ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

On a mission to destroy the Dreadnought, the Resistance bombardiers are moving toward their target.  Under heavy fire, the ships are soon destroyed.  Only one remains, piloted by a girl named Paige.   Poe radios her, alarmed that her bomb doors haven't opened: "You're the only bomber left, it's all down to you!"   Paige climbs into the bomb hatch to see what has gone wrong and spots her partner unconscious on the floor.  She grabs the trigger, but a blast from an enemy ship sends her falling down the bomb chute.  Lying on the platform overhanging the hatch, Paige looks up at the rows and rows of armed bombs.  Far above, the trigger is balanced at the edge of the chute.  Paige kicks the ladder desperately, hoping to knock the trigger over the edge.  After several failed attempts, she closes her eyes and gives it one last try.  Outside, the Dreadnought is charging up to destroy the lead Resistance ship.  Paige's final kick brings down the trigger.  Just in time, she presses the button and watches from her vantage point as hundreds of bombs drop from all around her.  They strike their target, sending up a giant plume of flame.  Paige closes her eyes again, preparing to be swallowed by the fire.

A small, rocky island sits in the middle of the ocean on a planet at the edge of nowhere.  Rey, who has searched far and wide for the legendary Luke Skywalker, has come to the end of her journey.  Approaching him, she silently and almost reverently holds out his old light saber.  Luke takes it in his hands, staring at it for several moments.  The scene is pregnant with drama and expectation as Luke finally lifts his eyes to the unknown girl.  She stares back at him with anticipation.  Without a word, Luke chucks the light saber over his shoulder toward the ocean far below and stomps off.  Rey, stunned, turns to watch him go.

Princess Leia is commanding the Resistance from the bridge of their largest ship.  First Order ships have surrounded them and are attacking.  Suddenly, Leia sits down as if overcome.  She has sensed the presence of her son, Kylo Ren, a leader of the First Order.  Ren, flying one of the attack ships, is suddenly aware of his mother onboard his target.  For several frozen moments, they think of each other.  Leia, with longing mixed with fear.  Ren, with the agony of guilt and indecision.  His ship alerts him to the readiness of the target and his finger tightens on the button of his gun.  Trembling, he fights back tears as he decides whether or not to kill his mother.  Finally, he moves his finger off the trigger, choosing not to kill.

Vice Admiral Holdo, promoted to command after the recent devastating battle, addresses what remains of the Rebellion.  She looks around the room at the smattering of people.  "Four hundred of us, on three ships.  We're the very last of the Resistance.  But we're not alone.  In every corner of the galaxy, the downtrodden and oppressed know our symbol, and they put their hope in it.  We are the spark that will light the fire that will restore the Republic.  That spark, this Resistance, must survive.  That is our mission."

Rey has come to Luke to ask him to bring back the Jedi, to train them in the ways of the Force.   Luke: "What do you know about the Force?"   Rey, uncertainly: "It's a power that Jedi have that lets them control people and...make things float."   Luke, sarcastically: "Every word in that sentence was wrong."  He instructs Rey to sit cross-legged on a ledge overlooking the ocean.  Luke: "The Force is not a power you have.  It's not about lifting rocks.  It's the energy between all things, a tension, a balance that binds the universe together."   Rey, still in the dark: "Okay.  But what is it?"   Luke tells Rey to close her eyes and reach out with her feelings.  As Rey closes her eyes and lets her feelings explore, a look of peace settles over her face.   Luke: "What do you see?"   Rey, seeing scenes from the world as she feels them: "Life (flowers in a field).  Death and decay...that feeds new life (a skeleton under a patch of growing seedlings).  Warmth (sun on a rock).  Cold (icy waves striking the same rock).  Peace (a mother critter snuggling her babies in a nest).  Violence (rough waves destroying the empty nest).  Luke, prompting: "And between it all?"   Rey: "Balance.  An energy.  A Force."  Luke: "And inside you?"   Rey, smiling: "That same Force."

Hearing a sound, Rose runs out to the balcony in excitement.  Looking down over the darkened city, she sees a race.  Large creatures called fathiers are running around a track.  Rose is awed to see the majestic creatures she has heard so much about.  Finn: "Look, this whole place is beautiful.  I mean, come on, why do you hate it so much?"  The smile fades from Rose's face as she tells Finn to look closer at the race.  Peering through binoculars, Finn sees the creatures being cruelly whipped by their riders.  Small children are being used as caretakers for the animals, and are abused themselves.  Rose tells Finn that she grew up oppressed by the First Order, which used her community for what wealth it could get out of it.   Rose sees a similar plight in this wealthy casino city: "And who do you think these people are?  There's only one business in the galaxy that'll get you this rich.  Selling weapons to the First Order.  I wish I could put my fist through this whole lousy, beautiful town."

Yoda is counseling his old disciple, Luke, on how best to mentor Rey.   Luke, who failed in his last discipling relationship, feels too inadequate for the task: "I can't be what she needs me to be."   Yoda: "Pass on what you have learned.  Strength, mastery...but weakness, folly, failure also.  Yes, failure most of all.  The greatest teacher, failure is."  Luke appears thoughtful.   Yoda: "Luke, we are what they grow beyond."

Poe confronts Vice Admiral Holdo, angry that she seems to leading them on a futile mission: "We had a fleet.  Now we're down to one ship and you've told us nothing!  Tell us that we have a plan!  That there's hope!"  Holdo, calmly: "When I served under Leia, she would say, 'Hope is like the sun.  If you only believe in it when you can see it - -'"  Poe, finishing her sentence: "You'll never make it through the night."
