ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Movie Ideas, Movie Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show thousands of movie titles and TV shows from a number of producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 4,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including all the titles that  part of the ScreenVue Vault.

All such service providers are contractually required to keep your data safe, use it only for the purposes agreed, and delete it when it is no longer required. They have agreed not share it, nor use it for their marketing purposes.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Movie Ideas, Movie Views, and Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of content: 
- *Movie Ideas*: Has the "light-bulb icon," where you would use your own movie (Digital, Stream, Blu-ray, or DVD you already have access to) with our cues and details; as this idea is not available as a View or Download.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including movie content? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include movie content, the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming movie content - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream movie content inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include movie content, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

Gerry listens for the sound of water running in the bathroom before tiptoeing out of bed.  He reaches into his bag for his hidden bottle of liquor and quietly moves across the hotel room to get a coffee cup.  He pours himself a generous amount, his ear cocked for the sound of his wife in the next room, ready to hide what he's doing at the drop of a hat.  He gulps down the liquid and then carefully wipes down the cup with tissues so as not to leave any evidence behind.  He climbs back into bed just in time for Stella to return and sit on the bed next to him.


Stella has something on her mind.  "Gerry, I'm tired of living the way we do."  With her son living far away and no more grandchildren to look forward to, Stella feels rudderless: "What's my role?"  She wonders if her life is meaningless: "What if we've cut the cloth of our lives all wrong?"  She doesn't want to live a pointless life anymore.  "I keep thinking, Gerry, that I want to do something better."  Gerry: "What do you mean, better?  Better in what way?"  Stella: "I want to live a more devout life."  Gerry assumes that this religious awakening must mean that Stella is dying and he begins to panic.  Stella reassures him but tells her husband that she wants to live a more religious life and desires to meet with other women who are interested in "exploring the big questions."  Gerry, always the skeptic: "And there's somebody in there with all the answers, is there?"  Stella: "These are questions that you have to answer for yourself, Gerry."


Stella has decided to tell Kathy something she's never told anyone, not even her husband.  Teary-eyed, Stella tells Kathy of the worst moment of her life, the day she was caught in crossfire in Belfast while pregnant.  As she lay on the ground, bleeding and unable to move, she prayed to God to save her child.  "Lord, spare the child inside my womb and I will devote the rest of my life to You.  Lord, let my baby live and I will devote the rest of my life to You!"   God did spare Stella's son and he grew up to have a family of his own.  But, Stella knows she didn't keep her end of the deal.  "That vow, that pledge, that bargain...there is a debt to be paid and I've been looking for a way to pay it ever since."  Stella is crying now: "Here I am, at my age, and I've failed.  I'm a failure!"  Stella is fully aware of owing God for a debt she can never repay.


Stella is thinking back to the day that changed the course of her whole life.  It's a beautiful Belfast day.  Children are laughing and playing in the streets.  A young and very pregnant Stella is walking home with the groceries.  Stella, remembering: "We never speak about what happened in Belfast.  Perhaps because, beforehand, we were so full of hope."  The sound of gunshots is heard.  Stella's milk bottle is shattered and falls to the ground.  Stella: "A single day can change the course of any life."  Later, we see a nurse with blood on her hands running through the hospital, pushing Stella through to emergency surgery.  Still later, Gerry looks into the hospital nursery at his baby son.  Finally, we see the three of them leaving the only home they've ever known, feeling unmoored and adrift, their lives changed forever.

Stella and Gerry are visiting a chapel in Amsterdam that was erected to honor a local miracle.  Stella reads the brochure aloud, telling the story of a dying Catholic man who vomited up the "sacred host" into a bowl.  The contents of the bowl were thrown into the fire, but when the maid returned to clean the next day, the communion wafer was untouched by the flames.  A painting shows a glowing wafer being pulled from a flaming fireplace.  Stella is awed by the story, but Gerry is skeptical.  "It seems a bit...minor league as miracles go."  Stella: "You know as well as I do, Gerry, that miracles come in all shapes and sizes."  Gerry, knowing Stella is thinking of the salvation of her unborn baby from a stray bullet: "Stella, what happened to you was not miraculous.  It was perfectly within the bounds of possibility..."  Stella, hurt, storms out of the chapel.


Stella and Gerry are lying in bed when Stella's thoughts turn toward death.  She asks Gerry where he wants to be buried, but the question is only a practical precursor to the topic she really wants to discuss.  Stella: "What happens when all of this stops?"  Gerry, seemingly undisturbed by the thought of mortality and the afterlife: "Then...there'll be no more."  But, Stella isn't satisfied by his answer: "And what'll be the point, then?"  Gerry just looks at his wife, not responding.  Stella turns away, troubled.  (Caution: couple is nude in bed, nothing shown)


Niamh Cusack

Stella tells Gerry she is fed up with his alcoholism.  When she's talked to him about it, he's accused her of being a nag but when she doesn't she feels complicit.  Now, she feels she can no longer watch him kill himself.  Stella: "It's not just the drinking.  It's the deception that goes along with it.  It's ruining you."  Gerry is at first defensive, but when Stella continues, he finally caves: "Okay, fine.  I'll stop, okay?  No, I will.  I'll quit.  I mean it.  If you're serious about this then I am too."  Stella has no faith that her husband is committed: "I've heard it all before!"  Gerry: "I can do it, okay?  I can change.  I mean, I gave up the cigarettes, didn't I?  You think I don't know how to change?  You think I don't know what this stuff is doing to me?  Sure, I hate myself as much as you do when I'm drinking."  Stella: "Well, then, why in God's name do you put yourself through it?"  Gerry: "Because I hate myself even more when I'm not."
