ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement!

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

On the street, Margaret sits in her dilapidated van - - the homeless woman who has taken up residence on their middle class street.  From Alan's perspective, the neighbors tolerate her not from genuine benevolence, but from guilt over their own prosperity: "Their consciences absolved by her presence."  Each of them, whatever their motives, try to help Miss Shepherd.  We see Rufus, glancing around to make sure no one notices, help her open a jar.  Instead of thanks, he receives a bold, dismissive stare.  Later, a family with two children come to the van bearing Christmas presents.  Margaret snatches the presents from the children and then snaps: "Shut the door!  I'm a busy woman!"  Their smiles fade and they quickly back away, feeling insulted.  Later, Pauline arrives carrying a dish of creme brulee.  Smiling, she hands it to Margaret, who takes it, sniffs it, scowls, and sets it in the back of the van without a word.  Miffed, Pauline leaves.

Miss Shepherd sits in the confessional, tears in her eyes, whimpering quietly.  Her mind goes back to the same dreadful sin of her past that repeatedly torments her.  On the other side of the barrier, the priest listens as Miss Shepherd, again, tells him of her guilt.  As if trying to convince herself that she's been forgiven already, she tells the priest of a previous time when she confessed this sin.  (It was in another country, with another language, so she isn't sure it "counted.")  The priest, patiently trying to comfort her: "My child, you have already been given absolution for this particular sin.  I have given you it myself on several occasions.  Have faith.  Absolution is not like a bus pass.  It does not run out."

Alan looks out his window to see Miss Shepherd praying in her van.  He wonders why she is so fervent in her supplication: "It is seldom a tranquil or meditative process.  The fervor of her intercessions rocking her to and fro.  What is it she's wanting forgiveness for?"  Inside her van, Miss Shepherd is on her knees, kneeling before a makeshift altar.  She prays in an anguished spirit, desperate for God to answer.  Alan: "I used to pray myself when I was young, but never like this.  I'd never done anything.  But what has she done?"

Alan has come to the convent to ask the sisters for help in caring for the destitute Margaret.  (She was once a nun in this same convent.)  The unsmiling woman who answers the door is hardly gracious.  Recognizing Alan, she knows immediately who he has come for: "Difficult woman."  Alan, a little surprised at this attitude from a nun, reminds her that Margaret is one of her own body of believers: "A Catholic."  Grudgingly, the nun allows Alan inside the convent.  When the nun asks him why he has come, Alan answers: "I was wondering if there was a nun available who could talk to her, do her some shopping."  Nun, acting offended: "We don't have shopping nuns!  It's a strict order!"  Alan recalls seeing one of the nuns buying cookies just the day before.  Nun, defensively: "The Bishop may have been coming."  Alan alone sees the irony of her priorities.  Alan: "She's ill.  She's a Catholic, and I think she might be dying."  Nun, reluctantly, as if making a great concession: "Well, they can pray for her.  Only you'll have to fill in a form."  The woman huffs out of the room to grab a form and Alan stops to look at the painting of Christ hanging on the wall.

Alan is talking to himself at Margaret's grave when she suddenly appears before him.  (Talking to himself, to Alan's fertile imagination, means that an identical clone appears in this entire scene.)  Alan and his imaginary clone begin following Margaret around the graveyard.  On the way, she tells them her ideas for Alan's book about her life.  She hopes that Alan will make it exciting: "This thing you're trying to write.  You could pump it up a bit.  I mean, why?  Why did you just let me die?  I'd like to go up into heaven.  An ascension, possibly.  A transfiguration."  Alan shakes his head: "That's not really my kind of thing."  Just then, Margaret spots another "ghost" and pulls him forward to introduce him to Alan.  The young man, a cigarette dangling from his mouth, smiles.  He is the man whose memory has tormented Margaret for much of her adult life.  (Through no fault of her own, she had killed him in a car accident.)  The two dead souls begin to walk away together.  Alan turns to himself: "Well, she wanted an ascension.  Let's answer her prayers."  Suddenly, the graveyard brightens and the clouds in the sky open.  Beams of light shine down on Margaret and she lifts her arms to the sky.  A gigantic, smiling, bearded old man in a robe leans down through the clouds.  Margaret, joyfully, begins to rise into the clouds, where cherubic child-like angels sit with harps.  The bearded old man, meant to represent God, opens his arms wide to receive Margaret.  The clouds close around them.
