ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Movie Ideas, Movie Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show thousands of movie titles and TV shows from a number of producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 4,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including all the titles that  part of the ScreenVue Vault.

All such service providers are contractually required to keep your data safe, use it only for the purposes agreed, and delete it when it is no longer required. They have agreed not share it, nor use it for their marketing purposes.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Movie Ideas, Movie Views, and Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of content: 
- *Movie Ideas*: Has the "light-bulb icon," where you would use your own movie (Digital, Stream, Blu-ray, or DVD you already have access to) with our cues and details; as this idea is not available as a View or Download.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including movie content? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include movie content, the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming movie content - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream movie content inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include movie content, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

As Julian types commands into his keyboard, the Ares program he's created begins to come to life.  A figure like a man begins to assemble from nothing.  When complete, the figure stands inside a computer grid.  Outside, in the real world, Julian hits the "Start" button.  Soldiers appear to test Ares's abilities.  At first, Ares is quickly deleted as his adversaries destroy him with their superior abilities.  But, as Julian continually reworks the program, Ares begins to learn and improve.  Soon, he is skilled enough to beat anything that comes his way.  At last, Ares is ready to meet his creator.  A large human-like head appears in the room with him, greeting him.  Ares: "Who are you?"  The Head, which is Julian's projection from the outside world: "I am your creator."  Ares: "And who am I?"  Julian: "Not who.  What.  You are Dillinger Systems security software.  Program name, Ares.  Defender of the Grid.  You are Master Control."  Ares takes a moment to digest his identity before kneeling before his creator in acceptance: "Ares.  I am Master Control."

Ares comes to understand that Eve threw herself into finishing her sister’s work as a way to hold on to her memory, and now that the mission is complete, she intends to retire. He urges her not to walk away, but Eve feels trapped inside her grief, unable to imagine anything beyond it. “Being human is hard. The things that make life great are the same things that make it excruciating... like love, loss,” she admits. With a surprising gentleness for a program, Ares responds, “You must miss her very much,” recognizing the depth of the bond she’s struggling to let go of.


Kevin, confident at last that Ares can be trusted with the Permanence program, retrieves an icon shaped like a strand of DNA and holds it out to him. “Ready? Hope you are, man, ’cause there’s no going back,” he warns. Ares studies it and murmurs, “Permanence.” Kevin gives a wry smile, admitting that was his first name for it too, before experience taught him better. “Ought to be called the Impermanence code,” he says, reminding Ares that mortality comes with an endpoint. He inserts the DNA into Ares’ system. “One go-around. That’s all you got.” Ares accepts this without hesitation. “One is all I want.” With that, he steps into the waiting light, prepared to cross into the real world.

Ares chooses to spend his mortal life protecting Eve, and in doing so he confronts Athena, experiencing real pain for the first time.  She attacks without mercy, unable to understand why he has broken from his directive.  "We were given an order.  It is our purpose," she insists.  Ares spots an opening and strikes, deleting Athena's arm.  He argues: "It's not our purpose.  It's our programming.  Our purpose is yet to be determined."  At that moment, the virus Encom unleashed into the Dillinger server begins to take effect, and Julian' soldiers start falling from the sky.  Realizing she is moments from permanent deletion, Athena collapses.  Ares holds her while she begins to shut down.  She looks up at him, frightened and confused.  "I followed my directive," she insists.  "I know," Ares says softly.  Athena: "And now?  What is yours?"  Ares can only shake his head: "I'm not sure.  I guess we'll see."  With that, Athena dissolves into dust.

After Ares and his team secure the file from the Encom server, they find themselves confronted by a massive wave of security agents, forcing a fierce battle in which light beams erase programs from the mainframe with every strike. As the team retreats toward the safety of their own server, Caius is suddenly hit, his cry pulling Ares’ attention back to where the soldier struggles alone against multiple guards. Athena orders Ares to abandon him—“He’s dysfunctional! Leave him!”—but Ares, now guided by a conscience the others lack, refuses to reduce a life to a failed objective. He charges back, fights off the attackers, and lifts the injured Caius to his feet, offering comfort even as the danger closes in. At that moment, Julian chooses to bomb the entire server, wiping out both his own soldiers and Encom’s. Because Ares stayed behind for Caius, he is deleted as well. Moments later, he reappears in his home server, regenerated, where Julian praises him for a successful mission. But Ares feels no triumph. Noticing that Caius has not been restored, he questions Julian, who reacts with cold irritation: Caius was “dysfunctional,” and therefore deleted—just as any program can be if it steps outside its directive. Ares absorbs the threat, the truth settling heavily as he replies, “We are 100% expendable.”


Ares confides in Kevin about the strange anomalies he’s been experiencing, worried that something might be malfunctioning in his programming. Kevin, however, sees it differently—he believes there’s something right with Ares, noting that the program is behaving less like a machine and more like a person. He points out that Ares has been learning and adapting, a skill he jokes more humans could stand to improve. When their conversation drifts to music, Ares surprises him by admitting a preference for Depeche Mode. Amused, Kevin asks why, and Ares starts to offer a technical explanation before stopping short, unable to quantify the experience. “It’s just a… feeling,” he says at last. Kevin smiles, recognizing yet another glimpse of the growing humanity within him.  (Caution: d-word)

Athena's mission is to eliminate Eve, and after chasing her into a parking garage, she's briefly incapacitated on the ground floor thanks to Eve's quick thinking.  Believing she finally has a moment to breathe, Eve pauses--only to glance over the railing and discover Athena has vanished.  The relentless guardian is already sprinting up the levels, closing in with single-minded determination.  With no vehicle of her own and panic rising, Eve scrambles onto Athena's digital motorcycle.  The machine senses her presence and snaps around her like a cocoon, launching forward before she can protest.  She tears out of the garage just as Athena reaches for her, but with no idea how to control the bike, Eve can only scream as it rockets through the city in a wild, uncontrollable blur.  Worse still, Ares has now caught up to her, pursuing her with the same lethal directive.
