Scene #1  Pt. 4: Privileged astronauts reflect on visiting Moon  (SV01204)

Between 1968 and 1972, nine rockets traveled to the Moon. The men on board are the only human beings to have visited another world. Gene Cernan (Apollo 10 & 17), “I called the Moon my home for three days of my life, and I’m here to tell you about it. That’s science fiction.” Charlie Duke (Apollo 16), “My father was born shortly after the Wright brothers. He could barely believe that I went to the Moon. But my son, Tom, was five. And he didn’t think that it was any big deal.”
