ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

## How We Use Cookies

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

Jeff is narrating a peaceful scene in an upper-middle class neighborhood.  Sprinklers nourish fresh, green lawns.  Kids walk dogs down clean, pleasant streets.  An elderly couple sits in rocking chairs on their front porch, enjoying the day.  The sun shines down on the beautiful homes in the quiet cul-de-sac.  Jeff: "I have this poster in my office that says, 'Keep calm and go to your safe place.'  Well, when I get a little stressed out or my anxiety spikes, I close my eyes and picture my cul-de-sac, and my wonderful wife Karen and our two sons, Patrick and Mikey.  Because that's the place where I know everything is always okay.  No matter what."  The camera focuses in on Jeff's lovely home.  Suddenly, it explodes in a ball of fire.

Jeff's job in the human relations department involves helping employees work out relational issues with their co-workers.  He sits in his office with two employees who have been quarreling.  Yang, hoping to avoid a write-up, explains that the two have resolved their differences already.  Jeff: "I wouldn't be doing my job if we didn't go over a couple of exercises."  He holds out a bowl filled with red stress balls and tells the men to each take one.  They comply, with heavy sighs.  Later, Jeff is practicing "trust falls" with two female employees in need of relationship help.  He blindfolds one, telling her they are going to demonstrate trust.  Back to the two previous employees, Jeff orders Yang to tell Oren how he makes him feel.  Yang and Oren stare at each other, uncomfortable and highly reluctant to engage in the forced interaction.  Yang, looking back at Jeff: "Maybe you should just write us up.  That might be easier."  Again, Jeff is shown with the trust fall women.  Jeff, talking to the blindfolded woman: "Okay, Margaret, go ahead."  But Jeff has forgotten to tell her where her co-worker is standing.  She falls in the wrong direction, landing on the floor with a groan.

Natalie approaches the dart throwing contest just as Dan has won for the fifth year in a row.  Dan, gloating and still wanting to show off a bit, grabs Natalie and tells her to try to throw a dart.  Natalie is reluctant, but Dan is persuasively condescending: "I'll even show you the famous Craverston grip, okay?"  Putting his arm around the beautiful girl, he tells her exactly how to hold the dart in her hand.  Natalie, following his directions, but exaggerating them to a ridiculous degree, moves her arm in a few practice throws: "Like this?  This is good?"  Dan, laughing: "You kind of throw like a girl.  But, when a girl is as beautiful as you, she doesn't have to be good."  Natalie fakes a laugh: "Do you mind if I skip the Craverston grip?"  Dan, certain she'll fail miserably: "Okay.  Good luck."  Natalie turns a focused gaze to the dart board, throwing three perfect darts in a matter of seconds.  Natalie, smiling at Dan: "Maybe I should show you how to throw like a girl."  She walks away, to the applause of everyone except Dan.

Jeff has just learned that his friend and co-worker, Dan, has been stealing top secret devices from their company and selling them to an arms dealer.  Jeff, trying to understand Dan's choices, sits down to talk with him: "We live in confusing times, and I think that the lines between right and wrong become blurry."  Tim joins the two men: "It's hard to even know what those words mean, isn't it, Dan?"  Jeff tells Dan that, as an HR employee, he knows how many requests for a raise Dan has made and had denied in the previous five hears.  Tim, nodding sympathetically: "That's a lot of time you gave to the company.  Where's your piece of the pie?"  Dan, opening up to the supposedly empathetic listeners: "Exactly.  Do you know how hard it is to raise four children on a rocket scientist's salary?"  At this point, Dan and his wife begin attacking and blaming each other for their situation.  Dan: "You're the one who pushed me into this, you know that?  With all your constant demands and trendy needs."  Dan turns to Jeff: "I was at the end of my rope.  I mean, the financial pressure was crazy.  Groceries and tutors...I got four kids under 13 in braces!  Do you understand?  Do you, Jeff?"  Jeff, nodding in feigned understanding: "I do.  If kids have crooked teeth, we can't have crooked teeth in this society.  There's all sorts of things you have to keep up with...new tires for the minivan, piano lessons.  And, because of all that..."  Here, Jeff begins to yell, grieved by the terrible consequences of Dan's greed: "Carl Pronger is dead!"

Jeff, Karen, Tim, and Natalie are being held captive by an arms dealer calling himself the Scorpion.  Tim, knowing his lies got Jeff into this situation, apologizes.  The Scorpion scoffs, wondering why he would care about a nobody like Jeff.  Tim, a career spy, to the Scorpion: "You and I live in a world where everybody lies.  And everybody hides everything and obfuscates.  But not Jeff Gaffney.  Jeff doesn't live in that world.  He's an honest person.  He's forthright, he's friendly.  He's a good neighbor.  Do you have any idea how much courage that takes?  Real courage?"  Tim, surrounded by thugs with automatic weapons, looks at average-Joe Jeff: "For my money, he's the bravest guy in this room."

Jeff, Karen, Tim, and Natalie are trapped in a hallway of the hotel by a pack of armed villains.  While Natalie holds them off with her few remaining bullets, Tim tries to break a large window looking out over the pool several stories below.  They finally succeed in breaking the window just as Natalie runs out of bullets.  She comes running down the hall, urging them all to jump.  Without hesitation, Karen, Tim, and Natalie jump out of the window and land safely in the pool below.  Very quickly, the three notice that Jeff is not with them.  They look up and see Jeff, frozen in fear, staring down at them from the window.  They call to him desperately to jump, but Jeff still hesitates, unable to overcome his fear.  Just then, the armed villains round the corner and point their weapons at Jeff.  Jeff tries to talk them out of it, but the leader fires his gun and Jeff knows he has no choice.  He turns and jumps out of the window, landing safely in the pool.  (Caution: a-word spoken, woman's dress shows large amount of cleavage)
