ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

At the top navigation of any page, there are links to see: "All Scene Ideas," or "All Scene Views," or "All Scene Downloads."

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

After Evelyn encourages Sonny to express his love to Sunaina, they race to the hotel, announcing to Mrs. Kapoor (Sonny's mother) their intention to marry, regardless of her approval: "I can live with the Marigold hotel crumbling to dust, but the one thing I will not do is live without this girl!" Stubbornly, Mrs. Kapoor still rejects Sunaina, when Young Wasim, a hotel employee, reminds Mrs. Kapoor she and her late husband were in a similar situation when they wished to marry against their families' wishes. Moved, Mrs. Kapoor blesses Sonny's marriage.

Douglas and Jean are taking a tour of a bungalow in a retirement village, hoping to find a home in which to spend their golden years.  Only newly retired, the couple are in good health both mentally and physically.  Accordingly, Jean feels it to be a slap in the face when the estate agent lauds the hand rails and panic button meant for the elderly and infirm.  Brightly, the man points out the features: "Not necessarily right now, give it a few years, rails on the wall to help you get around.  And, over here, a panic button.  In case of a sudden fall, brings the warden running."  Outside, an elderly man rides by on a motorized scooter.  Jean, insulted and angry, snaps sarcastically at the agent: "What if we fell somewhere else?  It's just, we might not manage to plan our sudden fall in the exact corner where the button is.  And would it be possible to have the rail going through the middle of the room to help us get across as well as around?"  Wanting to avoid an unpleasant scene, Douglas asks for a moment alone to pacify his wife.  Jean, refusing to be pacified, is angry that their lifetime of work for the government has ended in a bungalow with a panic button.

Evelyn, an elderly woman, is training a team of telemarketers to communicate more effectively with their elderly clients.  Using Sunaina as an example, she begins to act out a phone conversation to illustrate her point.  As Sunaina goes through her scripted sales pitch, Evelyn critiques her along the way, prompting the girl to speak with more compassion for her fellow man.  Evelyn: "Don't talk like a robot.  Now just talk to me."  Evelyn encourages Sunaina to chat with her customers, knowing the elderly are often lonely, admonishing her not to jump to the sales pitch too quickly.  But when Sunaina asks Evelyn about her husband, she finds that she has hit upon a personal source of pain for the recently widowed woman.  Evelyn stops the role-play, instead recalling a recent real-life experience she had with a telemarketer: "A little while ago, I talked to someone who was so constricted by the scripts, well, sales agenda, that she spoke without a trace of humanity.  As if she hadn't realized that I was going completely to pieces at the end of the phone."

Madge has agreed to help her friend Norman meet Carol.  Walking up to the bar where Carol sits, they introduce themselves.  Madge chats comfortably with the woman, but Norman's comments are awkward and his attempts at humor are embarrassing.  Finally able to take no more of Norman's social blunders, Madge excuses herself to go to the bathroom.  Carol tries to gently shoo Norman away: "Look, it's been lovely chatting."  Norman, knowing he's failed miserably: "No, it hasn't."  Carol, deciding to match Norman's bluntness: "No, it hasn't.  But I really have to go."  Norman decides to stop trying to impress Carol and just be himself: "Look, Carol, can we drop all this pretense?  Start again?  I'm not charming.  I'm not good at repartee.  My name's Norman.  And I'm lonely."  Carol smiles genuinely at Norman: "My name's Carol.  So am I."

After suspecting a repair man of taking advantage of his ignorance, Douglas tells Evelyn how a taxi driver recently tried to do the same thing.  Douglas wishes he could trust that the man's motives were pure: "One wants to trust in general, don't you think?  But you never really know."  Evelyn tells Douglas the story of how she met her husband.  He had rescued her from a near accident, asking her to trust him.  Evelyn: "And I did.  Without question, till the day he died."  Douglas: "How wonderful."  Evelyn reveals, however, that her trust was misplaced.  At her husband's death, she discovered that he had frittered away their life savings, leaving her broke and alone.  Evelyn: "So, no, you're right.  You never know."

Mrs. Donnelly is visiting the home of the maid from her hotel.  With the aid of a translator, the maid asks if Mrs. Donnelly has children.  Mrs. Donnelly explains that she spent her life caring for another woman's children, acting as housekeeper for many years for the same family.  Mrs. Donnelly: "I ran the house, looked after the money, did it all.  Cared for them like they were my own.  One day, they decided I needed some help."  Mrs. Donnelly found herself training a young woman to take her place: "They said I was no longer useful to them.  They thanked me for my service...as if that was all it was."  After years caring for what she saw as her family, she found herself alone and utterly useless: "My problem was what to do with all the time I had.  I mean, the flat...it's so small.  I can have it spotless in half an hour.  And then, you know, what am I supposed to do?  For the rest of the day?"

Having just learned that the hotel isn't closing after all, the residents of the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel are deciding whether or not to stay.  Everyone except Evelyn has voiced their willingness to make India their home.  Mrs. Donnelly asks Evelyn what she intends to do.  Evelyn: "I'm not sure what I shall do.  Nothing here has worked out quite as I expected."  Mrs. Donnelly, with an air of wisdom: "Most things don't.  But, you know, sometimes what happens instead is the good stuff."
