ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Movie Ideas, Movie Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show thousands of movie titles and TV shows from a number of producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 4,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including all the titles that  part of the ScreenVue Vault.

All such service providers are contractually required to keep your data safe, use it only for the purposes agreed, and delete it when it is no longer required. They have agreed not share it, nor use it for their marketing purposes.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Movie Ideas, Movie Views, and Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of content: 
- *Movie Ideas*: Has the "light-bulb icon," where you would use your own movie (Digital, Stream, Blu-ray, or DVD you already have access to) with our cues and details; as this idea is not available as a View or Download.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including movie content? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include movie content, the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming movie content - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream movie content inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include movie content, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

Mike and Dana are happily listening to music in the kitchen.  Claire is in the front yard, gardening.  None of them are aware that their lives are about to change forever.  We see Claire from inside the house, through the big front window.  She's looking up at the sky, breathing in the fresh air.  From behind her, a speeding car quickly approaches, driving across the front lawn and straight toward Claire.  The scene goes black.  The light returns from inside a hospital, where Claire's traumatized children wonder if their mom is going to survive.  While a friend ushers Dana, covered in his mom's blood, into the waiting room, a haggard-looking Mike takes Rachel into an examination room.  Although the girl is reeling from the trauma of her mother's condition, Mike has an even more pressing issue at hand.  He explains to the terrified girl that he is currently having a heart attack.  Rachel wants to get help but Mike has no insurance so he quickly teaches the girl to use the defibrillator.  Within seconds, Mike has passed out and Rachel has no choice but to shock him back to consciousness.  Days later, the family is back at home.  But, their scars are permanent and terrible.  Claire sits up groggily in bed and goes to stand to use the bathroom.  She falls immediately to the floor.  Mike runs in at the sound and tenderly picks up his wife.  One of her legs is amputated.  Claire: "I just...I just forgot."


Mike and Claire have decided to form a Neil Diamond tribute band.  They sit down together in Claire's living room to work on "Cherry Cherry."  Both of them are talented, seasoned performers and they come together smoothly.  While Mike sings lead vocals and plays guitar, Claire plays keyboard and does backup vocals.  They are quick to improvise new sounds and each complements the other perfectly.  Claire follows Mike's lead and enhances his sound with her own harmonies.  They are both really getting into the music, taken away by the sound they are able to produce together.  So absorbed by the jam session, both forget that it is nighttime and Grandma is sleeping in the next room.  An irritated voice breaks through their harmony: "Excuse me!"  A diminutive old lady with a cane is scowling at them: "Much too late for anyone to be singing that loud!"  Claire apologetically introduces Mike to her mother.  Mike: "How ya doin'?"  Grandma, bluntly: "Not good.  Sing softer."  She hobbles back to her bedroom.  Claire, to Mike: "I'd like to say that she's less grumpy in the day, but I'd be lying."


Claire is in bed when she begins to hallucinate that she is onstage, singing in front of an appreciative audience.  The combination of stress from her accident and heavy dosages of medication have made her mental health spiral into darkness.  Now, as she belts out a Patsy Cline tune, she sees herself in a simmering dress on a stage in a nightclub.  Suddenly, the reasoned voice of her husband Mike interrupts her vision.  He appears, trying to coax her offstage: "This isn't your show.  You're confused."  Claire protests, horrified, that Mike is embarrassing her in front of her audience.  But Mike continues to persuade her to stop the performance.  Our insight into Claire's hallucination disappears and we can now see reality.  Claire is in the front yard, headed toward the street in her bathrobe.  Her tearful children add their voices to Mike's, terrified to see their mother in such a state.  Claire's delusion continues: "What are you all doing up here?  What about the show?"  Rachel: "We just are trying to help you, Mom."  Claire, yelling: "No!  This is my show!  I'm not going to stop the show!"  Mike has to physically restrain his wife, who weeps uncontrollably: "Help me."  


Mike introduces himself with a short and poetic bio: "I am an entertainer."  Mike tells the audience, while strumming his guitar, that he is a musician through and through.  Although a mechanic by day, Mike's true love is music.  He is a member of several bands as well as a solo performer: "I sing all types.  I got Mellencamp, Elvis, Bon Jovi..."  Mike has created for himself a persona that he feels defines him and his music.  Calling himself Lightning and sporting a glittering bolt on his jacket, Mike aspires to be the persona he's created: "A superhero of rock and roll.  Lightning's a star.  Lightning's a rocking god.  He's like Chuck Berry, Barry Manilow and The Beatles all rolled into one.  He's singing the songs people love to hear.  The songs that people need.  The songs that I need."  With a heavy sign and a visible change, Mike's Lightning persona falls from him and he reverts to his other side.  Mike: "When the song's over and the applause stops, I'm not Lightning anymore.  I'm just another drunk.  Hello.  My name's Mike and I'm an alcoholic."  His fellow Alcoholic Anonymous members clap for him.


Mike is attending an AA meeting when a middle-aged woman with tears on her cheeks begins to share: "If you live long enough, you can see your dreams die a slow death.  Young people don't know how good they have it.  Not because they can touch their toes and screw all night."  (Begin clip at 0:38:02 to avoid this comment.)  "They haven't learned that most things just don't work out."  While the woman continues to share, we see Mike later on, starting to mow the lawn.  Woman: "Most times, you just mess it up, so it's easier not to try.  We're all just lookin' for some hope.  But, at my age, hope is hard.  Hope's not enough."  Mike pulls back repeatedly on the starter.  Suddenly, he collapses in pain, clutching his heart.  He gasps for breath, trying to move past the attack.  We flash back to the AA meeting, where the group is now standing, holding hands and praying for the hope they need: "God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

Claire tells Mike that her ex-husband always seemed to want to make her feel small.  Mike, remorsefully: "I got to say, with me and my ex, I was the one making her feel small.  I was selfish.  I was angry.  I was...wrong.  But I'm here, you know, trying to be better."  Claire: "Aren't we all?"


Tom reluctantly tells Mike that a miscommunication has potentially fatal consequences for their booking.  The band has showed up at a bar to play for what they thought was a motor home convention.  Instead, a group of hard-riding, leather-wearing motorcyclists have turned up expecting to hear a rock band.  Mike, in a yellow silk shirt, is determined to stick to the plan and play his usual Neil Diamond.  He ignores the pleas of his manager and the rest of the band to modify their set to better please their actual crowd.  Mike refuses to bend: "We're not changing our show."  Tom encourages him to at least start with some of Neil's more rock-sounding songs instead of Mike's standard but niche "Soolaimon."  But Mike won't compromise: "I'm in charge of this band and we open with "Soolaimon!"  Reluctantly, the band follows his lead.  They open as usual, and receive the response Tom expected.  While Mike croons Neil's smooth tune, the bikers scoff: "What is this trash?  I'm blinded by that shirt!  This is awful!  You're ruining my night!"  The band continues to sing, trying to ignore the obvious disgust of the crowd and the orders to "Play some rock and roll!"  But, when a thrown beer bottle smashes against the drum, the music finally stops.  Biker: "Neil Diamond sucks!"  Mike: "What did you say?"  Mike dives offstage and begins throwing punches.  An all-out brawl breaks loose.


Mike is helping Rachel change the oil in her car so she can make it to her shift on time.  Rachel, though only a teenager, feels as though she is carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders.  Tearfully, she tells Mike that she is worried about everybody: "Somewhere along the way, I got put in charge of everyone's problems.  I worry about my mother.  I worry about Dana.  I worry about you."  Mike tries to encourage Rachel but she hasn't yet told him the most pressing thing on her mind: "I'm pregnant."  Mike is shocked: "When?"  Rachel: "Four months ago."  Mike: "Four months?  How did we miss it?"  Rachel, her belly obviously swollen: "Because you're all crazy!  I'm huge!  How can you not see?"  Mike, who's been completely absorbed with Claire's accident: "We all put on a few pounds, I just thought it was a family phase."  Rachel tells Mike the father isn't going to be in the picture.  She starts to cry.  Mike comforts her.  Falling back on his military training, Mike thinks about how they can tackle this problem: "We got this thing in the Marines, it's called SMEAC.  It stands for situation, mission, execution, administration, and command.  It's a way to break down a problem real simple.  Okay.  So, what's the situation?"  Rachel: "I'm knocked up."  Mike: "Okay, so what's the mission?  What do you want to do about it?"  Rachel: "I want to give it to a couple that wants to have a baby."  Mike: "Okay, so that's the mission.  Now you got to execute, you've got to have the kid."  Rachel: "I already called the Adoption Information Center and there's a potential couple that could assist in medical bills and all that."  Mike: "Okay, so you already took care of the administration.  That just leaves command.  So, who do you want to be in charge of all this, helping you?"  Rachel, tearfully: "My mom."

It is afternoon and Claire lies in bed, struggling to wake up.  She winces in pain, pressing the stump of her amputated leg.  She still can't get used to how it feels.  Wanting to dull the ache, Claire reaches for her pill bottles.  Rachel walks into the room, reminding her mom that her therapy appointment is in a half hour.  But Claire can't face the permanence of her condition: "I don't think I can do that."  She hobbles back towards the bed, where she has been living ever since her accident.  Rachel is upset, hating to see her mother give up on life.  She again pushes Claire to get dressed and attend her appointment.  Claire refuses, asking repeatedly for just another "minute" to lie in bed.  Rachel keeps pushing until she can see her mom settling back in bed.  Claire: "Rachel, just give me a minute."  Rachel leaves.  The sun shines brightly across Claire's still body.  A few "seconds" later, a knock on the door irritates Claire.  She thinks it's Rachel returned to drag her to the appointment: "Give me a minute!"  The knocking persists.  A now angry Claire shuffles to the door only to find her son, Dana, there, telling her it's time for dinner.  Over her shoulder, we can see that darkness has descended.  Claire's "minute" of sinking into her depression has turned into hours.  (Caution: gd-word)
