ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show thousands of movie titles and TV shows from a number of producers, including all the major studios. - Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including movie content? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include movie content, the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming movie content - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream movie content inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include movie content, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

After rogue soldiers detonate a bomb inside the Montana craft, Louise returns alone. The Heptapods send down a transport pod, where she learns that Abbott has been mortally wounded in the explosion.


Louise comes to understand that she can perceive the past, present, and future simultaneously. She experiences a vision of a future United Nations ceremony celebrating the global unity achieved through deciphering the Heptapods’ language. At the event, General Shang thanks her for stopping the attack—explaining that she called his private number.

Costello reveals that the Heptapods have come to help humanity because, in 3,000 years, they will need humanity’s help in return. Louise realizes that the ‘weapon’ they offer is actually their language—one that reshapes human perception of time, allowing people to experience past, present, and future simultaneously. Her visions of a daughter are revealed not as memories, but as glimpses of a future that has yet to unfold.

Louise and Ian meet the aliens after they arrive.

Louise is holding her newborn daughter's hand, looking into her sleeping face.  Her voice narrates the scene as if speaking to her daughter sometime in the future: "I used to think this was the beginning of your story.  Memory is a strange thing.  It doesn't work like I thought it did.  We are so bound by time, by its order."  A nurse picks up baby Hannah and she begins to cry.  Louise holds her arms out to the child: "Come back to me."  Time passes and Hannah is a little girl playing cowboy with her mother.  They giggle together as they romp about the yard.  Louise narrates again: "I remember moments in the middle."  Louise is tucking an even older Hannah into bed.  Hannah whispers: "I love you."  Time passes and a teenage Hannah yells at her mom: "I hate you!"  Time passes again and an anxious Louise stands in a doctor's office, watching as the physician examines Hannah.  Later, Louise is crying as a terminal diagnosis is given.  Louise, narrating at her daughter's deathbed: "And this was the end."  Louise gently caresses Hannah's still face, whispering the same words she spoke at her birth: "Come back to me."  Louise, narrating: "But now I'm not so sure I believe in beginnings and endings.  There are days that define your story beyond your life."

Louise enters her classroom, surprised at the mere handful of students attending her college linguistics course that day.  As she begins her lecture, several cell phones begin to ring, prompting one of the students to ask Louise to turn on the news.  Confused, she complies, watching in amazement as a newscaster informs the world that alien spaceships have landed on Earth.  Suddenly, an alarm begins to blare loudly in the classroom.  Louise quickly dismisses her students and joins the throng of people evacuating the building.  Security personnel are interspersed throughout the crowd, making sure people move to their vehicles in an orderly fashion.  Loud military jets speed low across the sky, underlining the feeling of danger.  Inside the parking garage, fear is mounting as hundreds of people try to leave at the same time.  Cars become immobile in lines, car alarms blare, and minor fender benders occur.  Louise looks up at the sky as more jets fly overhead.

Soldiers are gathered around a news broadcast, listening to descriptions of riots and looting around the world following the landing of twelve alien spaceships.  Newscasters describe the fearful reactions of the populace, whose terror has prompted them to unlawful acts.  A second news story describes the actions of a particular religious group called the Saint Lawrence Pentecostal Cult, who set fire to their own compound in response to the alien arrival.  A view of the cult's website shows a painting of Jesus holding a lamb and a portrait of a pastor with the message: "Pastor Ethan Soper Welcomes You."  The newscaster attributes the mass suicide to a prophecy believed in by the cult which was fulfilled by the arrival of the aliens.

Louise, holding a whiteboard, approaches the glass barrier dividing the spaceship.  Having written the word, "human," she says it aloud and points to herself.  The squid-like creatures on the other side of the barrier appear to understand.  Growling and clicking, they reach out fingered tentacles and begin to write a message of their own on the barrier window.  A black mist forms a strange, circular marking.  Ian gasps in amazement: "Louise, that's incredible!"  Louise smiles, repeating her message and again pointing at herself and at Ian.  The two aliens respond again, this time making several different marks.  Louise and Ian laugh, pleased with their first efforts at communication.

Colonel Weber approaches Louise, questioning her strategy of communicating with the aliens by writing (see scene # CV09229).  Louise is certain it will be the best way to avoid misunderstanding.  To illustrate, she tells a story: "Kangaroo.  In 1770, Captain James Cook's ship ran aground off the coast of Australia, and he led a party into the country, and they met the Aboriginal people.  One of the sailors pointed at the animals that hop around and put their babies in their pouch, and he asked what they were.  And the Aborigine said, 'Kangaroo.'"  Weber: "And the point is?"  Louise: "It wasn't until later that they learned that 'kangaroo' means 'I don't understand.'  So, I need this so that we don't misinterpret things in there.  Otherwise, this is gonna take ten times as long."

Louise is narrating the scene as if talking to her future daughter, Hannah.  Louise, able to see the future, knows that she is about to embark on a relationship with Ian that will culminate in their marriage and the birth of their child: "So, Hannah, this is where your story begins."  (Louise has already seen that her daughter will die of cancer in her teens and that her husband will leave her.)  But she is willing to face the pain in return for the reward of her life with her family: "Despite knowing the journey and where it leads, I embrace it.  And I welcome every moment of it."  As Louise stands next to her husband-to-be, memories of the future flood her mind.  She sees baby Hannah, smiling peacefully in her sleep.  She sees Ian and herself, tucking an older Hannah into bed for the night.  Back in the present, Louise looks at Ian, overwhelmed by what is to come.  Ian, oblivious as to what their future entails, can sense that Louise is emotional: "You okay?"  Louise: "If you could see your whole life from start to finish, would you change things?"  Ian is silent for a moment before responding: "Maybe I'd say what I feel more often."

The Heptapods give Louise and Ian all the information they can.
