ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

He begins to sing as he walks toward her house: ♪ "I deserve a little kindness.  I deserve my due respect.  I deserve to be beloved, just like everybody else.  I deserve my place in heaven.  I deserve an equal share.  I deserve my rightful cut of everything, everywhere.  I deserve a happy life.  Whatever I'm not given...I'll take." ♪ The duke is unaware that the priest he sent to Roxanne's house to force her to marry him is currently marrying her to someone else.  As the preacher reads the vows, speaking of love as it is described in Corinthians, the duke describes a very different kind of love: ♪ "I deserve a little kindness.  I deserve my due respect.  I deserve to be beloved, just like everybody else.  I deserve to be forgiven.  Whatever I'm not given...I'll take!" ♪ He opens the door to Roxanne's rooms just in time to see the last moment of her marriage ceremony.


Cyrano tells Christian that Roxanne believes she is in love with him.  Christian is elated: "She loves me!"  Cyrano tells Christian that Roxanne wants a letter from him.  Christian's enthusiasm fades abruptly: "Oh.  Impossible.  If I write to her, I'd drive her away."  Cyrano: "Really?  Why?"  Christian: "I can't write love letters."  Cyrano: "You just say what you feel.  As long as it's true, you can't go wrong."  Christian: "But a woman like Roxanne wants wit, romance."  His face falls even further: "Maybe even poetry."  Cyrano, laughing: "You're right.  You better leave town."


Sister Claire worries about Cyrano.  She knows he is starving (although he always claims to have eaten the best meat) and she is concerned for his eternal soul.  When Cyrano makes his usual joke about meat, Sister Claire promises to give him a warm bowl of soup.  Roxanne: "I think Sister Claire is trying to convert you."  Sister Claire, defensively: "I am not.  Mother warned me off."  The sister turns to leave but Cyrano calls after her: "Tonight, I will let you pray for me."  Sister Claire, with a small smile: "I have not waited for your permission."


Valvert calls across the crowded theater to Cyrano: "You!  You're a freak."  The crowd gasps.  However, Cyrano keeps his cool, having heard it many times before: "The insult is antique, but I accept it."  Cyrano, who is a little person, is used to being insulted and looked down upon for his appearance.  Valvert repeats himself: "Freak."  Cyrano: "Is that it?  Have you exhausted your dictionary of scorn?"  Valvert, enjoying his audience, continues to mock Cyrano, ending by giving him the ultimate insult.  Valvert slaps Cyrano in the face with his glove, the recognized challenge to a duel.  Valvert pulls out his sword: "I'll make short work of this."  The two men begin to duel.  Cyrano is clearly just defending himself and has no desire to kill Valvert.  Valvert punctuates his sword thrusts with continued insults, but neither seem to pierce Cyrano.  Cyrano explains his seeming tough exterior: ♪ "Sir, when I was born, the nurses laughed hysterically.  They'd never seen anything quite like me, apparently.  I'll never forget it, I can still hear them joking.  One said, 'My goodness, what has God been smoking?'  From when I was born, I learned to control my tears." ♪  Cyrano tells of a lifetime of cruel words and mocking tones.  But he knows he is more than what others see on the outside: ♪ "Can't you see I'm much more than you think?  I've heard it all so many times.  Everybody knows I'm much more than a freak.  If you wanna try to hurt me, you better get in line." ♪

Christian, passionate but slightly stupid, and Cyrano, witty but very short, are both in love with Roxanne.  Cyrano, who feels Roxanne could never love a little person, has agreed to help Christian woo her heart.  He hides in the darkness, ready to give Christian the words to say that would make Roxanne love him.  But Christian's delivery leaves something to be desired.  He stumbles over Cyrano's beautiful sentiments and needs prompting even over Roxanne's name.  Finally, Cyrano decides to speak for himself.  Still hiding in darkness and pretending to be Christian, Cyrano speaks the words he has always longed to: "I like being invisible to each other.  I cannot be stunned into silence by your beauty.  Here in this awkwardness, I am free at last to speak from my heart."  Roxanne, suspicious: "Why is your voice an octave lower?"  Cyrano: "I'm daring to be myself."  Roxanne: "Why would you fear to be yourself?"  Cyrano: "To be laughed at."  Roxanne: "For what?"  Cyrano: "For having too much emotion.  I do not look..."  Cyrano shakes his head, correcting himself: "...speak as I feel."


Marie is helping Roxanne get dressed for the theater.  As they dress, the older spinster encourages the young woman to marry the duke.  Ever practical, Marie reminds Roxanne that they are penniless and a marriage to the duke would secure her future.  But Marie does not love the duke and refuses to marry him.  Marie: "A clever marriage is your only option."  Roxanne: "And love...does that mean nothing to you?"  Marie: "It might smell rosy for a year or two, but love doesn't last.  What lasts is commitment and sacrifice."


All around the camp on the front lines, men are writing letters to their loved ones, saying a final goodbye in case of death.  Several men read their letters aloud. Man 1:  ♪ "I promised I'd be home all right, but I gotta lay this body down.  So, take this letter to my wife.  And tell her that I loved my life.  And tell my boys, the Lord He found me.  And tell 'em not to cry at all.  Heaven is wherever I fall." ♪  Another man regrets not telling his girl that he loved her, ending: ♪"And tell her...not to cry at all.  Heaven is wherever I fall."♪  The third man thinks of his father: ♪ "I have a father.  He isn't well.  He thinks he might be going to hell.  He was a sinner.  He liked to fight.  So, I don't know, he might be right.  He wasn't one of God's best men, but I loved him anyway.  So, take this letter to him, please.  And tell him I can't wait to see him." ♪  The son promises that he will go into eternity before his father and make the way for him: ♪ "Tell him not to cry at all.  Heaven is wherever I fall." ♪
