ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

## How We Use Cookies

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

When Chik asks Michael why their team didn't arrive early to train, Michael confesses that the sponsors wouldn't give them the money.  He tells Chik that he even spent $25,000 of his family's life savings to allow them the time they did have.  Michael, rationalizing his choice: "This is my last chance.  That's it for me."  Chik can't believe Michael would use his family's savings for his race: "That's about the stupidest thing I ever heard."  Michael: "I know."  Chik: "Why the h--l would you put your family in jeopardy?  Just to win a race?  For a trophy?  Your real trophies are at home, waiting for you to come back to them.  Now, that's a legacy, man."  (Caution: h-word)

It is the final leg of the race and Michael and his team are in first place, with their arch-nemesis in a close second.  They must finish the kayaking and then sprint for two miles to the finish line.  The racing commission forbid Arthur from going with them on their kayaks, citing a safety concern.  So, Michael reluctantly left him onshore.  The dog, however, has no intention of staying behind.  He runs along the shore with them until he can run no further.  Then, he jumps in the water and swims after them.  Unfortunately, he cannot keep up, and Michael sees that the little dog is going to drown.  He orders Leo to stop paddling: "Leo, we gotta get him."  Leo, frustrated to be close enough to taste victory, doesn't want to stop.  Michael: "He's one of us, alright?  I'm not gonna let him drown out here!"  Leo stops, knowing Michael is right: "One of us."  They turn the kayak around and rescue the dog just as his head is sinking beneath the waters.  They pull him onboard.  Michael apologizes to his teammates for giving away first place, but they agree with him: "We should take care of our own first."  (Caution: h-word)

Olivia is ziplining over the jungle when the cable under her clamp frays (see scene view # ArthurKing--Ziplining).  She comes to a dead halt in the middle of the line, unable to move any further.  Michael immediately straps on to help.  He ziplines until he is a few feet away from her.  With the cable above Olivia shot, Michael knows he has to somehow get around her.  He tells Olivia he will need to unclip from the safety harness, dangle by only the strength of his arms (with the weight of his bike hanging from him), and climb around her, hand-over-hand.  Olivia can't believe he'd take such a risk but it is the only way Michael can see to save them both.  He takes a deep breath, and unclips, dangling by one hand.  He swings himself around Olivia and manages to clip back to the line.  But now he finds he is too far away to reach her.  And, so, Michael comes up with an even more dangerous plan.  He tells Olivia he is going to swing his bike towards her.  She must then grab it and attach her harness to the bike.  Once she does this, Olivia must let go, trusting that Michael and the line can hold the weight of two humans and their bikes.  Olivia follows the plan, but is still worried: "This'll hold, right?"  Michael: "Trust me, it's gonna work."  Olivia releases her carabiner from the line and lets herself fall.  Michael now slides down the zipline with Olivia and their two bikes dangling in a line beneath him.  (Caution: s-word spoken 10 times)


Michael and his team are on the bicycling leg of their race when they decide to take a shortcut.  Suddenly, the trail ends at the base of a cliff.  Chik is dismayed to have led them to what looks like a dead end: "According to the map this is a trail."  Leo, sounding defeated: "What do we do now?"  Olivia: "We climb."  Michael: "What?  With our bikes?"  Olivia: "Oh, yeah.  Just follow me."  And, so they do.  They strap their bikes to their backs and free climb up the cliff.  Even for adventure racers, this move is risky.  Chik: "This is crazy."  But, they are determined to win and so they climb.  When Olivia reaches the top, she raises her arms in the air and lets out a celebratory yell.  They've made it and cut hours off their time in the process.


Michael and his team have taken another short-cut but the jungle is so dense they aren't making much progress.  Leo thinks he's spotted a path and begins to run ahead.  The others follow after, but Arthur races to the front and stops, barking ferociously at Leo and not allowing him to pass.  Leo is at first irritated: "You dumb dog!"  But Michael senses the dog is trying to warn them of something.  He feels air flowing over his skin.  They take another few steps forward and look down.  A deep crevasse yawns directly across their path.  Arthur has just saved their lives.  Michael bends down to Arthur's level: "Extra meatballs for you, my friend.  Thank you."  (Caution: d-word, s-word, a-word)


Michael is leading his team of adventure racers across rugged terrain in Costa Rica.  The time has come for the kayaking portion of the race, but, for some reason, only Michael's team is getting in their boats.  When his teammate asks why the other teams aren't joining them, Michael is dismissive: "Because they're weak."  Leo, however, sees the real reason: "Michael, the tide's going out to the ocean."  Leo warns Michael that by going against the tide, they will expend their energy for nothing.  But Michael won't listen.  Leo wants to wait it out: "We could still win if we're patient!"  Michael: "Just shut up and paddle!"  Leo: "Trust your team, Michael!"  But, Michael won't budge and so they paddle for all they're worth.  Soon, the water becomes salty and Leo advises turning around.  Michael, however, orders them to continue.  Before long, the tide is completely out and they are forced to carry their heavy kayaks through the mud.  John collapses from dehydration and heat exhaustion.  Now, Helen tries to get through to Michael, warning him that John needs an IV.  Michael refuses, knowing that kind of medical aid will mean a four-hour penalty to the team.  Finally, Leo has had enough.  They are finished, and, this time, even Michael knows it.  (Caution: g-d-word, s-word, h-word)


Michael stares at his photo on Instagram, a picture of the travesty that was his last race (see clip # CV11844).  Michael, showing his wife: "Look at this."  Helen: "Michael, this photo is three years old."  Michael: "Yeah, well, my dad makes it seem like it was yesterday."  Helen: "So?"  Michael: "It has 182,000 likes of me stuck in the mud!"  Helen: "Yeah, and?"  Michael: "And I raced for nineteen years!  That's what I'm remembered for?"  Helen, taking his face in her hands, tells him his heart isn't focused on the right things.  Helen: "I was a racer, and now I'm a mom."  Michael: "And, so, just like that, I'm done?  No, this is not how it ends for me."  Helen, holding up the picture: "You know, this doesn't define you."  (Caution: s-word)


Michael is meeting with a company to request they sponsor his team in the next adventure race.  He asks the board for $100,000.  The executives are reluctant to back someone who has competed a lot, but never won.  Exec, sarcastically: "How much sponsor money did you get in the last race when you only lasted one day?"  Michael's friend is on the board but, at this point, sees that Michael's chances are slim.  He asks Michael to meet him outside.  Before he leaves, however, Michael addresses the board once more: "You know, my senior year in high school, I was cut from the football team.  Three months later, I was cut from the basketball team.  And then, at baseball tryouts, the coach told me that I was just wasting his time.  So, I left the field, but instead of going home, I started running.  I ran fifteen miles in my baseball cleats and I wore them down to the soles.  Four hours later, my feet were bleeding and I had a stress fracture in my shin, and I had to call my mom to come and pick me up because I was lost.  And, the next day, I did it again.  And again the day after that.  And you know what I learned?  I learned that I could embrace pain.  Buckets of it!  I learned that suffering is a skill and that I can suffer more than anyone or anything else.  You wanna know why I race?  Because I wanna show people that I have what it takes to win."  Michael leaves, promising he will find a way to race.
