ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

At the top navigation of any page, there are links to see: "All Scene Ideas," or "All Scene Views," or "All Scene Downloads."

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

Since Scuttle spends most of her time in the human world, she is considered an expert in all things created by man.  Ariel holds out a fork to the seagull: "Any idea what this is?"  Scuttle, adopting an awed tone: "This is very unusual."  Ariel, excited: "What is it?"  Scuttle: "It's a dinglehopper.  Humans use these babies to style their hair."  Scuttle proceeds to demonstrate, twisting the fork into her feathers: "You just give it a little twirl, a little yank, you might get some pieces with it, and you're left with an artistically pleasing conflagration of hair that humans go nuts for."  Trusting Scuttle's "wisdom," Ariel grabs the fork and starts combing her own hair with it.

After a fight with her father (see clip #CV11575), Ariel has retreated to her treasure trove of human artifacts.  She begins to sing about her longing to be part of the human world.  Ariel, looking around at everything she has collected: ♪ "Look at this stuff…wouldn't you think I'm the girl who has everything?" ♪ Although she has lots of possessions and is the daughter of the King of the sea, Ariel isn't content: ♪ "I want more.  I want to be where the people are.  I wanna see, wanna see 'em dancing..." ♪ She want legs to walk, not fins to swim.  Ariel imagines that life as a human would bring more freedom: ♪ "Wish I could be part of that world.  What would I give if I could live out of these waters?  What would I pay to spend a day warm on the sand?  Betcha on land they understand.  Bet they don't reprimand their daughters." ♪ She wants to know what life on land is like and she believes it must be better than what she has: ♪ "Out of the sea.  Wish I could be part of that world." ♪


King Triton is lecturing his teenage daughter for missing an important ceremony.  But when he discovers that she was gone because she was swimming in forbidden waters (see clip #CV11573), he is furious.  Ariel, with the assurance of youth: "You don't have to worry about me."  King Triton: "I do worry."  He forbids her to return to the shipwreck, but Ariel wants more freedom.  King Triton: "Why do you have to be so strong-minded?  Just like your mother."  Ariel: "I am her daughter.  If you would just try to understand..."  King Triton, losing his temper: "I have tried to understand you long enough.  But as long as you live in my ocean, you'll obey my rules!  Do you understand that?"  Angry, Ariel swims away.


King Triton knows that Ariel isn't happy being apart from Eric.  He shares his troubles with Sebastian, telling him that he has always tried to do what's best for his daughters.  Triton: "I've done everything in my power to make her happy."  Sebastian: "Well, not quite."  They both know what he means.  Up at the surface, Triton and Sebastian look at Ariel as she sits on a rock, staring longingly at Eric's castle.  Triton, sadly: "She wants a different life than I had planned for her.  I won't be able to protect her anymore."  Sebastian: "Children got to be free to lead their own lives."  Triton, resigning himself to letting Ariel go: "Then, there's just one problem left.  How much I'm going to miss my little one."


Ariel knows she's not allowed to swim near the shipwrecks because the area is known for sharks.  But her curiosity for all things human overcomes her, and she drags Flounder with her to hunt for treasures.  Flounder is reluctant to go into the dark wreck: "Let's get out of here."  But he prefers Ariel's company to waiting alone outside and so he follows her in.  Unseen by either, a shark swims along the top of the wreck.  When Flounder continues to express his fear, Ariel dismisses him: "Calm down.  Nothing is going to happen."  As soon as the word are out of her mouth, a shark appears outside the window. He dives through the rotting boards of the ship at Ariel and Flounder.  After a tense minute of cat-and-mouse, Ariel is able to trap the shark by using her reflection as bait.  Saved by the skin of their teeth, the two friends quickly swim away.

Knowing they only have three days to get true love's kiss, Scuttle, Flounder, and Sebastian decide that Eric needs a little prodding.  As Eric rows Ariel around the lake in the moonlight, Sebastian directs Scuttle and Flounder in providing a romantic ambiance.  Using the sounds of nature, they make gentle music in the background while Sebastian sits on Eric shoulder, whispering in his ear: ♪ "There, you see her.  There's something about her.  You don't know why, but you're dying to try, you wanna kiss the girl." ♪ Eric's subconscious hears the words and he looks at Ariel, realizing he does see something special in her.  


Ursula tells Ariel that she can change her into a human for three days.  But, if she fails to secure true love's kiss, she will belong to Ursula forever.  Sebastian tells Ariel to refuse the witch's temptation, but Ariel keeps listening to Ursula's promises.  Ursula: "We got a deal?"  Ariel thinks for a moment and then refuses: "No.  This is wrong.  I can't do this."  But Ursula knows how to manipulate Ariel and once again the mermaid is considering the offer.  Ursula, singing: ♪ "Come on, you poor unfortunate soul.  Go ahead, make your choice!  It won't cost much." ♪ Ursula prods and prompts until Ariel gives in.  Ursula cackles with evil glee.


Eric looks out at the roiling ocean: "There's a storm coming in fast."  Quickly, he starts barking orders to the sailors to prepare their ship for the coming storm.  The men instantly obey, hurrying over the ship to batten down the hatches and pull in the sails.  The waves grow higher and higher and the captain is washed away from the tiller.  Eric rushes to steer the ship away from the approaching rocks.  But it is too late.  The waves are too high and the rocks are too close.  The ship crashes and fire starts to spread across the decks.


Ursula has used King Triton's trident to make herself enormous.  Eric and Ariel are swimming in the water below, trying to avoid her murderous tentacles.  Ursula waves the trident, gloating: "Now I rule the seas and all will be helpless under my power!"  Ursula stirs the waves with the trident, creating an enormous whirlpool.  She hopes to suck Eric and Ariel into its depths.  As the two struggle to stay afloat, they notice that the whirlpool has done something else.  It has dredged a ship up from the bottom of the sea.  Ariel grabs the tiller and turns the ship towards the witch.  While Ursula is busy trying to strike down Eric with the trident, Ariel plunges the ship into Ursula.  Ursula sinks back into the depths of the sea.  (Caution: scene may frighten some viewers)

After she failed to hold up her end of the bargain, Ariel is now Ursula's prisoner.  As Ursula drags Ariel towards her lair, King Triton stops them: "Let her go."  Ursula: "Forget it, big brother.  She belongs to me now."  All of Triton's strength is powerless against the contract Ariel signed with Ursula.  Ursula: "We made a deal in blood.  It's unbreakable.  Even for you."  Triton: "What do you want with my daughter?"  Ursula: "It's you I want.  I want to see you suffer."  Ariel tries to escape, but Ursula's electric eels trap her, shocking her constantly with their electricity.  As King Triton watches his daughter suffer under the electrocution, he knows he will do anything to save her.  Ursula: "What do you say to a trade?  What's your precious little Ariel worth to you?"  King Triton gives Ursula his trident, making her the new ruler of the seas and forfeiting his own life.  Ursula laughs evilly as her eels now bind Triton, who disintegrates before their eyes to become part of Ursula's garden of unfortunate souls.  (Caution: scene may frighten some viewers)
