ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between CVLI (Christian Video Licensing International) and CCLI (Christian Copyright Licensing International) and MPLC (Motion Picture Licensing Corporation).
ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI (the CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature).
In February of 2008, ScreenVue was divided into a STANDARD service, which will include all the Scene Ideas, and a PLUS service, which will include the Scene Ideas plus all the available Scene Downloads. The delivery of DVD and CD ROM units ceased after the May 2008 edition.
The premium service (ScreenVue PLUS) is available for a fee of $34.95 per year, rather than the previous $99 fee. Each CVLI member receives a free SV STANDARD membership with the ability to upgrade to SV PLUS.
