ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

## How We Use Cookies

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

Once upon a time, there was a rich and handsome prince.  He did not rule his country with justice and wisdom, but instead used his position to fill his coffers with gold and surround himself with beautiful things.  "Although he had everything his heart desired, the prince was selfish and unkind."  Dressed in lace and silks, the painted prince dances in a gilt ballroom with the most beautiful ladies of the land.  All is beauty and luxury until a knock sounds on the door, interrupting the revelry, and a haggard old pauper enters the room.  She begs the prince for shelter from the storm, offering a rose in exchange for his help.  The prince laughs in her face, disgusted by her appearance and irritated by the interruption of his fun.  Narrator: "But she warned him not to be deceived by appearances, for beauty is found within.  When he dismissed her again, the old woman's outward appearance melted away to reveal a beautiful enchantress."  The prince falls to his knees, awed by the beautiful, glowing vision before him.  "The prince begged for forgiveness, but it was too late.  For she had seen that there was no love in his heart.  As punishment, she transformed him into a hideous beast."

Gaston, in his usual self-focused, oblivious way, proposes marriage to Belle.  Actually, it is less a proposal than an assumption, and Belle refuses to go along with the delusion.  Pointedly telling the egocentric fellow that she will never marry him, Belle watches in exasperation as he struts away, undaunted from his determined pursuit of her.  Belle begins to sing of her own dreams: ♪ "Madame Gaston, can't you just see it?  Madame Gaston, his little wife.  No sir, not me.  I guarantee it.  I want much more than this provincial life!" ♪  Belle runs to the hill outside the village and looks out over the wide and wild landscape: ♪ "I want adventure in the great somewhere!  I want it more than I can tell.  And, for once, it might be grand to have someone understand.  I want so much more than they've got planned." ♪

Belle arrives at the castle and discovers her elderly father locked in a frigid prison cell.  Maurice warns her to leave the bewitched castle at once, but Belle refuses to abandon her father.  Just then, Beast arrives, angrily telling Belle that Maurice will be imprisoned forever for stealing a rose.  Belle, knowing the rose was for her, offers to take her father's place: "Punish me, not him."  Maurice, horrified, begs Belle to escape while she can, but the Beast offers Belle a choice.  He must have a prisoner, and it can be either of them.  Belle looks in despair from the fearsome, fanged face of the Beast to that of her sick, imprisoned father.  She pushes Maurice out of the cell before he can stop her and locks herself inside.  Beast, surprise in his tone: "You took his place!"  Belle, simply: "He's my father."  Snarling, the Beast condemns such love as foolishness, but accepts Belle's sacrifice.

Handsome, but vain, Gaston could have his pick of any woman in town.  But his desire is for the one girl who spurns his affections.  He stares mournfully into the fire while his friend, LeFou, comforts him by reminding him of his many virtues: ♪ "There's no man in town as admired as you.  You're everyone's favorite guy.  Everyone's awed and inspired by you.  And it's not very hard to see why!   No one's slick as Gaston.  No one's quick as Gaston.  No one's neck's as incredibly thick as Gaston.  No man in town's half as manly." ♪ An admiring group of ladies joins in: ♪ "Perfect!  A pure paragon!" ♪ Gaston smirks self-confidently.  LeFou dances around the room, continuing to sing of Gaston's varied accomplishments:  darts, wrestling, hunting, fighting, and even spitting.  Warmed to the theme, Gaston joins in, flexing his muscles in a stretch: ♪ "As a specimen, yes, I'm intimidating." ♪ Climbing up on a table, Gaston proceeds to sing his own praises, acting out his victories in all his many pursuits.  The other townsfolk sing along, agreeing completely: ♪ "Say it again!  Who's a man among men?  Who's a super success?  There's just one guy in town who's got all of it down!" ♪ Everyone lifts their glasses, toasting Gaston's perfection.

It is night, and Belle is galloping away from the castle in order to escape the Beast.  In the dark and frozen woods, a pack of wolves begins to pursue her.  Belle tries to ride faster, but the wolves soon close in, forcing her onto an icy pond.  She jumps from her frightened horse and tries to scare the wolves away with a stick.  They easily tear it from her grasp.  The alpha dog snarls, leaping for her throat.  Before it can reach her, a large figure suddenly leaps out of nowhere and tackles the wolf to the ground.  The Beast, who has come to save Belle, is in the middle of the wolf pack, being nipped and torn from every direction.  But he fights them off, one by one, until even the leader has slunk away.  But the fight has taken its toll, and the Beast, with one last glance at Belle, collapses to the ground.  Belle prepares to remount her horse and continue her escape.  She pauses, thinking of what the Beast has just done for her.  Knowing she can't just leave him to die when he risked himself to save her, Belle kneels by the Beast, covering him with her cloak.  Encouraging him to stand, she gently helps him onto her horse and begins to lead him back to the castle.

The Beast is furiously getting ready for an impromptu dance with Belle.  Nervous, he already regrets the suggestion, wondering how he should act.  His servants encourage him to tell Belle how he feels about her.  Beast, soggy from his bath: "I feel like a fool!  She will never love me."  Lumiere: "Don't be discouraged.  She is the one."  Beast: "I wish you'd stop saying that!  There is no 'one.'"  The servants tell the Beast that he must woo Belle and create an atmosphere of romance.  Plumette: "Yes, and when the moment's just right..."  Beast, confused: "Well, how will I know?"  Cogsworth: "You will feel slightly nauseous."  The servants encourage the Beast to set aside his nerves and proceed to help him get ready for the date.  They brush his fangs, steam-clean his claws, polish his horns, and clip his mane.  Finally, they apply powder, makeup, and a wig, and face him toward the mirror to see the final product.  His snaggle-toothed grin fades when he sees the ridiculous clown-like spectacle he makes.  Lumiere, encouragingly: "I can fix this."

The Beast and Belle have just enjoyed a romantic evening of dancing.  Standing out on the terrace, under the stars, the Beast quietly asks: "It's foolish, I suppose, for a creature like me to hope that one day he might earn your affection?"  Belle's expression give the Beast reason to hope: "You think you could be happy here?"  Belle, thinking: "Can anybody be happy if they aren't free?"  The Beast appears to ponder this, not answering.  When Belle begins to speak fondly of her father, the Beast is moved to help her see him again.  He gives her a magical mirror and she asks to see an image of her father.  When the mirror reveals that her father is in danger, the Beast releases her from her promise to stay his prisoner forever: "You must go to him."  Belle, with a mixture of gratitude and regret, leaves the castle that has been her prison for so long.  Cogsworth, unaware of her departure, congratulates his master on his successful courtship: "True love wins the day!"  Beast, shaking his head in despair: "I let her go."  Cogsworth, stunned that he would release the only thing capable of breaking his curse: "You what!"  Lumiere: "Master, how could you do that?"  Beast: "I had to."  Cogsworth: "But why?"  Mrs. Potts: "Because he loves her."

Gaston, determined to kill the Beast so he can have Belle to himself, is on the roof, chasing him from turret to turret.  As the palace begins to crumble beneath them, the two men face one another.  Gaston strikes at the Beast with a makeshift club torn from the castle wall.  He hits him again and again, but the Beast doesn't strike back.  Gaston has the Beast trapped and is about to throw him from the castle when the Beast, defending himself, knocks the weapon away.  He grabs Gaston by the throat and dangles him threateningly over the edge.  Gaston pleads for the mercy he had been unwilling to give: "Don't let me go.  Please.  I'll do anything.  Don't hurt me, Beast!"  Beast looks him in the eye, stating firmly: "I am not a beast!"  He releases Gaston, ordering him off the property.  While the Beast has his back turned, Gaston runs for his pistol and shoots him in the back.  The Beast cries out, falling to the floor.  The castle walkway crumbles underneath Gaston's feet and he plunges to his death.
