ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement!

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

He sets up a classroom of sorts with a bulletin board reading: "How to be my friend."  Ron: "What is a friend, Barney?"  Barney, who has never had an actual friend, has trouble defining the concept: "Well, a friend is a person who, uh, likes...is always...I..."  Ron, repeating, as if he understands: "A person who, uh, likes...is always...I.  Okay!  Now I'm your best friend!"  Barney: "There's a lot more than that, Ron!"  And so, Barney begins to teach Ron how to be his friend, sticking notes on the bulletin board with each new concept.  Barney: "You have to know everything about me.  You have to like me, obviously.  Like all the same stuff as me.  And...you have to be on my side."  To help Ron fulfill the requirements of friendship, he begins to train him.  From his physical description to his allergies to his likes and dislikes, Barney teaches Ron to know him inside and out.


Barney looks out at the schoolyard, trying to steel himself for the ordeal ahead: "Okay.  18 minutes of recess hell.  You've got this!"  He watches as every other kid plays with their friends and their bots.  Barney, who has no bot, is always the odd man out.  His shoulders sag and he turns to go back into the school: "Maybe not."  Just then, a perky teacher stops him: "All alone again?"  Barney, embarrassed: "No!  I'm good."  Teacher: "On your birthday?"  Barney, thinking to himself: "Who told her?"  Teacher, overly sympathetic: "Your grandmother called the school."  Humiliated, Barney tries to come up with an excuse as to why he isn't heading out to recess, but the teacher isn't having it.  With a misplaced desire to help, she escorts him out to the schoolyard, where she proudly sits with him at the "Buddy Bench."  Above the bench are painted flowers and bunnies, and the words: "Need a friend?  One will be along soon!"  Teacher, smiling broadly: "This is gonna work, Barney.  You'll see."  Barney, looking out at his peers with fear: "It kind of makes things a lot worse."  But the smiling teacher refuses to be daunted, sure that her Buddy Bench will work wonders.  Every eye is now on Barney, but not in a good way.  One boy feels pity on Barney's situation, murmuring: "Brutal, man."  The teacher, her heart in the right place, even if her methods are counter-productive, pulls Barney in for what she thinks will be an encouraging hug: "Bring it in, brave soldier."  This act, of course, only brings mockery as Barney's peers recreate his hug with the teacher.  And, as a final nail in Barney's social coffin, the teacher gets up from the bench and approaches several students: "Will you go talk to Barney?  He loves rocks.  He needs friends.  It's his birthday."  Barney, horror-struck: "Kill me now."

Marc practices the speech he is about to give to thousands of eager consumers: "Have you ever felt completely alone?  Standing on the edge of things?  So awkward, not daring to approach anyone?  What if you could have one perfect friend who thinks you're awesome, who can help you find friends and make it all easy?"  Marc, the genius behind Bubble, a cutting-edge tech company, enters the Launchatorium to introduce his new product to the masses.  Marc: "This is finally it!  The day that we at Bubble give the whole world a new best friend!"  The crowd cheers.  On a giant screen, Marc's "algorithm for friendship" appears, a series of numbers and symbols that "drives your new best friend, the Bubble Bot."  A computerized voice announces: "Welcome to the future of friendship!"  A child is chosen from the audience to be the first to get a new friend.  She watches in amazement as a robot shaped like a large Tic-Tac descends from the sky.  She puts her hand on it and within seconds it begins to fill up with pictures of things she likes.  Ellie: "What's happening?"  Marc: "It's getting to know you!"  Pulling from Ellie's online data, the bot can know everything about Ellie in an instant, and it molds itself to be what she likes.  Ellie is amazed as she sees the bot become a character from a favorite show, play her favorite music, and give a 3-D experience of her much-beloved outer space.  The bot looks out at the audience, scanning the digital information of every child present.  It selects two who share the same interests as Ellie and brings them onstage.  Marc: "This is why we're here, Ellie.  To find you some new friends!"  Marc, as thousands of bots descend from the sky: "Let's do this!  Let's make friends!"


Barney wakes up on the day after his birthday to find that his dad has given him what he has always wanted…a Bubble Bot of his own.  (Barney doesn't know that this bot fell off the delivery truck and is missing critical code.)  When he places his hand on the robot to download his personal information, the bot shakes and pops, giving off a tiny burst of smoke.  Barney pries off its outer skin and sees that the download has stopped at 5%.  As he watches, it becomes 4%.  He shakes it and something starts to happen.  Two giant eyes appear and the robot shakily and ominously starts to stand.  The internet dial-up sound is heard and one of the eyes falls to the bottom of the bot.  It introduces itself: "Hi, Insert Registered Name!  I am your...your...your..."  Barney reminds the bot that it is a B-Bot, a "best friend out of the box."  Bot: "Insert registered name is my best friend.  Please connect me to the Bubble network."  Barney: "How?  You're not online?"  Bot: "I'll scan my database to figure out how to do it."  Barney, relieved: "Good."  After a few tortured seconds, the bot chirps: "The answer to your question is on the Bubble network.  Please connect me to the network, Insert Registered Name."  Barney, frustrated: "Stop saying that!  It's not my name!"  Bot: "No problem.  Please select a name from my internal database."  The bot begins listing boys' names in alphabetical order: "Aadash, Aaron, Abraham, Absalom..."  Barney, surprised: "Absalom?"  Bot: "Hi, Absalom?  I am Absalom's B-Bot!"  Barney tries to correct him, but the bot has only downloaded names for the letter A.  Bot: "Shall I complete my download?"  Barney: "Yes!"  Bot: "No problem.  Please connect me to the Bubble network."   


Ron and Barney are in the Bubble server room, where the data for the millions of Bubble bots is stored.  Ron looks up at a screen showing the bot-view of four of Barney's schoolmates.  These are four people he has grown up with, but who have always seemed too cool to be friends with him.  But now he sees them in a different light - - who they are when no one else is looking.  Ron: "They are not having fun."  Barney sees Savannah, the most popular girl in school, lying in bed with tears in her eyes.  She is staring at the comments she has received on social media.  She scrolls through hundreds of messages, all in reference to an embarrassing video that got posted on the internet.  She is now infamous around the world as "Poop Girl," and she is crushed.  Next, Barney sees Rich, an obnoxious kid obsessed with pranks.  He thinks he'll fit in if he's funny, but his videos have zero views and he stares at his screen in disappointment.  Then there's Noah, who spends all of his time playing internet video games.  The leaderboard is filled with his name, but for all his wins it hasn't made him happy.  Finally, Barney sees Ava, who is so lonely that she posts a photo of a circle of her own shoes with the caption, "Ready to party," hoping that people will believe that she is at a party with friends.  Barney can't believe what he is seeing: "I used to think that I was the lonely one." 


Barney hears Ron's words over again in his head: "Barney, are you MY friend?"  He had spent so long teaching the bot to be his friend that he had never stopped to wonder if he was a good friend to Ron.  He looks up at the bulletin board he had used to "train" Ron in friendship.  Everything centers around Barney.  "How to be my friend," "Like me," "Know everything about me," "Like what I like."  These words haunt Barney now as he realizes that he was a bad friend to the only friend he'd ever had.  Noises from the corner of the room reveal Ron, who is trying to wrap himself up in packaging in order to ship himself back to the Bubble facility.  Ron, repeating Barney's words from earlier: "I am a dumb bot."  Barney, overjoyed to see his friend: "No!  No, you're not.  I'm so sorry.  I was wrong."  Barney hugs Ron: "You are my friend."  As Ron unwraps himself, Barney takes a marker and begins to change his friendship bulletin board.  Now, it reads, "Be friends," "I like you," "Everything's about us," and "Like what you like."
