herself.  She hops up and joins the family, celebrating with them.  (Caution: d-word used)

Frank, under court-order to relinquish the niece he's raised from birth to a foster home, is dropping Mary off with her new foster parents.  While the couple watches quietly in the background, Frank tries to reconcile Mary to her new situation, but she is heartbroken.  The seven-year-old cannot understand why Frank is leaving her behind, and she repeatedly begs him not to abandon her.  Mary, tearfully: "Please don't leave me here.  Please."  Frank, his own heart breaking, tries to comfort her, but she is inconsolable.  Mary, sobbing: "Please, Frank, why are you leaving me?"  Frank: "Because the court said I had to."  Even though Frank is powerless to change the situation, Mary can only see that he is abandoning her.  When he tries to embrace her, she angrily pushes him away, slapping at him until her new foster mother comes to restrain her.  The foster mother holds her tightly to keep her from running, uttering meaningless words of little comfort.  The father looks helpless: "There's no easy way to do this."  Quietly, Frank slips out of the house, hearing the sounds of Mary's screams following him: "Frank!  Don't leave me!"  Sitting in his truck, he sees her go to the window of the house and begin to pound on the glass: "I need you!"  The foster parents come and pull her away.  Frank, devastated, goes home without his little girl.
