ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

## How We Use Cookies

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

When the X-Men encounter the space shuttle, it is spinning wildly out of control.  Pieces of the vessel are flying off from the strain of the spin.  With Raven in charge of the mission, she directs the X-Men to various tasks, depending on their gifting.  Knowing the ship won't hold together much longer, she asks Kurt if he can transport to the ship to save the crew.  Without a line of sight into the ship, Kurt can't transport, so Raven orders Scott to blast the broken thruster with his laser eyes.  He complies, which immediately slows the ship enough for Kurt to board.  Raven tells Kurt to take Peter with him, knowing she'll need Peter's light-speed to rescue the crew.  Hoping to buy some time for Kurt and Peter, Raven tells Storm to seal the cracks in the ship.  Storm, using her powers over ice, freezes the holes in the vessel.  Peter, travelling faster than light, sends the crewmen back to Kurt, who can then transport them back to the ship.

Jean, desperate for help in controlling her power, has come to Erik for help.  Jean, recalling a time when Erik lost control: "You hurt people."  Erik, quietly: "It's been awhile."  Jean: "But you did."  Erik, impatiently: "Yes.  What did you come here to ask me?"  Jean, earnestly: "How did you stop?"  Erik, unwillingly dwelling on painful memories: "I've lived with vengeance my whole life.  Ever since I was a child.  I lost everyone I ever loved, so I hurt people.  Yes, killed people.  Killed whatever I thought would make the pain go away.  It didn't, no matter how many souls I sent under.  So I stopped."  Jean, tears in her eyes: "I don't know how to stop.  I don't know what's happening to me.  When I lose control, things happen, bad things...to people I love."

Charles has come to save the woman he raised from a little girl.  Jean is controlled by her own power and by Vuk, a malevolent alien who stands at her side.  Charles begs Jean to listen to reason.  Vuk, looking down on Charles with cold disdain: "She's not your little girl anymore."  Charles recognizes Vuk for the evil that she is and encourages Jean to remember his teaching: "You can control it.  You can do anything you set your mind to."  Angry and bitter, Jean forces the paralyzed Charles to walk upstairs to her.  A black mist surrounds Jean, as if the fabric of the world was crumbling around her.  She watches, her eyes glowing with fire, as Charles struggles up the stairs.  Unable to read her thoughts anymore, Charles asks Jean to read his.  She looks into his mind, seeing moments from the past that showed his love for her.  She sees him inviting her into his home and his family.  She sees him telling her: "You are not broken."  She sees her own father, giving her up to Charles: "You'll take her?"  Charles: "Yes.  I can help in ways you can't."  Father: "She can't be helped.  She's a lost cause."  Charles: "No, she's not.  As long as there's someone to care for her, who believes, then there's still hope."  Tears stream down Jean's face as she watches the memories.  Charles, looking into her eyes: "There's still hope."  Jean releases Charles.  He smiles at her: "I knew you were still in there."


Charles and the X-Men have come to take Jean back to the school.  Jean, angry that Charles kept the truth of her past from her, refuses.  Calmly, Charles tries to make Jean see reason, but she just gets more and more upset.  Knowing Jean has a special relationship with Scott, he sends the boy to speak with her.  But Jean won't relent even for him.  Just then, several police cars arrive.  They prove the tipping point for Jean, who screams: "Stay away from me!"  With a thrust of her arm, Jean sends the cars flying.  Charles, to the X-Men: "Stop her, quickly!"  One-by-one, Jean's friends try to stop her from losing control.  But she fights them all.  Ignoring Kurt's pleas, Jean collapses a house on top of him.  She thrusts Peter to the ground, where he lies, battered and bruised.  She throws Storm and Scott out of her way.  Charles freezes time to give Raven a chance to calm Jean down.  Raven: "Come home.  Let me take care of you."  Jean looks down in horror at her own hands: "No, you can't.  You don't know what it's like.  When it comes, people get hurt."  Raven, stepping slowly toward her friend: "I'm not afraid of you, Jean."  She continues to talk comfortingly to Jean, telling her of her love and support.  Jean, however, becomes more and more angry.  Veins of fire stand out on her face.  Finally, as Raven reaches out a hand, Jean loses all control: "Stop!" Jean throws Raven backward with the force of her anger.  Raven's eyes widen in pain and fear and she seems unable to move.  Jean, horrified, runs toward her and looks over her broken body with utter remorse (Raven's injuries are offscreen).  But it is too late.

Charles tells young Jean that he runs a school for people like her: "Special."  Jean, downcast: "Special is just a nice word for - -"  Charles, finishing: "Weird?  Or crazy?  Sometimes it is.  Sometimes it can be used to describe people who are significant, or amazing.  You've got gifts, Jean."  To illustrate his point, Charles hands her a pen, telling her it is a gift.  "Now, you could choose to draw a really good picture with that, or you could use it to poke someone's eyes out.  But, either way, it's still just a pen.  It's just a gift.  And what you choose to do with your gift, well, that's entirely up to you.  But if you want to use it to do good stuff, well, I can help."
