ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

At the top navigation of any page, there are links to see: "All Scene Ideas," or "All Scene Views," or "All Scene Downloads."

When you click on a Theme and see the results, there is a "Filter Scenes" option to show: All Scenes, Scene Views Only, Scene Downloads Only, or both Scene Views and Downloads Only.

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

Judah travels to Jerusalem to take part in an epic chariot race. On the day of the race, as the riders are lining up their horses at the gates, Judah is stationed next to his enemy, Messala, who tells Judah: "You should have stayed away." Judah: "You should have killed me."  Messala: "I will..."

Judah and his brother Messala are racing their horses at a break-neck pace through the desert.  Cornering stone boulders so closely they scrape against their bodies, the brothers seem fearless as to danger.  They cross the finish line.  Judah, in first place, has only a moment to laugh before his horse suddenly trips.  In a split-second, the horse collapses and Judah is thrown to the ground.  Screaming, Messala dives off his own horse and runs back to his brother.  Judah is unconscious, his head bleeding.  Messala screams for help.

Judah and Esther watch as a Zealot is led away to crucifixion.  Judah has no pity for the Zealots, whom he feels do little more than anger Rome.  Esther defends them: "All they want is freedom."  Judah, however, believes their freedom is too costly.  Suddenly, a voice from nearby breaks in on their conversation: "There is freedom elsewhere."  A Carpenter is working with wood.  He continues: "Love your enemies."  Judah scoffs: "That's very progressive."  Jesus: "It's the truth.  God is love.  He made us to share that love."  Judah: "And where will your love be when the Romans turn their anger on the rest of us?"  Jesus: "Hate and fear are lies.  They turn us against each other.  Those are the lies that make us slaves."

With Jesus's words still ringing in her ears (see scene # CV09233), Esther wonders aloud if His better way of life might be the truth.  Judah disagrees, believing they just need to keep their heads down, endure Roman rule, and survive: "Look around.  The roads are lined with the sick and the poor.  We should be grateful we're not one of them."  Esther argues for taking action: "We can be more than grateful."  Judah: "It's our responsibility to take care of ourselves and the ones we love.  If people took care of themselves, we'd all be saved."  Esther: "If God is righteous, then we should do righteous things."  Judah, blaming God for the ills he sees around him: "If there is a God, then why doesn't He do right by the world?"  Esther walks away, leaving Judah to stare up at a darkening sky.

Judah is in chains, a prisoner of Rome.  An armed guard of centurions is escorting him through the streets of Jerusalem.  Beaten and weary, Judah limps along, a heavy yoke upon his back.  Seeing his wife in the crowd, Judah tries to walk to her, but a centurion throws him to the ground.  He lies there, bleeding and in pain, while Esther pleads for mercy.  Running to a well, she fills a bowl, hoping to give him a drink.  The centurion wrenches it from her grasp, refusing her request.  Esther whispers a prayer: "Someone help us!"  Just then, Jesus approaches.  Everyone in the crowd is silenced by His Presence.  The anger of the centurion changes to awe as Jesus looks into his eyes.  Jesus takes the bowl from the soldier's hand and bends down to Judah, giving him a drink.  Judah whispers: "Thank you."  Jesus: "You do the same."

Judah has now been a slave on a Roman ship for five long years.  His back scarred by whippings, he sits in the dark hold with dozens of other slaves, manning the oars.  As the slaves row, sweat dripping off their bodies, Quintus descends, complaining that they are moving too slowly.  Moving down the ranks of weary men, the hardened commander picks one out from the crowd, ordering his execution.  The man pleads for his life, but Quintus is merciless, pulling out his sword and doing the job himself.  The slave next to Judah begins to silently cry.  Judah, whispering: "No, don't!  Don't care.  Just survive."  While soldiers carry the man's body out of the hold, Quintus addresses the rest of the slaves: "Forget about them!  For there is no 'you' anymore!  This ship is your body.  That drum is your heartbeat!  And your god is the glory of Rome!  If this ship goes down, so do you."  Quintus orders the slaves to be chained to their oars before leaving to return to the deck.  As the door to the hold closes behind Quintus, the light disappears, leaving the slaves once again in the darkness.  (Caution: scene may disturb some viewers)

Pilate and his soldiers come upon a group of Jews in the process of stoning a leper.  Pilate stops, interested in the proceedings, watching as the sick man is pummeled by rocks.  Suddenly, Jesus arrives on the scene and throws His own body on top of the wounded man.  He cries out to the crowd to stop throwing stones: "Don't!  Please don't!  This man is your neighbor!  The Torah tells us to love your neighbor as we love ourselves!"  Several more rocks fly, striking Jesus, who covers the man.  Finally, the crowd stops, moved by Jesus's mercy.  Jesus, His head bleeding, lifts the sick man and addresses the crowd: "Hate, anger, fear, those are lies they use to turn you against each other.  When you set aside the hate they force you to carry, that's when you know, love is our true nature."  Jesus holds the man, gently bathing his face with water.  Pilate watches Jesus disgustedly: "This is the poison.  That man offers the people something more and calms them with compassion.  This Jesus of Nazareth is more dangerous than all of the Zealots combined."

It is the final stage of the chariot race.  Judah and Messala are the two remaining competitors.  Judah, half a lap behind, whips his horses, urging them on until he is neck-and-neck with Messala.  The crowd roars, chanting Judah's name, as he begins to pass his brother.  The chariots race around the track at breakneck speed, nearing the final lap.  Suddenly, Judah's chariot strikes an obstacle and Judah flies off, hanging onto the vehicle by the reins.  As his horses continue to race, Judah is drug behind, hanging on for his life.  The crowd's cheers turn to cries of disappointment, as they believe Judah is out of the race for good.  As Judah continues to be drug behind his horses, Messala taunts him, deliberately maneuvering his chariot closer in order to trample Judah.  Just before the horses trample him under their hooves, Judah remembers his time on the slave ship and the endurance that was required for his survival.  Harnessing all his strength, Judah slowly begins to pull himself back onto the chariot.  The crowd again cheers his name and Judah is back in the competition.  Furious, Messala swings his chariot to the side, catching Judah's wheel on his own.  The two chariots are now locked together.  Messala begins to strike Judah with his whip, finally succeeding in wrapping it around the man's neck.  Judah struggles, freeing himself by slashing Messala's cheek with a knife.  Again, Messala tries to unseat Judah, this time thrusting him nearly off his chariot.  As Judah dangles off the back, still holding onto the reins, Messala lifts his foot, intending on killing his brother.  Before he can, however, the chariots come apart and Messala's chariot falls to pieces.  Still dangling off the side and now missing a wheel, Judah hangs onto the reins long enough to cross the finish line.

Jesus's followers are sleeping in the Garden of Gethsemane the night before His death.  Jesus awakens Peter, hearing the sound of approaching feet.  Judas greets Jesus with a kiss.  Moments later, the garden explodes with soldiers.  As they move in to take Jesus prisoner, Peter lashes out with his sword, cutting the ear off one of the men.  Jesus runs to stand between Peter and the other soldiers, crying out: "Peter!  No trouble!  Those who live by the sword will die by the sword."

Jesus is carrying His cross down a street crowded with onlookers.  The heavy beam drags on His wounded shoulders.  The crown of thorns digs into His bloodied face.  Suddenly, He collapses and falls to the ground.  Judah runs up and offers Him a drink of water, remembering when Jesus had once done the same for him.  A centurion approaches, shouting: "No water for him!"  Ignoring the soldier, Judah offers the cup to Christ: "Drink."  Jesus looks up at him.  The bloodshot eyes, cracked lips, and wounded face cannot hide the love in the eyes.  Suddenly, the centurion strikes Judah with his whip: "No water for him!"  Judah, furious, closes his fist over a stone, intending to retaliate.  Jesus reaches out an arm, stopping him: "No, Judah!  My life...I give it of My own free will."

Jesus, at the end of His life, whispers: "It is finished."  As He takes His last breath, thunder rumbles and dark clouds cover the sky.  Judah watches, in tears, as the soldiers pierce Christ's side.  He falls to his knees, sobbing, and it begins to rain.  The rain washes Jesus's blood down the cross, draining it into the soil of the mountain.  In the caves below, two lepers are imprisoned.  The rain mingled with blood falls on them and they are healed.  Naomi, amazed: "We are healed.  How could this be?"  Their sores gone, the women look up in joy as Ilderim enters the room.  Holding out a bag of coins to the jailer, Ilderim reaches a hand out to the women: "Come.  You are free."

Judah enters the colosseum, hoping to find his brother, Messala, still alive.  He hears a voice coming from a forgotten corner of the crowded room: "I see you."  Following the voice, Judah sees that Messala is lying on a stretcher, battered and bloody from their recent chariot race.  His right leg is missing at the knee.  Angrily, Messala calls to his brother: "Come see what you did to me.  As long as I live, I'll claw at you.  And if I die, I'll drag you beneath the ground beside me!  With the last of me, I'll choke the life from you!"  Filled with bitterness, Messala lifts his sword, waving it threateningly at Judah.  Judah approaches slowly, with eyes of love: "No more slaughter."  Messala: "You did this!"  Judah stands just outside sword's reach: "Remember when we were young?  When I was hurt and you carried me with all your strength, for as long as you could?  I can't fight anymore.  I can't hate anymore.  All I can do is carry you."  With Messala's sword still raised in the air, Judah bends down to pick up his brother.  Messala drops his weapon and embraces Judah, weeping.  Messala: "Forgive me!"  Judah, returning the embrace: "No, forgive me."
